haha it's kinda funny that the only two people who knew everything were someone who literally works at a hedge fund and then a subscriber to the channel. It shows the level of knowledge you're able to impart with this channel.
Being a New Yorker, to be fair, most of these folks do not appear to be from NY. Locals don't hang out in Wall St area unless they go there to work (and not in casual clothes). Most sound like tourists, so don't blame them if they have govt pension plan where they come from and don't know about Roth.
So much fun to hear from all these different people - even from other countries and areas of the US! And they were so brave to answer these questions! I hope the ones that didn't know all the answers will follow your channel to learn it all and to get to more financial literacy. And this cute doggy!!! 😍
In addition to that, let's not forget that other countries in the world actually using taxes to benefit their citizens in many aspects, therefore they rely on their government to take care of them later in life.

it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

I was a Business Major in College and the questions he asked are not being taught in school! You would have to learn from someone, be in the Financial field or read up on the topic.

My degrees are in finance. It genuinely makes me realize how much isn’t taught to the average person, and it’s disrespectful. I followed this channel awhile back because the movement interested me (and I was curious to see if true info was being shared). I hope people who are skeptical realize this channel is legit! While I understand the investments side, the FIRE movement isn’t taught either so there’s something for everyone here. Bravo.
Can you imagine how much less control the government and the banking industry would have on people if they required this type of basic financial literacy as a prerequisite to getting a credit card, for example? God forbid they demanded FIRE proficiency in high school or as a certification similar to getting a driver's license! Living below your means??? NO WAY!! I wonder why JP Morgan, Goldman and the Bilderberg types wouldn't want that LOL. Freedom and happiness are not all about money, but money certainly helps!
This was a bit discouraging, as someone who works in NYC I would have hoped we would represent the financial literate better. However out of most of my friends and colleagues only one other person regularly engages with me on finances knowledgeably and I can bring it up in almost any scenario!
Also people may not know they are investing! If you put money in retirement your investing in the stock market.I think majority of people associate investing only to the stockmarket not retirement!
