I think I would've given up after that first struggle didn't hit that munchlax, idk if I'd even get THAT far, massive props for going through with this
Since struggle only seemed to not work in the Diamond / Pearl clan battles, my guess would be that because those fights can have multiple Pokémon on the field at once and struggle picks a random target during those battles, something is programed incorrectly that causes struggle to have a chance to target non-existent Pokémon.
Such a shame Mr. Masochist forgot Magikarp was, in fact, a fish, and needed water to survive. He could have kept his friend after the run :( The beast that Magikarp is, he hung on throughout the whole run while suffocating slowly. F in respect

You already know Keegan does these tedious things to keep us entertained and I appreciate that. Doing this whole run and battling that Kricketune when you could’ve caught it just shows how much effort he puts in these runs and videos just to keep us entertained. Keep up the great work Keegan!

@@jiminplsletmehit7620 I think you're forgetting the fact that it only took hundreds of items and several hours because it was a Magikarp. One that couldn't get tackle or flail because this games weird. Imagine a legitimate team of good pokemon, items can make these games laughably easy if you even half know how to use them.

I’m shocked you did this super hard challenge. I can bet you were so exhausted and frustrated losing so many many times cause how awful Magikarp is in this game compared to the other Pokémon games. I applaud you my good friend
F. It was bad enough dragging magikarp to lvl 95 to maybe possibly survive the path of solitude. After that experience I would not have expected you to make it, but you did. Congratz.
Idk why Keegan puts himself through the pain and torture of getting through the most difficult Pokémon game with the weakest Pokémon. I can only imagine the blood pressure boiling whenever you have to take on the same boss or trainer over and over again
@@zerotodona1495 in various other games, Magikarp could learn a few other moves, like tackle, flail, bounce and even hydro pump. If removing all of that from its movepool and leaving it with only splash is not a nerf, then I have no idea what that word means. All this assuming you don't look at it chronologically of course
by the waydotn pokemons have items and abilities - some about contact damage, also i can remember 'battle armor' that negates all critical hits, i was sure this run would be easier "we are gonna nerf it" 1:11 - well it is true, it is one of the best pokemons in nuzlocks (as 'pokemon challenges' says), one day it had to be nerfed =) to break and refresh meta
Little did he knew, he could try to catch the Kricketune at the start of the game instead of ko-ing it. It is by no mean easy to do without the blessing of RNGsus, but possible and requiring less items to stay alive.

I gotta give ppl like this, all the credit in the world. This is Patience beyond measure. Meanwhile I lose my Patience within an instant, just waiting for the mailman. And so because of such, I know I wouldn't even last an hour doing this. Let alone an entire gameplay of it.
