The way that Cuban pitcher with the marlins throws his curveball is how I throw mine. Mike Jackson taught me how to, “properly” throw a curveball and a slider. It is so hard to control, but it moves so much!

A Screwball is the opposite of a curve. You hold it like a curveball and use the opposite arm motion. Its called a Screwball because it screws your arm up.

The Gyro ball is supposed to be thrown with a spiral like a football if you do it right the break is almost supposed to look like a cutter but a little earlier than a cutter would break and a little bit more inconspicuous... you don't realize that it's moving in until you've already swung through it.

This is so in accurate. Blitz balls move nothing like baseballs. The seams on baseballs is what makes the wind move around the ball and forces it to move in the air. Blitz balls don’t have seams, therefore they will move differently than a real baseball would

the cup pitch is how I throw my curve, its like a slurve and from different arm angles and how you release the ball it comes out different. if you put you fingers out front with your wrist really bent its a 12-6 and it can be slow and almost like an euphis and when thrown harder it has unreal bite. when you go side arm its 2-3 mph slower but it has more side to side action than up and down. 3 quarters and up it will break like a curve. all you need to know is, its a lot filthier than snapping your wrist.

A physicist would be able to tell you whether or not a riser pitch is possible, not a scientist...it requires physics, not science, a chemist would develop something to make it grip better, a physicist would say how it would hypothetically behave, a scientist could tell you about moss growing on one you found in the woods
