Really looking forward to ride like this and explore new places. Coming from construction background, listening to big machines and all the noises made me crave this kind of serene adventure even more. Just me , my bike and nature. Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Great ride John, thanks for taking us along, for someone like me living in Australia seeing mountains and elevations like that is a novelty , loved the Onion creek ride. Take care.
Good to hear from you sir, I would say you have excellent taste in motorcycles. I have to inform you however that I speak a very poor form of English... you might want to find someone who speaks better English than I to learn from... :) Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
Great series and beautiful scenery. Glad the CFMoto was ok. Thanks for all the hard work to share the journey and helpful advice about the bike. Its on my list to possibly get one. I finally found a dealership that had it in my area and I got to sit on one the other day. A little taller than I expected but fit pretty well.
I rode my FJR the entire length of Route 50 from Maryland where I live to California and back last year, and the section from past Canon City to Montrose including Monarch Pass is one sweet ride. I don’t have any problem with power up high, but the FJR fully loaded including top case and gear on the passenger seat, is a pig of a bike on the twisties. Nice video!
Great videos! I have about 2100 miles on mine that I bought last August. I've taken it on two offroad campouts and it performed great with Kenda Big Block tires on it. I'm taking it on the WA BDR this summer as well as to the Touratech Rally in Plain, Washington. It's such a great bike!!
Good to hear from you sir, glad to hear you are enjoying your bike. Sounds like you have a big summer ahead of you... I am sure it will be a blast on the Ibex... thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
I've dropped 2 FJR's in the same place in my yard. No damage either time, slow motion, but at my age thankfully the adrenalin was flowing and I got them picked up but agreed, it was all I could do. She's a heavy girl up top.
A too heavy girl is nice don’t like the bottom heavy ones ohh snap were talking bikes huhh🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note though One of the many reasons I got a GSA instead of lots of cheaper alternatives… but when I will downgrade Ibex is in the radar for sure. Another great video there !!!
Love your Colorado videos! I was born and raised in Gunnison, Colorado. I just did a week long riding trip in June. Brought my KTM 890, and my Rieju 300. Stayed in Montrose. Did a ton of riding.
Seen something on aliexpress like a stick jack, one end on the ground other end on your bike,, pump it with a foot pedal, and it helps raise it up. Might be good to carry along.. Im 5f9inch 150 lbs. Got mine up after dropping from a momentary brain fart. Had all luggage on but empty at least .. Back to the bike method didnt work for me. Faced the bike leaned over it while grabbing, tried to act like a lever, got my knee under it and from there up it went !
Good to hear from you sir... I hope to see you out there soon... like your picture... reminds me of someone just can't put my finger on who... thanks for watching... :)
Great series, thanks for taking the time to put it together for us all. I must say I’ve enjoyed my CF Moto. I’ve got about 8,000kms on mine so far. Looking forward to putting some more dirt orientated tyres on her and hitting up some more dirt roads. Cheers from Aus 🇦🇺
Good to hear from you sir, Glad you liked the videos. Congrats on your new bike, hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine... thanks for watching... keep safe out there.. :)
Great to hear your IBEX survived the storm and your journey was successful John and I after riding iBEX myself on a demo ride I can understand your smile riding this awesome machine. I really like the KTM TWIN engine design and wish they would commit to building a new engine with a forward pitch like the HONDA 750 but with a 270 crank and gear box like the IBEX to lower the CG of the bike and put the gas tank under the seat to bring the CG even lower like the HONDA ST1100 did now that would be a radical bike.
Hello there sir, good to hear from you. Well the heat blowing in my legs is hot.... I will get a review out on the CFMOTO in my next video asap... thanks for watching sir... keep safe out there.. :)
Great series John, I really enjoyed it. I just drove the US 50 segment from Salida to Pueblo last week for the third time. It never gets old. Question, when your bike blew over, was it on the side stand or center stand? My AT blew over like that once when on it’s side stand.
Good to hear from you sir, my bike was on the side stand when it blew over. A gust front hit it directly in the left side. Hwy 50 across Colorado is one of my favorites for sure... thanks for watching... :)
What a great epic journey! Wow, that was some strong wind to blow the mighty Ibex over! Was it on the side stand or centre stand when it was blown over? How did you go picking it up off the deck? Glad you’re ok & back home! Is the engine heat a big concern? Definitely in the heat of summer, but most adventure bikes do punch out a lot of heat I think.🤔 Well done & thanks for your videos of your beautiful journey 🙏👌⭐️
Hello there sir, The Ibex was on the side stand when it got blown over. The Ibex is not bad to pick up on level ground. It is much easier to lift than the Triumph Tiger. The Ibex has a lower center of gravity and the crash bars keep it from laying flat on the the ground... Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
Terrible to see the bike down. Which metod dod you use to pick it up? I dread doing that. Also, I'm wondering if you change the seat to the taller one? I think I will be doing that.
Hi , how do you find the throttle ?? I have test rode the exact bike and found it a little snatchy ive heard they remap it or something similar. Thanks for the video excellent work
hello there sir, good to hear from you. Yes I received an over the air update shortly after this trip and it did help the throttle control quite a bit. The bike does not suffer with a snatchy throttle now but there is still some lean surging at low speeds that still needs to be ironed out... Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
Hello there sir, good to hear from you... I am not a wine drinker so I have no preference but it seems as though they do have some top notch wineries in Colorado... thanks for watching... keep safe out there.. :)
Hello there sir, good to hear from you... the service interval is different for different bikes. Generally though the oil change interval depends on the oil capacity of the engine. These days an engine that holds 3 liters of oil will usually have an oil change interval of 5000 miles or more. If an engine only holds 2 liters of oil the interval will be less. I personally do not go longer that 5000 miles on an oil change even if the manufacturer says it can go longer... thanks for watching... keep safe out there.. :)
Hello there sir, good to hear from you... that guard came all the way from down town China via aliexpress... there are hundreds to choose from... thanks for watching... :)
Your country is amazing with all these passes. I'm lucky to live on the central east coast of Australia where there are at least some hills but 90% of this ancient country is flat and dry. I'd definitely be hard on the tail of Speed Racer if I was on that road. It must been one hall of a wind to blow it over. I saw the kickstand foot. People have said it leans too far on the stand without it, so I'm blaming the foot for standing the bike up too far!
Good to hear from you Mr. Sac... I invite you to come to the USA and we will go for a ride together... You do have some pretty magnificent country there as well up in the High Country... some of the most rugged ridding I have seen is up there... Hope to see you soon... thanks for watching and keep safe out there... :)
@@jonsmith9892 Thanks John, I'll take you up on that if I'm ever over there. Yes, the Snowy Mountains have great roads I've ridden a lot. We also have the Oxley Highway nearby that is 20 miles of constant 25 mph corners (in your units).
