⚠️WARNING: Since recording and posting this video, I have been made aware of how dangerous and toxic resin is, even with proper PPE. PLEASE do not use resin as it can cause SERIOUS and life long damage, even preventing one from getting life saving medical treatment for unrelated issues.
I am not a doctor, just someone who learned that resin is potentially VERY unsafe, even in the best conditions. Please do your own research to learn more about resin and its properties!
As of 7/24, I will be finding a resin free replacement to make glass eyes like I do in this video! Stay tuned for updates!
Today we cure my anxiety the only way I know how… by making a plushie! (I’m sure this’ll be just as good as therapy lol)
Join me in making the cutest little Anxiety plush you ever did see and taking her out for real life, in person tests to find out for real if a plushie really can help with my anxiety! (And maybe yours too!)

EDIT: I just saw the movie! No spoilers, but I fully cried multiple times both during and after the movie.😭 (the anxiety is SO real. As a former competative athlete myself, there was NO WAY I was holding back those tears.)

Whenever I'm in a bigger city for an appointment I'm walking into a toy store and buy a little treat for myself as a reward. A while ago I bought a tiny little panda plush (they're my favourite animals) and as soon as I had it, it helped me SO much with my anxiety. So yeah, plushies help me a lot with being anxious 🥰

21:12 the fact that I was looking away getting fabric out of a bag when you said you feel like your going to throw up and I said please don’t and looked at the screen and saw it said please don’t (I said it in the first place becouse that’s my fear :3)

That was actually so she’d be squishier! Buuut off camera I realized she wasn’t heavy enough sooooo I replaced the pellets with beans lol! Next time I do something little like this I’ll be getting glass beads instead! They’re way heavier and take up way less space so they can be all squishy!😁💛 (When I get some I may even open anxiety back up and fill her with the glass beads too!)

i also have little anxiety buddies for my walk! the biggest ive ever taken was a build a bear to a college class and everyone thought her outfit was very sweet (we matched). There was a guy who I used to see when I was working in a store who always carried around this big well loved snow leopard plushie and honestly i was so jealous- it looked so huggable!! funnily enough the biggest pro plushie adventure ppl ive run into are scary teens, they think my tiny bat puppet is so fun lol

Ah! That’s so sweet!!! My area is pretty full of non-plushie people/teens. It’s very sport oriented in my experience and not very accepting overall depending on the place you’re at. Sometimes you’ll run into super chill people, but not always.😅 (Side note: it is so silly that I’m so worried what these literal children think when I’m literally 22!😂 One day I’ll get over it but today is not that day!😝) I’d love to run some more tests eventually though! See if I can just challenge myself to take a bigger plushie out with me lol! All that aside, I’m glad you’ve had some great experiences with taking plushies around with you!

Also glad that plushies can help you, I take plushies with me places and the only people who've said something to me about it had positive things to say. Plus it's cool when you can carry around plush you've made! I actually met another plush maker that way.

Awww! Thank you so much! You’re to sweet!!! So far the only other times I’ve taken a plushie out with me was when I had just gotten it in a store or I could pass it off as having just gotten it in a store lol! I did actually just take anxiety out with me (not hidden in a bag) to see inside out 2 yesterday and someone complemented her! I immediately felt like I said too much when I mentioned that I made her and they stopped paying attention to me so hopefully I wasn’t too awkward with that lol.😅

It was really weird lol! I always feel weird about it because I’m worried I sound too much like a salesman or something since this is technically my job lol! So I don’t blame people for not wanting to listen to me talk about stuff I’ve made like that.😅 (I just wish it was more of a “oh cool! And what would you like to drink with your popcorn?” Instead of just straight up ignoring me.🫣)

Just a heads up! Make sure you have a separate dye pot, the dye will stay in the pan and get in your food. I love how Anxiety turned out btw :)

An! Thank you so much!!! I thought it was appropriate for the little emotion in your head to be, well… little!😂 I’m honestly SO glad the dye worked! I’d love to try it again on future projects if I feel like I can take the risk since I have trouble finding the right color of fabric a LOT but right now it’d still be a HUGE risk to throw a yard of fur in a pot and hope for the best!😂 But thank you so so much again! That actually means so much to me!!! I’m always worried my editing will seem too repetitive from one video to the next so I’m glad there seems to be a difference! (and a good one at that!) (And I’m glad you liked the little arms section lol! I was worried it would be too much but it made me laugh when I was editing it so it stayed in!😅)

@@sewmicah Makes complete sense! Hmm, does your fabric supplier not offer samples? might be worth looking into, that way you don't end up wasting fabric, dye & funds (not to mention time!) You're most welcome! I know it can get tricky not to do the same thing over & over but also not making things too different. tbh, that shows more of your humour & personality, so I'm glad you left it in! 💙

Aw! Thank you! I actually get a LOT of my fabric from Etsy shops so whether they offer samples or not varies. Some do for sure but the samples cost a bit still and it doesn’t seem super worth it to get just to test dye. It’d be better for me to use scraps of fabric I already have for small scale tests but the real issue is making sure that translates to the large scale tests! With such little fabric I don’t know if I could be sure that it’d scale properly and I wouldn’t just ruin a ton of fabric because of the scaling. (Not to mention the fact that I’ve never dyed a big bunch of fabric at once before so I’d probably need to test on a BIG piece of fabric to make sure I know how to handle that much fabric in a pot lol!) Honestly, I’m worried I already did something too different looking at this video’s stats a week later!😅 My recent pokemon videos both did pretty well but this one did TERRIBLE in comparison. I’m thinking RU-vid maybe didn’t know who to show this video to because the stats in general aren’t actually bad! It’s just that RU-vid isn’t showing it to people.😅 Let’s just hope this isn’t a trend as I make plushies from other fandoms (and my originals!)🫣

@@sewmicah ah, ok. I get mine from eBay & their samples option's pretty good & cheap, which is handy if I don't know if I'd like a fabric or not but, honestly, that never occurred to me! It makes total sense now that you say it. Dying on that scale could take multiple bottles to achieve the Honestly it's hard to know sometimes but I know you'll get there! I am here whatever you make 💙

I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out on eBay if I ever need new types of fabric! The dye situation is always a tricky one! Maybe one day I’ll have time to mess around with dye more! Right now things are looking REAL wild for the next few months due to some… unexpected life changes lol! (Don’t worry, it’s not an unexpected baby kinda thing lol!) I just may not have time to try new things for a while now lol! And thanks so much again! Sorry, I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that?😅 But sewing techniques are never specific to just one plush or character! You can learn a lot for future projects just by making current projects and trying new techniques! I hope that helped!😅💛

As in the sewing? The resin? The glue? Any crafting technique can be used to make anything! That’s the fun part about making new things! It’s just about if the crafter can decipher and use these techniques in their own new way!😁💛
