My journey has come to an end. 

I’m alright. Feeling a little better now. But nothing has changed. DoorDash isn’t enough, can’t find a job, sleeping in my car, and that’s my life. Life is weird. I updated the video description also.

I am going to be 72 in a few days. I live in my bedroom with NO desire to come out. I have been a loner for all my life. I am only happy when I am alone. Got it from my father who ditched me before I was even born. I have everything delivered to me. I use Amazon to deliver goods and Walmart for my groceries. They just leave everything on my porch and leave without seeing me. I couldn't even tell you who my neighbors are. AND I LOVE IT! So take it from a man who is old enough to be your grandfather. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A LONER! My world is the happiest when I am totally alone. Don't take the drugs. You don't need them and they will only hurt you. Best of luck. Never think lowly of yourself. We are all special in OUR OWN WAY!

Rob, some of what you’re feeling could be because you’re coming off the meds. Don’t think that you’ll be this down forever. Give it a little time and see if you feel better. And…there’s no pressure to do RU-vid videos. Do it when you feel like talking and forget it the rest of the time. Reach out to people. They may surprise you and reach back. 😊

Anti-depressants are known to make some people suicidal. Just take it easy and wait for that stuff to leave your system. Don't make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.

Been homeless on & off since 2015, and during that time been arrested twice, my mother died while I was in jail. Bounced around Georgia for about 4 years, and then moved to Florida in 2019. It's been hell trying to make it work. I'm 54 years old, and I don't know how much more I can take. I've worked almost the whole time. Tired to get out of being homeless on my own and I still struggle. Like you I'm very depressed & anxious most of the time. Most days I'm so damn miserable. I keep telling myself; "If I could just get a van & a good paying job, I'll be fine." Maybe one day my dream will come true, and everything will be good again. One thing that keep me my not killing myself, is helping others. It gives me a purpose and a reason to keep living. When I'm at my darkest, I make a way to help others. It give me peace, and I hope one day you'll find peace as well. I pray for both of us, and everyone that struggles with life. God Bless My Friend ...

I'm not well either. Started following you back around Aug 2022; first vid I watched was you in a makeshift shelter up in NY. Lots of snow. There was a sort of comfort, in seeing how you lived. Not something I can explain. At that time my wife had just kicked me out for no reason. Just up and decided she didn't want to be married anymore after 20 years. So I got on Amtrak and came up here. Shortly after, my younger brother passed away. Then my father went in the hospital and then he died. The maelstrom continued. I was living the Book of Job. Last I remember, followed your walk south, ending somewhere in Harper's Ferry. Escapism looked good. Just leave it all behind. I'm too old now to be a nomad. I do really just want to be free somewhere and live in peace. No red tape. No IRS, DMV, State agency bullshit in my life. You have a good eye for things. I pray also. I'll add you in those prayers, for better or worse. Peace.

I would say it takes a lot of guts to get in front of a camera and try and explain to the world how you feel. Man, I got mad respect for you right there. Anywho, I am glad that u had enough guts to come forward and let us know how u are doing. I do hope u can find resolve within yourself, and some peace of mind, somehow, someway. somewhere. The hard thing is that, only you know what that looks like. I feel like.. I know what you mean when you say you have no motivation, no purpose and nothing seems to make you happy. Rob, been watching your journey for over a year, and I can tell you that you seemed most satisfied/fulfilled/purposeful when you were active. When you were hiking, helping out at one of the jobs at places that helped others, etc. That is PURPOSE. We all need identity, we all need reason. We all need purpose. You've had those in your time on YT, and you can have it again.

Rob i have known of you and followed you from when you lived in that tarp up on the side of that hill by the interstate man you've probably done more in the past three or four years then most people will do in their entire life get Jesus in your life and I promise you you'll never regret it get up out of that dirt dust them birches off and go back to put one foot in front of the other just like you have been doing and everything's going to be alright 🙏

Hey Rob, I would consider looking into being a ranger at a national park perhaps. You have a community through work that you don’t have to see too often, you can meet people on trails and exchange stories, most importantly you’re surrounded by nature though. Food for thought, and I wish you the best on this rollercoaster we call life!

Hey Rob - I was on the same meds as you and it’s really tough when you come off of them. That feeling of nothingness will pass eventually. Just keep going. And as someone who’s hard on myself a lot, I have to consciously try to be empathetic and kind to myself and understand that life puts us in difficult situations, and often we make mistakes. Sometimes we make the same mistakes over and over. But that’s okay, that’s how we grow as people and find our path in life. It takes a very long time sometimes but you will find it. And don’t put pressure on yourself about the RU-vid channel, you have no obligation to anyone. Try not to be too judgmental to yourself either. Don’t beat yourself up about what you spend your money on - whether is the “right” or “wrong” thing (according to who, by the way? Nobody!), it doesn’t matter because even if it’s a short-term step back, it will ultimately lead you in the only possible direction - FORWARD! On a personal note, you’ve inspired me to keep pushing on in life no matter what, especially when it’s the hardest to do so. So I’m here to hopefully return the favor - keep on keepin’ on brother!

I've dealt with severe anxiety and panic disorder for years that impacted every part of my life. I'll be 62 on June 6 and I've somehow managed to get my life on track in spite of the odds. Like you, I don't prefer crowds. But, I'm finally settled on 2 acres of land and building my future after years of bouncing across the country. All I can say to you is that regardless of your current circumstances, change is guaranteed to happen. Take small steps in a direction that you want your life to go and set realistic goals for yourself. I've started over many times throughout my life. So, whatever happens, never throw in the towel and give up on yourself. It may take some time, but you'll eventually get to a place where you can feel good about your life.

I feel you man, I'm never gonna have a family, or a home. I try to find excitement in adventure. Seeing new things meeting new people, creating new opportunities. As an 44 year old who was orphaned and raised by the state, I've never had family, and when things start getting too depressing, I leave and go on an adventure. Good luck man.

I am glad I came across your channel sometime in early 2024 You gave me just a minuscule glimpse into your life, and I connected with your hiking the Appalachian Trail, especially in Pennsylvania. Right now at 68 years of age, I am widowed, and my adult children and grandkids really don't talk to me too much and my brothers don't talk to me too much, so I am alone too, in a way, and that the way I need to be right now. The only people i talk to briefly are the loaders,and every once in a while, a elderly or handicap need the grocery brought in. You may need to stay for a bit. Please, many people care for you and you do have a future. You just can't see it right now. Only you can do this for yourself. Please go.

Isolation takes a far bigger toll than most realize..even for someone like myself who typically loves being alone…there comes a point. You’re not at all alone in the sense of being tired..not knowing where to go or what to do though..not even a little bit brother. Please continue to update 🤙..and you’re right - you DON’T need the meds..but they do suck to come off of, I think that goes for any medication that can alter brain chemistry. Keep your head up and keep looking for what’s next…something’s gotta give eventually..doesn’t it?

Rob, I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do. Volunteering helps with getting to know people and developing friendships. I find that when I am feeling overwhelmed, lost or lonely, it’s helpful for me to help others and in turn it helps me. Anyway, take care of yourself. ✌🏼

I'm currently homeless again. Been homeless since late November of last year. It's rough. I also deal with depression and anxiety. I'm not very good socially either. I usually keep to myself. The way I deal with my depression and anxiety is by playing video games and watching anime. Things I enjoy. The one piece of advice I will give you is if you need direction you should talk to a therapist. Not because there's something wrong with you but because you feel lost in life so having someone to talk to can help. There's nothing wrong about asking for help when you need it. From there you can decide what you want to do with your life. It's as easy as taking small steps towards a goal. The goal doesn't have to be anything major. It can be as simple as getting up and doing your laundry. The point is if you break life down into accomplishing those small goals rather than focusing on the big picture all of the time it will help make it so life doesn't feel as overwhelming.

You migjt try a small sailboat, 30 ft. You seem like the liveaboard lifestyle and the sea might suit you. Check it out with someine who is doing it . There is a brotherhood there😊. Some derelict boats can be had for free if you look around. Just need some tlc which is therapeutic in itself. Can chat about it anytime. Good luck, thanks for sharing.

It's always the simple things that matter most. Breathe DEEP Breathe SLOW (through the nose) Make it the first thing you do when getting into bed at night and again before you leave it in the morning. Repeat throughout the day. Make this your routine and focus.

Rob, please reach out to the VA. As a veteran with low income you will qualify for free mental health care. Look up the Vet Center in your area, they also offer free mental health for veterans. They can help you to keep pushing forward, brother. It’s okay that you felt that anger, now you need help processing and understanding the anger. Keep trying to push on and try to avoid making excuses or self sabotage. There is a happy life for you - even alone.

I completely understand, I have been living in what was a shed I made into a pool house for my mother. We are at odds a lot and i have had my dog since i got here. She doesn't like my dog. It will be time for us to go soon but, I don't know where or how. Most places wont allow me to have my dog. I will die before i give up my dog. So I am here trying to learn and figure out what to do.

It is absolutely Crazy times . I totally can relate to what your going through. To me it all comes down to will power. Set yourself a goal any goal and work towards it. And don't forget to pray ! God Bless .

Thanks for sharing what you're going through, Rob. I get the hopelessness, isolation, self-sabotage, rage, and struggle to find meaning. It's something I cope with daily due to "Complex PTSD". Have you heard of it before? Remember to practice self-compassion and, as others have said, give yourself time to re-adjust after changing medications. I get that people pushing their views and expectations can wear you out, especially as the life you live isn’t an easy one so the extra stress from that must be annoying at times. Just wanted to say thank you, your vids especially a couple of years ago when you were living in that tent under the snow covered tarps were a really good inspiration at a difficult time in my life. How you managed to make the most of a very dire situation and keep finding ways to adjust were really inspiring. And helpful to build some understanding of practical solutions to make the ever present risk of homelessness for a lower income worker seem less scary, hard for sure, but survivable.

Don't give up , life is hard I have experienced it myself and it's disappointing in so many ways , please keep fighting , because I've been fighting for years with depression and anxiety and I'm still fighting now at the age of 47 All my love any concerns

Rob, your sister loves you. Maybe you could phone her. You were happiest in your self made studio on the hill, being with nature. Can you find a place to create that again? Film nature for you tube? You are a loner and it’s your safest place. I understand that, but you need inner peace. People have shown you that you are likeable and worthy. Hold onto that. Find yourself a safe haven to be in nature , a bolt hole where you can be alone and recharge, but give yourself time to get back to a good place mentally. Multi B tablets will help, but get top quality and take them daily. They will help if you take them longterm . I wish you luck and l send you love. Please dont drop You Tube . Please hang in there. I know that it seems useless but believe me when i tell you that there are medical professionals out there who can help you. I felt much the same as you do. It was two years ago that depression hit me and at the time I felt lost and could not see anything positive to focus on .But thanks to opening up to my doctor , which was very difficult to do, i found help ..If you can accept that what you are suffering from is a recognized illness ,then it can be treated..

I'm also like this, I couldn't live without my wife I'm so lucky to have met her before I got out of highschool and then it still took 15 years of me living off and on with my parents. You might really need someone responsible enough in your life that can do all the technical world stuff for or with you bro I can't do that stuff I have Asperger's, social anxiety, OCD and tourette syndrome and I can't function in the fast moving world. That someone will come for you man don't give up and let people help I hope the best for you bro I really do
