She doesn't realize the Chargers always played close games with KC. Everyone is going to be stunned when the Chargers dominate them in the first meet-up.
Brandon Staley won his first matchup with KC. Sure, he lost the rest of them and finished 1-4 against the Chiefs, so Harbaugh has to win the first matchup just to keep up with Brandon Staley (who started 4-1 in 2021 before he and Herbert tanked and the Chargers missed the playoffs).
Donte is very well spoken, and as a guy who has played for coach Harbaugh, he undoubtedly knows what to expect to see from that team once they hit the field.
Harbaugh has a solid nucleus of talent. Plus the Chargers have extra draft picks. Harbaugh just left the BIG 10 and knows the gems. The Chargers will be a tuff team at home and on the road
Listen, I'm a die hard chargers fan.. but this roster isn't what some people think it is. They need some serious work to be done, and this turn around won't truly begin at a minimum of next season (cap space will be massive in 2025) but more realistically in the 26 season. Harbaugh can/will turn this around, but he needs time to build the roster up to what he envisions his team to untimately be.
If they get Malik Nabers they will all back up 10 yards and the bolts will rush for 5 a carry and then go yard when you don’t expect it to the next Tyreek
@@robmiller2221ummm he didnt have a coach aside from his rookie year in Shane Steichen who’s now a good head coach. Let him play chess and not checkers with morons and he tears up the league
Pretty sure the Chiefs have encountered Roman's offense and the Michigan defense in the last 2 seasons. "no one knows what to expect" is pure dishonesty
Agreed, it’s all about the men in the trenches and I guarantee if they don’t have Harrison Jr fall in their laps they’ll draft heavily OLine and watch a underrated running back and Gus moves to power fullback 💯
I'm soo excited for this year. The only coach I wanted the chargers to hire was harbaugh and no one else and they got it done, Dream come true!! Every team that harbaugh has coached they've had a winning record
ABSOLUTELY BUT HERBERT IS ALREADY PAST ALL THE QB'S WITH THE RIGHT PERSONNEL LIKE JIM AND NEW COACHES OL WR HE WOULD BE COME UNTOUCHABLE NO ONE CAN DOUBT HIS MOST RARE GIFTED TALENT GO CHARGERS GO KAY WE LOVE YOU
The Chargers lost 5 games by 3 points or less, as they were. Kay, if you don’t believe Harbaugh can flip 3 point losses into wins and is good for 10 wins? What are we doing? Why hire him? They brought in two run blocking TE that “can catch”, that essential eliminates Ekelers roll. Love the show, keep hustlin’. #BoltUp⚡️
In case you missed it, every offensive weapon who scored those points is now gone lol. They have a trash offense now and their defense has been one of the worst in the league for years. They need elite weapons and they are signing a RB who scares no one, two garbage TEs and a fullback. If you think Will Dissly or Hayden Hurst is going to duplicate what Ekeler did, you dont know a single thing about football lol. This is a 4 win roster and it's not going to get any better when they trade down and draft tackles instead of elite offensive talent.
@@michaelbell75You don't know a single thing about football lol Ekeler is not the RB they want. They want a frank gore lite and gus bus is that. Also Harbaugh never had great WR so whether than Keenan or not is the issue. The problem with the chargers was always preventing points. Which again Harbaugh is gonna do.
@@fscorpion678 well the AFC is loaded with elite talent everywhere. If you think trash like Quinten, Johnston and Gus Edwards is going to be competitive or keep any defensive coordinator up at night, you’re delusional. This is a 4 win team with this garbage roster. They better be drafting some elite weapons in two weeks, not tackles.
KAY! The game is won IN THE TRENCHES. Win the line of scrimmage and generally, you can change out the other parts with relative ease. Don't worry about who he's gonna throw to, or Ekeler being gone.
Justin Herbert, Derwin James jr, Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Tuli Tuipulotu, Asante samuel jr, Gus Edwards, reshawn slater, jamaree salyer, Will Dissley, Hayden Hurst, Bradley bozeman, poona ford denzel perrymen. Quite A few others with potential that are slept on, so that's more than a few players. plus the giant All star Coaching staff Harbaugh put together. Not to mention Harbaugh has alot of Draft picks and hes been competing against and analyzing all these players entering the draft for years so he should get quite a few NFL ready players in the Draft
Each team in the afc conference has a 12.5% chance of reaching the afc championship. Jim H has a 75% track record of reaching the conference title game. That means there’s 87.5 % odds that he gets the chargers there
Math whiff there. When you have two different percentages acting on one outcome, you have to multiply the two, not add them. As an example, if we're trying to determine the odds of flipping a coin twice and getting a particular combination, we multiple the 50% chance for each flip by the other, so the odds of each two-flip combination would be 25% (multiplying them together), not 100% (what you get if you add them). So, if the Chargers have a 12.5% chance and Harbaugh has a separate 75% chance, the actual percentage is 9.375% (12.5%x75%).
8 of the Chargers losses last year were one score games....with Staley at HC. Ekeler got injured in game 1. Corey Lindsley, all pro center was injured shortly after that. How many games was Mike Williams out? Harbaugh's history is clear. He does just fine without high profile WRs...he'd be fine with JJ McArthy at QB if they went crazy train and traded Justin Herbert because he has won the big games with lesser quarterbacks and WRs. So yeah, they'll draft WRs...maybe even MHJ, Nabors, or Odunze...but they don't have to. I'd expect a huge does of the run behind their new Center, new blocking TEs, and new Full-Back. And they do pick 5th in the draft in every round. AFC Championship in 1 year? Not crazy
@user-mk3vk7kb6b I was thinking about that very phrase. The last time the Chargers were serious contenders was under Shotti....and everyone was all down on his perceived dislike of throwing the ball. Now everyone is like, "run the ball first? Oh yeah" My how the pendulum has swung. I like the idea of having a really really good line. They open holes for the run game, keep pressure off the quarterback...there really is no reason not to want a pro bowl offensive line. They make lesser talents look like all pros....they really do. I also appreciate having a monster receiving threat over the top to remind defenses, yeah, we can hit you high too so maybe don't load the box. But you can do that with a 2nd round WR, a post draft free agent, or even Brock Bowers. Harbaugh loves tight ends. They block and Bowers blocks well for a rookie. So two-fer. I don't know the Chargers go heavy on O-line in the draft. It's clearly important to the team but it's not a weak line. D-line needs help...cornerbacks need help...WR absolutely need help...so I think, if they do what they say they will, it's BPA. If that can also address a need, they go BPA at a need then BPA. So early, maybe WR or CB. I think really good D-line later in the draft because they can be got there. But I don't think any position group is a lock. I think people are sleeping on the fact that the Chargers upgraded and expanded their coaching staff. The o-line is a want, but may not be a need. And we don't know what we have at RB yet because the line was beat all to hell last year and hadn't really been opening holes. We'll see what we see I guess
He is totally right! The chargers greatest weakness was coaching on every level… the Chargers are going to be a problem with great coaches in every area
the greatest problem was the roster was top heavy with contracts and no depth. "better coaching" isn't an advantage when schematically we're likely to witness an offense more conservative the Lombardi, and a defense that struggles in year 1 because Minter's defense has a much coverage complexity as Staley's.
Herbert 2 and 5 against the chiefs... sure... Now look closer at those games. Those games are super close and competitive in most cases. Imo better coaching decisions away from winning some of those. AFC Title game may be a bit of a stretch yr one, but year two? all in on that prediction.
Kay sounding like a straight up hater not gonna lie. Staley obviously didn't know what he was doing. Coaching staff change alone is gonna net a few wins over what they did last year and make the Chargers way more competitive in every other game.
She knows what everyone knows. Harbaugh is good but so is Andy Reid and he’s done it 3 times. Everything he just said about how Harbaugh coaches is just like Andy Reid. Unlike Harbaugh, Andy Reid’s team has a kickass defense and Patrick freaking Mahomes. If you think it’s going to be easy that is crazy.
Trade Justin Herbert to Minnesota, Allen, Williams & Ekeler gone. They don't want to throw the ball around (Greg Roman OC) Signed Gus Edwards. Draft JJ.
No, we dont. We have had one of the worst defenses in the league the past 3 years...thats SF team was loaded with elite defensive players, we have nothing even close.
NFL analysts look past the Chargers just like the Clippers in the NBA. Get your bets in now Charger fan!!! All the noise pushes that payoff even higher with every negative comment!
They look past y'all because every offseason they hype you up only to fall like a house of cards or choke a big lead in the playoffs. Weren't y'all supposed to win the division in the offseason when the chiefs lost Tyreek? You don't win the Superbowl in April. It took these past three years for the media to finally learn to stop hyping y'all up you just set us up for disappointment when December and January comes around
@@19EHF I get that. Coaching decisions have definitely been a major issue. I think having a proven coach like Harbaugh gives Chargers more credibility. We'll see!
Chargers have at least 9 draft picks and 30 million dollars to sign receivers… in a deep wide receiver draft .. there will be a ton of good receivers cut by teams after the draft
I am a huge Chargers fan for 30 years but there is absolutely no way. They have arguably the worst offense in the NFL with trash at WR and a RB who scares no one, and they want to go spend draft picks on tackles instead of weapons for Herbert. Their defense has been one of the worst in the league for years. They won't even make the playoffs this year and will win about 4 games if they dont draft some elite playmakers, which they won't.
