Can I create a dragon plushie from a FRUIT!?🔥🐲 

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment! Sorry it took so long for me to reply! I just wanted to make sure I was giving the best and most helpful response I could! I do get comments, questions, and requests like this quite a bit and it’s always super hard to explain why it isn’t really something I can do, at least not right now. But I’ll try my best to explain it here anyway!😁💛 Basically, what it boils down to is: 1. To understand anything I say when explaining my process, one needs to already know the ins and outs of how patterns work, and at that point, they would already be able to make their own. 2. My personal process is based a lot on feel. (This one will be GLARINGLY obvious if I ever show my process since it’s really a lot of scribbling until it feels right lol!) So a beginner wouldn’t be able to easily learn from my process without, again, already kind of knowing how to make patterns. I’m not sure if my inability to teach how to make patterns stems from me not being knowledgeable enough on HOW to teach it or if it’s because it’s something that can’t really be taught (like teaching someone how to find their own art style. It just kinda comes as you draw!) But either way, I don’t think one tutorial on how to make patterns would be possible for me to teach, at least not right now. I definitely can teach and do have other tutorials planned for Patreon but they’ll be more of the building blocks for someone to eventually put together in their own way to make their own unique patterns! Just like teaching someone who wants to draw some basic techniques and tricks and they then go off and create their own art style! Now that I think about it, it’s also sort of like if someone wanted to learn how to do a tuck jump where you jump and bring your knees up to your chest (ex gymnast here lol!) but didn’t know how to jump yet. You just cannot do a tuck jump without jumping first but once you know how to jump, you don’t really need a whole lot of instruction to bring your knees up to your chest, especially if you already know what a tuck jump looks like. So once you know how to jump, aka, the building blocks of a tuck jump, you don’t need to be told how to bring your knees to your chest, just like once you know the building blocks of pattern making, you don’t need someone to tell you how to make a pattern! And for my process specifically, that’s where the art simile comes into play. I just cannot teach something that’s all based on feeling from experience.😅 usually, if something is off about a pattern, I just kinda feel it and adjust it rather than there being a specific way to know when something needs to be adjusted. That’s all because making plushies is an art form! People have their own styles within plushie making and that’s so awesome! But it also means it’s not easy to try and teach someone else to go about making a different pattern using your process. Ah, sorry this was so long winded! I just wanted to make sure it all made sense! In the end, the important thing is: Patterning building blocks are what get you to making your own patterns and that’s what I hope to teach in my tutorials over on my Patreon! I hope this made sense and helps!😅💛

It was… SO MUCH😭 But no! He was actually watching the marvels! (Which then ruined it for me when I finally got to watch it lol.) He’s just up to being the most adhd person I’ve ever met. I’m very fortunate that my partner and them all are kind about my accommodations That’s fair 😭 I just did a sewing machine workshop today so now I’m able to cut my time in half for sewing… once I actually get the hang of it 😅 Idk how long you’ve been working with yours but I have been hand sewing my whole life soo

RIGHT!? He’s gotten better with not outright saying it but I know he’s thinking it still.😅 It’s good that you have good roommates!!! That’s SO important!!! Congratulations! I’m sure once you get the hang of it everything will be SO much smoother! I’ve been using a sewing machine essentially since day one so about 4.5 years? The sewing itself is rarely the problem! It’s usually the computerized embroidery or external environmental factors that make projects harder. Things I don’t have direct control over.😅💛

@@sewmicah Not that anyone’s officially diagnosed but I thoroughly convinced everyone except one in the house is neurodivergent 😂👌 That’s totally fair. I used to try to make plushies when I was like (like 13) so I have been sewing on and off for many years, but machines are a whole new things. Yeah sadly we don’t always have control over our work environment 😵‍💫 Plus embroidery machines are expensive, I won’t act like I know how to use one lool

Haha! Same in my household! I think I’m the only autistic one though. I’m pretty sure everyone else has adhd but only two are officially diagnosed.😂 Luckily I got my embroidery machine as a birthday/graduation present! Otherwise I never would’ve been able to get one! The actual usage of the machine isn’t difficult at all. It’s just the making sure everything lines up properly without wasting a bunch of expensive fabric.😅 But that’s a good long time of sewing! Even if it was on and off! I’ve been doing crafting of some sort for maybe 12-13 years? But those early years were a lot of hot glue and felt!😂 then I moved on to a lot of digital art when I was 15 or so. But before I really started sewing a few years ago I only tried sewing once to make my mom a pillow for Mother’s Day when I was little but unfortunately I had no idea how to thread a needle or sew so it came apart immediately!😂

Ah, that’s so neat! I just got another pack of cards the other day and had my first “OH MY GOODNESS” moment!😂 I freaked out over getting a sprigatito! Not the best card ever or anything but I LOVE sprigatito and involuntarily gasped all the air out of the car I was in at the time!😂 Some true crime stuff isn’t as well presented as others for sure! I typically go back to this one true crime RU-vid Eleanore Neal a lot! I don’t love the true crime documentaries for sure, but Eleanore presents it all very well! It may not be for everyone, but I like listening to her videos while I’m working on plushies a lot! That and Reddit no sleep stories lol! (These plushies didn’t get Mozart in the proverbial womb, they got horror stories and true crime!😂) But you are so very welcome!
