@@coreyhulin9906 Of course his teammates "vouch" for him. If they don't they'll get teh Winston/Gardner-Johnson treatment. We have no viable backup QB, and likely Rattler will never see the field, because Allen wants no competition for Carr so there is no choice. Carr played when he was too injured to do so effectivly because of his ego. Can you imagine Brees or WInston publicly yelling at and disrespecting his receivers? No, they had too much class and were too good a teammate respectively. Allen is Jim Mora 2.0. He doesn't make personnel decisions, he makes personal decisions and cuts people (Winston, CJGJ who aren't . .. his type of people) I'm wondering how long it's going to before he starts trying to enforce a dress code like Mora. But it shows a problem with culture. Penning looked impressive in college becasue he was bullying around players who were a lot smaller and a lot worse at small schools. As soon as he was playing against guys as big and nasty as him, he fell apart. But people love him because "he's a beast!" because he starts fights,. and they consder that a good thing. Allen clearly agrees since he also thinks that the QB yelling at his receivers in public is a good look. (He's a competitor!) I hope they succeed and prove me wrong, because I am a die-hard Saints fan. I'm just not blind enough to expect it. Allen doesn't care about winning games. He cares about making sure everyone knows that he's the boss, he cares about not losing by too much. He cares about Dennis Allen and Dennis Allen's ego. I supported DA when he first got chosen as coach. I gave Carr a chance, eventhough I think he's a mediocre QB. I knew Penning was a disaster, but two of the three I gave a chance to. And I was foolish and blind to do so.
