Why is this not a thing? Elderly people are lonely, and small children need looking after when their busy parents are working. As far as I can tell it's a win win.

If only this could go on... clearly the elders are so happy with the kids. 🥺

This should be a permanent program for all the elderly people around the world. :) I would love to volunteer to make anyone happy.

As an asian origin, Me and my siblings grew up with our grandma, I can say that now as adults, we became very close to the elderly people.. the reason now is clear because we grew up with granny.. then on the other hand, my grandma is 100% stronger and no fatigue when she’s with our baby relatives ..

It breaks my heart that this could not continue as a weekly activity. And be implemented around the world.

let's look after our elders - we'll be one eventually.

Absolutely support this for our elderly! western culture discards its own parents and grandparents as if they did nothing to enhance society. These wonderful little pooh-poohs awaken the FIRE within our elderly to want to enjoy the rest of their lives which the deserve. These gorgeous kids are also enhanced in empathy for others...and eventually their own parents and grandparents when they reach this age.

I’m thinking, no wonder these elderly are so happy, because these innocent young children just express their true feelings of joy & happiness with no prejudice!! And their positive energy is lovingly received by all their elderly partners! Of course everyone is showing signs of improved health, worth, & happiness!! What a fantastic series - better than most of the movies I’ve ever seen!! Probably because we can all relate to what it’s like to be sad, lonely, & depressed, regardless of our age! Everyone needs contact with happy people!!!

I am so excited to hear of the success of this programme. What do we need to do to get it up and running across the country? I'm in!

I’ve been saying for years this should be a thing. When i was 2 and my great grand mother was 76, she became my babysitter/best friend for the next 17 yrs. Now, at age 48, I think of her everyday and now I am a caregiver for the elderly. They’ve all touched my heart and gave my life reason.

I think we need a large network of independent Golden Girls shared living homes. They have done this successfully. Children bring the joy! 💓

I would've loved to be in a program like this as a kid honestly. I only had one grandparent growing up (I came from a single parent family so didn't know my father's side and my mother's father died when she was 21). My Nanna is an extremely difficult person who was always pretty abusive and impossible to be close to. So, as a kid and teenager I used seek out psuedo grandparents to replace her. Either elderly neighbours or older women I met on the bus. A lot of them are now family friends who we've known for years. One of them who I lost contact with (we moved away from the area) I spent pretty much the whole of primary school getting to know. And I plan on tracking her down when I go to the area again.

They are all awesome :") this series won't work well if the kids are not emphatic and the elders are not patient enough, which I initially thought what it would be if a little kid and an elder were in a room. Faith in humanity is restored, and I hope this program will be well-spread around the world!

I wish after I graduated in college, I hope to donate and be a part of this program. It's every heart warming to see the elders smile and laugh a long with friends and the children

As a Pacific Islander, I was in Sydney for a medical procedure a couple of years ago. When asked what I missed most whilst there I said the sight and sound of little people. I honestly asked my carers if Sydney had children as I hardly saw any. They were obviously very confused by my question and I could not explain above the fact that I had not seen any children since arriving. When you are constantly surrounded by small hands touching you, asking you questions, wanting to be picked up and held, needing your help and helping in return - the peace and quiet you yearn for is nothing but a lonely silence when you do finally get it.

I'm being thankful now, that my culture is like we always lives with our parents till they gets old. I cant see them lonely and alone.but this is genuinely a lovely show, looking to those elder people interact and looks happy with the children

I absolutely love this approach to wellbeing outcomes, I can see just how precious this experiment is and as an Early Childhood teacher just what it can bring to both generations. my only subtle though, is how the frail aged and children will cope when things change, or the levels of decline when the older generation do go into care... hope they can keep there bonds

Big culture shock for me , in my country when grandparents are no longer able to do chores by themselves they move in with us and our parents and we take care of them until they die or just go everyday and spend the day with them until they sleep omg i feel so bad :/

If activities were organised for these people aside from bringing kids in for a tv show, maybe they’d actually have things to look forward to and wouldn’t be so depressed ?

Remember this is a hugely supervised situation with adults that are running everything behind the scenes, to do this in real life would probably cost a hundred grand minimum per old person per year.......It's not like you can just drop off a 4 year old with someone in their 80s or 90s and expect magic to happen.
