How would you portray this "good guy Mimic"? 3:10 - This might be a question more for Danny, but the new Sonic Characterization Discourse is whether or not Sonic should be as nervous/scared as he is in Scrapnik Island. However I feel like Sonic's uneasiness is justified, considering he was in a dark place, with unfamiliar surroundings, rusted out robots who previously tried to kill him, and Mecha, whom Sonic had just tried to reconcile with after he had seemed to turn over a new leaf, is now trying to mindswap with him. I think ANYONE would be scared or nervous in this scenario, but what are your thoughts on it? Is it OK for Sonic to feel fear? 4:55 - In Sonic Unleashed, Sonic is deemed to be the successor of "Lin Shao Kung Fu" by Chun-nan inhabitant Shuifon, and in the Japanese script of Colors, Sonic asks Tails, "Want me to show you how to beat enemies with Kenpo?" This would indicate Sonic is a martial artist in some sense right? Would there be any chance we could see a Sonic story with a martial arts angle to it? As someone who has been training in various styles for over 12 years (including 4 in the fast paced “American Kenpo” style) I think that would be very cool. 7:38 - So.. just for the fun of it.. an interdimensional storm happens, and so, Eggman with the Eggman Empire and Metal Sonic now meet Mr Doctor Eggman, The Chaos council and Rusty Rose. How would this meeting go? What would the eggmen think of each other? Or Metal and Rusty? 9:13 - Super Scourge and Dr. Enerjak Finitevus?! Working together, "to clean the world" like finitevus would say. How doomed is the world? Will Sonic and Knux be on time? How will this story end? Sonic will always be my favorite series, but Final Fantasy has always been a close second. I started at the beginning, but 6 has always been my favorite. I, or Robo Sonic as it’s called in that game. Eggman says it’s his first creation to truly rival Sonic. Wouldn’t that honor go to Metal Sonic, or is it possible that Mecha Sonic Mk. I, and maybe even Mk. II, were built before Metal Sonic and saved for later? It wouldn’t be the first time Eggman saved a Mecha model for later, or for never. Here’s looking at you, Mk. III. 37:58 - Back in pre-reboot Archie the Master Emerald was created from combining 14 Chaos Emeralds, however after the Great Harmony when Feist fused every Chaos Emerald in the galaxy into just seven they remained the same. Shouldn't the gems of each color have been changed into their own individual Master Emeralds as well? 39:06 - So since Sega are once again saying it's one world rather than two, can you introduce human characters into the comic, or at least human elements such as G.U.N? And how would you go about introducing such elements at this point? 40:45 - How would a Miles Adventure go against the Anti Battle Bird Armada? 41:50 - *[Frontiers Spoiler]* I noticed recently that the lyric “Running from the past is a losing game, it never brings you glory // been down this road before, already know the story” is awfully poignant considering the main theme of Frontiers and the current franchise direction seems to be making peace with the past, acknowledging it, and moving forward with it. How intentional was this, or was this just a happy accident? And, are there other lyrics in the game that might hold extra significance when you look deeper? I really appreciate the cohesion in vision, intentional or not, and I very much appreciate the current direction of finally nailing down a canon to move forward with. 43:15 - *[Frontiers Spoiler]* Throughout the [Frontiers] story, Sage remarks that she cannot fully control the Ancients' machines to attack Sonic, only "guide their rage" as it were. However, when Eggman uploads Sage into Cyber Space, a bunch of Soldiers surround Eggman with Giganto staring at him from afar like a cyberpunk Slenderman but neither one attacks Eggman even though it's implied the Knight destroyed the Death Egg Sentinel on Chaos Island. Likewise, after Sage and Sonic become allies on Ouranos Island, the machines continue to attack Sonic as if nothing changed. Finally, there's no explanation given on how the towers on Rhea Island activated. The story gives the impression that The End is the one controlling everything from Cyber Space but Sage was also controlling things from Cyber Space. I think for the situation Sonic was in, he was fully justified in being afraid. I like it, too, because it brings a little more depth to an otherwise static character.

We need to go deeper and dumber. New question! Metal Sonic & Buridan's Ass Metal Sonic is programmed to prioritize killing Sonic over anything else. So if Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic were standing the same distance to Metal, to the very millimeter, would he be able to pick the target or would he freeze in place?

Maybe giving player a choice between grinding sonic stages to S ranks (which are about the same difficulty as 1-2 from frontiers) and playing side characters would be a good choice.

[[Frontiers Spoilers!!]] I really love Sage's character and personality. I love that she's essentially Eggman's daughter and how he takes extreme pride in one of his own creations to the point of viewing them as his children. I also love how he shows genuine love for all the wrong reasons. So now I've got to ask. Disregarding any canonicity or version of Eggman, what would Sage think of the other creations of Eggman from across all of Sonic media (such as Omega, Gemerl, Heavy King, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Bokkun, Steve Eggman, Mombot, etc...) or even biological family members like Snively? I love how Sage already views creations like Orbot and Cubot as her brothers and would love to see how she would view the other badniks as well.

Ian, please play Final Fantasy IX. You will not regret it. The best game in the entire franchise. Gorgeous art style, phenomenal story, memorable characters, exquisite music, and fulfilling mini games make it among the best games of all time.

Was it only parents complaining about the dark storyline of SA2 back in the day? Child me playing it when it came out ate that shit up. I adored every aspect of that game, didn't think twice about it. When I played Heroes next it was like whiplash for me regarding plot. Not necessarily the tone but I guess that there was just so little going on comparatively.

Sage said she summoned the Chaos Emeralds to the Starfall Islands, but Sonic and crew were tracking the emeralds to the islands before Eggman connected her to cyberspace. Is it just a timey wimey thing?

If anyone was wondering, I asked Jen about her replaying FF8 on a recent Bumblekast Live and she said the second time was for Steam Achievements and she got 29 of them before calling it quits. She seemed really amused by the question!
