Amazon has a 12v heated throw and it draws 45-50 watts..it honestly gets really warm.I use it to warm up once i get into bed and then have to turn it off.If i wake up cold then i put it on again ... honesty ,use maybe 100 watts of power a night 😊
You could put it under your bottom sheet to keep it in place, or pin the edges to the blanket above it, just do not pin through the wires. But it's great info since I have thought to get one. I have an older queen size electric blanket in storage that I don't use because it gets too warm for me. I'm also looking at carpet Matt squares to put on my floor since I have that snap together flooring and it's very cold all year long. Yes, you need a bigger jackery or a deep cycle marine battery or 2 - O'Reilly group 31 $135 + core charge +/-, they are very good batteries.
Sunbeam has a heating pad that draws about 40 watts on high. I keep mine mid back and keeps me very warm. Sometimes too warm. They’re about 20 bucks at Walmart
Nice test. I get similar power consumption with mine and it also doesnt increase the power much on different settings. That being said i dont use it because i accidendtly found a heating pad works just the same or better. Its only 50w and i put one under my covers and i think it worked better then my blanket, cant remember i havent used the blanket in a while. Just have to be carefdul i woke up sweaty one time. If you got good covers thats all you need - a source of heat, so putting heating elements on the outside of a blanket im not sure is the most efficient way to heat. A heat source inside with good insulating blankets seems to work just as good if not better. Just be careful they're not designed for you to sleep on, i keep my near my belly it works great. On another note those handwarmers burned me one night when i left some in my pocket, just a tiney little rash it looked like but it took so long to heal more so then a regular scratch on the skin. Heating pads are close they got pretty hot so i only keep it on the lowest setting and that works ok.
@@MyWellnessJourney1 why not ? It has a built-in CO 2 detector and and emergency shut off switch if it does tip over . It also runs on a one pound propane tank for over 5 hours and heats over 900 sq ft .
The Buddy heaters take oxygen out of the room because of the propane. I wouldnt sleep with one on either! Electric blanket with quilt or sleeping bag over you.❤
