It's unfortunate that the ANC has been so easily corrupted by Iran. There is a small but vibrant Jewish community here, particularly in Johannesburg, where I live. Jews in this country tend to stick together, attending the same schools, such as King David and Yeshiva, and living in similar areas. I've noticed three anti-Israel billboards, definitely sponsored by the Muslim community, with whom rational dialogue is impossible. But unlike in the West, we don't see protests here; third-world countries have too many of their own issues to focus on others 😂 And our universities wouldn't tolerate bullshit that affects students' studies. I don't know what it says about the leading democracies in the West.
As the UN has not served its original purpose for many years, and in fact has become a sinister, terrorism supporter, it must, therefore, be abolished immediately for the protection and continuance of humanity. 🙏🇮🇱
Meh. The same resolution that created Israel set aside land for the Palestinians that Israel, Egypt, and Jordan promptly stole. Expansion was always the point, and the founders lied about this to the UN.

There is nothing that can be done or said to make people come to their senses. The reaction of the world to October 7th should tell you everything you need to know. Israel can only depend on itself going forward.

The UN created the state of Israel and I agree, the UN should dismantle the state of Israel in order for the Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and farms.

He really does know so much about the UN. I have a current hypothesis. I think we need to make videos about the formation of the UN and the preceding geo politics. Hillel brushed across the relationship between Hitler and Al-Husseini; you can be your bottom dollar that the students at the tentifadas are not at all aware of this relationship. Nor of the colonising activities of the caliphates, nor what Dinka or Kurds are likely to say about racism, terrorism, slavery etc. One thing I do like to do is watch and subscribe to antiterrorism influencers from the Middle East and North Africa that do content in English. There aren’t many, but they do exist. I may have to make a playlist.
Hillel's analysis is fantastic as usual and his work should be shared everywhere. To chip in to the point about the demand for stories that paint the Jewish people or Israel in a bad light - when you look at data models for politics which is what we do, we notice some fascinating patterns that augment his analysis. Moral Models The far left, which he rightfully points to are used by Hamas and Israel's enemies, fire negative scores for the 3 conservative traits. Those 3 conservative traits are in-group preference, hierarchy and sanctity. This means Israel is easy to target as as it exemplifies these characteristics across all 3 dimensions while holding onto to the shared common dimensions of care / harm and justice. As Hillel points out accurately the historical record has these same people reject any other nation or dictator who abuses the same rights so when you control for this the only common factor that falls out is that the so called "violator" is either Jewish or of a western nation. I ran a bunch of non controlled experiments where we incrementally tested this by using their own ontology as such. We tempted them to agree that colonialism was bad. They agreed. We added settler colonialism. They agreed. We added imperialism. Even more agreement, We then added West Bank and got a resounding amount of support. We finally added Islamic and they ditched their entire moral position, rejected their own epistemic stance and resorted to accusations of Islamophobia. We ran another set of tests of our models using the right wing ontology of ethno nationalism in reverse. They balked at the idea of ethno nationalism especially in the European context. They did the same wherever the West was involved and fired negative in-group preference scores claiming racism was the motivation. We then asked them if they supported ethno nationalism for Palestine and the identical pattern of epistemic incoherence emerged. For our final experiment we switched the dimensions and stressed the care/harm and justice dimension and in this case built up support for the case for human rights, human dignity, fairness and other derivative traits for the liberal dimensions, The support was understandably strong and immediate. We then pointed out lists of the top Jewish people who have been at the forefront over centuries of such movements. Again - an epistemic fit, accusations of Zionist fascism and it's attendant insults. This highlights the point made by Hillel and others and what we know from timeless wisdom. In all cases all they mean and all they want to say is it's the Jews. Great interview!!!

It was quite an eye opener to see them ratified and then have that same ratification line up with the collective wisdom our people have known, albeit informally for years. Watched this from Ireland I am not Jewish but I support the Jewish people and Israel. This is an excellent interview and an education on the United Nations on why it is so anti-semitic anti-Israel now. Excellent analysis on UN history. Can I say reason why western countries went against Russia at the UN is self preservation fear of Putins Russia taking them over!!! As far as Amnesty International I have lost respect for that organisation over 20 years ago. Democracies are in serious trouble in western countries or should I say western democracies when universities students are behaving like University students in Iran when both left and Islamists joined together in a revolution in Iran in 1979. The conseqences are there today as far as I can see and the similarities in western countries have a striking resemblence. Thank you for this enlightening interview

Surely the head of the UN’s “didn’t happen in a vacuum” remark that was so deplorable also gave not just succour to Hamas when they had the hostages, but succour to those who would work to demonise Israel in order to isolate it completely. Hamas had no business invading and attacking Israel on Oct 7, just as the head of the UN had no business in lecturing Israel by basically saying that it had had it coming. Israel was no more responsible for Oct 7 than America was for 9/11. What was just as disappointing as the UN head’s remark was the little if any criticism of it by Western leaders who should know better. Maggie Thatcher would have expressed her alarm and ire at such a simpering remark. Does the West have no more the courage of its convictions? Thatcher had said back in 1980 that “a crime is a crime is a crime” in relation to the IRA hunger strikes in prisons when some of its members were demanding political status as prisoners.
