Flying can be exhausting and extremely mentally taxing, so seeing a guy walking around in full Master Chief armor must have been pretty awesome for them. A bit of joy in the monotony and annoyance of the airport.

I'm terrified of heights no joke but even once I get to about the 3rd or 4th rung of a ladder I'll start to panic, I'll also try to stay as far away as possible from railings if I'm on a 2nd floor because I'm so paranoid of falling over, or getting pushed over, or like the railing breaking that I'll just try and hug the wall, it's definitely into irrational phobia levels of fear but I just hate heights so much, if Humans were meant to be off the ground we'd have wings is usually my defense for being terrified

Every time I go to my councillor’s office I always come dressed in my inflatable dinosaur suit to surprise all the people in different hall rooms. I love their reactions and making their days. I plan to visit this local hospital near where I live to make people’s day there too. Cosplaying/dressing up can really make a difference in someone’s life.
Fun Fact: Me and my friend took an xbox 360 in a green WWII Med locker lookin case on an airplane while wearing suits. People insisted we cut them in line for the security checkpoint. It wasn't until later that I thought they might have thought that we were transporting organs or something.

From my experience American Airlines is probably if not the friendliest staff ever. I brought a guitar to the plane once flying to Spain and they loved it and even asked for me to play at some point! Love those people!
Honestly, I wonder if the reason it went so well was because he had the helmet off most of the time. When you see the armor + friendly face, it might not be as scary or worrisome as a man in full armor + helmet and isn't saying much (in true Master Chief style).

I would argue that actually sitting on a multiple hour flight trip in Halo armor is way worse and more difficult to endure, than getting the armor itself through security. Just the sheer amount of uncomfortable feelings you’ll have from sitting in a crampt up seat with very little leg space (idk how tall you are) as well as sitting next to people would just have you bumping into them
