Are those BB gun titans? Why are the titans not doing any real damage? They should be clearing city block sized areas with every shot.

Remember a chapter of marines 1000 men can take down a planet.

I mean...truth be told...Space Marine armor would be impervious to any number of zombies. And just one mech could just stomp them all on its own.

I can’t name an exact time in the lore but I’m dead certain a space marine chapter has cannonicallly fought a planet of zombies before

For some reason the titans are panicking and unable to bring to bear the firepower that would have easily won the battle.

Well yeah - you have like 4 companies, a titan legion, and a regiment of imperial guard. Everyone knows that the imperial guard would be the outer line, there would be tanks up front, and then like 100 space marines with some heavy equipment in there.

Truth is the zombie amount was a bit overwhelming. The space marines have Armor yes, but if anyone played dawn of War would see that a sizable group of marines lost to orcs. Yet ravens defeated chaos forces with just 3. So really it's anybodys game.

With all that fire going over the heads of the front line, why isn't the middle and back line of zombies taking any damage?

Not a single space marine should fall. There should be no deaths due to ''friendly fire" considering all space marines have friend / foe targeting. The battle is an exercise in rotation. The outer line should just slaughter until they feel fatigued and then rotate with the inner line. A rough estimate of the surface area of the outermost square is 60 space marines wide by 60 space marines long. Each line of the square is a wall of space marines 10 deep. That means each wall is 600 space marines. That totals 2400 SM in the outer cordon. Each wall faces 1 million zombies. That means each position of the front line faces a potential 16 666 zombies. Rotating through the line of 10 space marines when they become fatigued by endless slaughter of soft, unarmored flesh, each Marine would be required to vanguish 1666 zombies. Assume even with their incredible stamina they can only slaughter 100 per hour and then need to rotate out. After 10 hours, they marines are back in their starting position to continue the fight. Out of 1 000 000, 940 000 zombies remain on each side of the cordon. Roughly 3 days later the battle is over and the marines are half buried in body parts. Should not be 1 casualty

This is silly. Zombies would be utterly incapable of harming a space marine. It would be like asking a toddler to punch holes in a ww2 russian t34 tank. Implausible to the point of absurdity.
