I don't understand getting married and not being fully focused on making the marriage as awesome as possible for the two people in it. It's such a waste of energy for people to play these cruel and dangerous games with each other and others.

The first caller should have led with “I had a kid with my brother in law.” Fixing her marriage is not even the biggest concern here. If you are so easily distracted by other people you are prob not meant to be married.

I agree with you. I feel like John is romanticizing the path to marital reconciliation because he’s seen other couples work through stuff like this, and because there’s a time limit on the call. I hate that the child is the result of such reckless behavior 😢.

I think he tries to show them the path to fixing their marriage when the married couple says that’s what they want. Something tells me he was short and to the point because his blood is boiling and she’s not giving the full story. She sounded like she was holding back the full story.

He does this with 99% of these types of calls, like I kno religious people like to romanticize holding a marriage together no matter what but some things there is no coming back from, imagine your wife is getting smashed like a Thanksgiving turkey by some dude and someone tells you " we'll lets try to fix the marriage" gtf outta here

First caller: the marriage should have been over, there's no coming back. Her husband stayed after that! The family is highly dysfunctional. 2nd caller: better to be safe than sorry, if you think something is wrong, there's nothing wrong with speaking up. Those colleagues are not people you want to hangout with.

I mean he did. But he is not the one who called in and she didn't even give any information about him cheating like she did for hers. It might have been a physical affair, it might have been an emotional affair. But she called in, trickle truthing the whole time and revealing that she had a series of physical affairs, starting with an online emotional affair and including sleeping with her husband's sister's husband and HAVING A CHILD she then has been trying to pass of as her husband's. There is sooooo much going on in that second part that we can't really say more about that than, "he cheated."

2nd caller: you are a blessing to those children. Although the onvestigators did not find any evidence you might have saved them a lot of pain. Often child abuse is less obvious then one would expect. Or you were completely off- so what, you mentioned them treating a child verbally invasive,so somebody had to put a boundary up. Never stop acting according to your heart, soul and guts. We are in this together ❤️

It's very weird. I think it's because a lot of people really like better help despite the stuff that they have done. I wouldn't use it but everyone I know who has used it had a great experience and recommends it to everyone they know and then I hear about more people using it and they like it to. But for me that doesn't discount from the fact that many people I don't know have had horrible experiences.

I wouldn’t trust the first caller not to cheat again. Especially since it still feels good to remember how it felt to cheat, and how ESPECIALLY after she had raw seggs with someone whos a part of the family. I get hubby isn’t innocent either but I have a feeling she used his infidelity as an excuse to justify her desire to go out of her relationship. Two wrongs don’t make a right…I would never try to fix this

The first caller... I like to say there's hope for everyone but she sounds so out of touch with right, wrong, and reality that I highly doubt her compass will ever be correctly calibrated. I pray for that child and any others these people bring into the world because the people these kids are surrounded by are NOT adults. Pray someone who can guide them comes into their lives. Delony - some folks you cannot help.. this person doesn't even know which way is up, priorities are completely out of whack.. total mess. Should not be having children. Yikes!

The fact that the first caller even thought that the resolution was asking Delony on "how to move on" as if she can expect the family to just ignore the child that roams around the family during family gatherings and expect people not to notice. I mean if I were her husband knowing that boy is not mine would be devastating and wouldn't be able to take it. It hits too close to home.

The first caller who slept with her sister's husband and created a baby is just ridiculous. I just don't understand why if people were to cheat, why do they make it so close to home which makes it more hurtful. The sister must be so heartbroken that her own sister violated the sanctity of marriage....for what. I feel sorry for the kid when he grows up to find out how he was born.

It sounds like the sister-in-law recognizes that this is not the first time her husband at that time stepped out of the marriage… we aren’t getting the entire story. For the SIL to keep the secret in the family shows she’s willing to hold back and protect her and the child. She cheated AFTER her husband cheated multiple times … I’m guessing it was in retaliation she cheated… still not good, but how it is. The former bro. -in-law took advantage of a situation… and boom 💥 a child now exists. My former mother-in-law revenge cheated and conceived a child. Her husband at the time and man she cheated with forced her to get an abortion. NO ONE would ever guess this about her past. She moved on from that, got a divorce from her cheating husband and remarried and had no issues like that ever again. I would say, it seems like a hard road ahead for this couple more than most. I wish them the best.

I sensed that this woman, a mom, was feeling deeply the consequences of her actions. I hope for the sake of their kids that they have forgiven each other for their adultery. It does feel difficult to understand how you get passed what happened. I am surprised that there are still invited to attend family gatherings. Their lives is far from over. I hope that they took the time to apologize to the sister in law. I hope they find each other again as a couple. It’s not impossible and as John pointed out, no more lies. Let it out and discuss it … your intimate life needs caring … I pray for you and the sake of that little boy …

they can be healed to a point. But the trust and deep feelings can never be the same. I have had numerous relationships broken over my lifetime. Almost all of them have come back around at some point, some were my fault and some were not. Some I swore that I would never talk to gradually changed to a tolerable and sometimes friendly situation. Some I had to reach out and some reached out to me. Never say never because one day you might decide that it wasn't worth keeping them out of your life forever. People make mistakes, and unless they are a narcissist or a sociopath (which is usually the same thing) you can heal it to a point.

I understand John wants to try to help and to encourage the first caller, and he's right that the best path would be healing for her, but in my opinion if I were the first caller's husband I wouldn't even mind what this woman wants at this point, a child with my ex brother in law, imagine, completely surreal lol there is no going back, what's the point in fixing when the vase is not even broken but it got nuked. I would "cheat" how much I want and I wouldn't even mind.
