Even i had some problems understanding how to get the nut from the white moving "tower" at the beginning 😂. Didn't think they could move to a hole and drop the nut there at first 😁

I once had a bird feeder that looked like a little house. In order to fill it with seeds, the chimney had to be unscrewed and the roof had to be removed. One day I came home from work to find the roof on the ground. Very puzzling, until I saw a little squirrel pop his head up from inside the feeder. So cute and funny! He had actually figured out how to take off the top off the feeder and jumped right in…a pretty complex set of skills.

As a librarian, I love the fact that a) you have a squirrel named after a library classification scheme and b) it was library squirrel who solved it straight away and demonstrated it to the other squirrel 😎. Interesting video, thanks for sharing.

I suspect if they’d had enough time they would have recovered all the nuts from the puzzle too, although I’d be surprised if part of their solution wouldn’t have involved chewing through the bits obscuring the food 😂 Squirrels are smart, inquisitive & very determined - especially where tasty treats are concerned!

I love it! I have the same puzzle for my 2 cats. One of my cats is very proficient with the puzzle, the other one isn’t quite as successful. I’d love to see Kiara use the puzzle. I’ll put the puzzle out for a few days then put it away for while before offering it again. That way the puzzle has remained fresh for over a year.

Oh yes, lets see Kiara try the puzzle.. This so fun to watch!!! I felt bad, because some little guys, had another squirrel 🐿️ waiting on deck, so to speak, stressing them a bit.. I 🤔 think most would have done well, without that distraction of being "jumped" by the next contestant !!!!

Hello Everyone! I have four fur-babies and I they know how to get the treats in the bouncy wobbles where you put treats and they bat it around until one falls out. I don't think my cats would figure out the turning wheel and just leave it. Yes! Please show us how your cat, Kiara did!

I've been feeding 3 young squirrels that were born last year, they aren't quite confident enough to get this close to me, I can about within 6' of them, I'm really hoping this year they'll trust me enough to take food from me. I've never thought of trying puzzles though. Great channel by the way.

It’s funny because I believe it was manny who kept coming up and leaving empty handed but than coming back like, “how in the heck does Huet keep coming down with nuts but I can’t figure this out” finally he came back and got one. I was so happy for him!

much easier for squirrels than for cats: the squirrels have tiny prehensile hands that can manipulate the little parts of the puzzle plus they worked in tandem. I know my cat wouldn’t stand a chance to open even one door 🥇🥜🐿️🏆🐈😿

Squirrels are clever. We had a jar of peanuts on the picnic table when we were camping. I kept reminding the kids to close the jar. We came back from a walk and caught a squirrel unscrewing the lid and helping himself.

One thing I have noticed by giving my rats puzzles like these and other kinds is that the higher the number of rats working on it at the same time, the quicker it gets solved. Because rats watch what other rats are doing and what works or not, so they don't all have to try every single way to solve it before finding the solution. And when one rat finds the solution, all the rats seeing it will immediately switch to that strategy! I wonder if the squirrels too would solve it quicker if cooperating, or at least having a good, close view of one another's attempts? Rats are really smart, and therefore they can easily get bored and I try to keep giving them new things to figure out. Sadly they often seem to solve things easier than I find or come up with things for them to solve. 😅
