Hope her wrist problems causing her to pull out of mixed doubles don't affect her game I'm hoping that she's just playing it safe and not taking any risks
Don’t know if I would go that far. Technically she was never really here. She came out of nowhere to win the US open them played awful since. Has she won any titles or made any finals since then? Edit: I just looked it up. She has made 1 semi final appearances few few quarter finals since winning the US Open.
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 an amazing accomplished. She is also the first person in the open era to go through qualifying to win. Another amazing accomplishment. None of that has anything to do with what I said.
@@ricklee5845 I know all about that having gone to boarding school in Dorset! Raducanu has already climbed from No. 135 to No. 92 so far this week in the WTA rankings.
Amazing to see Emma play on this level, I hope this shuts everyone up for good. She’s got all the ingredients but it’s a really tough sport. Hope she gets far.
Very similar kind of match to the US Open semi-final. 2 breaks in the first set then an early break in the second before lots of tension for us fans while Emma herself looked as cool as a cucumber. This time she got the second break so not quite as nervy an ending. Draw opening up nicely...
@@notis6107this is Emma during grand slam, she's go back in the form, her served and keep running on the ball,.and strong hit aces, her losses before is maybe their plan win or loss just take care her injury,.not to force her strength coz u can't play anymore if ur injured part is not going well,.and so happy to see Emma like this, this emma during US open,.she's smart
@@i.grazonado08 emma in most slams loses in the 2nd round so no i dont agree. she has a favourable draw here but when she meets a strong opponent she is gonna lose. Also noone ever plan to lose, when u win your confidence is way better, really bad arguement
Please…the player who won the US open during COVID when a chimp could have won is still her…that’s why she hasn’t won anything since…and won’t make it much further than this round here
This is why Emma is a Grand Slam champion. She's fearless when she plays the pressure points. She absolutely goes for it win or lose. If she keeps playing like this, she could end up in the finals. What a talent Emma is. I'm so happy to see her fit and healthy so she can play freely.
This is not a surprise result at all, ANYONE can beat Sakkari at a grand slam match. Seeding is just a number, it doesn’t guarantee anything. Plus, Emma is on an amazing form right now. The next match against Lulu Sun is an interesting one for sure.
@@assassinssubject17 I think the comment was implying that the girl is literally half Romanian, half Chinese. There's not a one percent British in her, she wasn't even born there :D
Sakkari must learn how to return .Its ridiculous that she couldn't return the second serve of Raducanu twice in a row.As for Raducanu every time she beats sakkari she wins the whole tournament so...who knows
31 unforced in 17 games from Maria!! Oh boyyyy.. or should I say: Oh girllll.. Of course that doesn't change the fact that Emma would have won anyway or another no matter Maria's errors. She was incredible!!
If Maria committed less UEs the match would have been more competitive, perhaps it couldve gone to a tiebreaker or some sort… but Emma still would have won anyway.
I think most want Emma to do well again. She is up for fight if she wins the 4th round and then in QF against potentially Badosa and then SF against Coco.
Slam dunk ? Just because she has an insanely easy draw until now it doesnt mean a lot. Yes she is playing way better than her normal level, that she has shown the last 3 years, but still there are at least 10 players in the draw that will destroy her if they meet her. Iga, ostapenko, collins, rybakina, kalinskaya, samsonova , jabeur, paolini, keys, gauff. All of them will destroy her if they meet her. She is just extremely lucky that sabalenka retired since she was on her part of the draw, and also the retirement of alexandrova was extremely helpful. She has beaten a nobody, then mertens and sakkari who are always bad on grand slams
Really an extraordinary appearance from the professional British tennis player. Emma Raducanu absolutely demonstrates a more unflinching, gallant and relentless performance than her toilsome adversaries in Wimbledon. It proves how she missed her aficionados, fans and supporters on home soil, explicitly advancing to the 4th round second time in Wimbledon. Huge congratulations!
Raducanu did not play well she looked exhausted not happy she showed as if she did not want to play but had to..poor thing ..Happy for New Zealand girl she was sooo emotional ..
It was the lob she did it before she won the the US Open and it was incredible then..Now it's better and easier..I really want a Gauff Emma finale plus retribution
@@otherworld11 Sakkari was experiencing the worst timing of the one unpredictable weakness females players don't openly admit (except Zheng Qinwen). Enough said.
Tbh as a neutral seeing all this hate for raducanu online and seeing how shes unaffected and just continues on her own path tells me she has a gd mentality under pressure. It makes me believe she can make derp runs in tournaments as she responds better in pressure points.
I didn't see any hate. It's just that she came out of nowhere winning US Open, she was praised as the next big thing from the media/sponsors and for the next 2 years she couldn't reach round 3 of any GS.
