I feel like Dillingham improved defensively over conference play. Still a lot of problems, but a clear lack of coaching (imo), would just blow defensive rotations and make crazy helps, as he did in the last game. But the desire seems to be there, the quickness is there. In my mind, he can get at least somewhere closer to neutral and is not 100% a lost cause.

I think you may overrate his passing and playmaking, and the grade overall is way too high when he is going to be the worst defender in the NBA. He will be like Trae Young but considerably worse on offense.

funny because all the same things were said about garland, you can’t really make an end-all-be-all claim about his playmaking when he’s sharing touches at the point with two other nba guards, the flashes have been more than enough

I hear this a lot, but it's flatly wrong. His playmaking is very good. Snap decisions, pretty precise spotting on the passes, great lobs. He's going to break down defenses pretty well. And he won't be the worst defender.
