I make these a lot! You can easily change them up: For the holidays, I'll use Italian Amaretti cookies in the crust. Or sub half of the cream cheese with peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella, or Biscoff Spread. Another good combo is crispy ginger snaps in the crust and adding a few tbsp diced candied lemon peel to the center. There's really no wrong way to do it as long as the consistencies are the same.
Gosh.. I can't wait to make this... A well demonstrated dessert. It looks delicious and easily available ingredients with no baking, so what's not to like 😊. Someone commented " why this trend for No Bakes lately". I will tell you why... 1) No use of gas or electricity on the hob or in the oven. (chocolate can be melted in 30 second bursts in a microwave) 2) can be made well ahead of requirement (2 or 3 days) as keeps well in the fridge. 3) suitable for an easy summer dessert when away on holiday in a caravan/mobile home or hilday kitchenett where you have minimum cookinging space or a portable 2 stand hob. Not even close. Nanaimo bars base is chocolate and coconut. Middle layer is custard, not cream cheese. The topping is chocolate. The only similarity between the two is chocolate.
I didn’t have biscuits, cocoa and only striped Hershey’s kisses. I improvised my way and it was spectacular. I used ground up honey bunches of oats and used Swiss cocoa mix.

Hi Carmen! I've never tried using tofu in a cheesecake before, so I can't guarantee it'll work in this recipe. I think it might work if the tofu firms up in the fridge, but I'm not sure how it'll taste.
It should work you might need to add a little agar agar and something else that would give it a more cheese cake taste maybe a pinch of lemon and more sugar but it could work I have seen tofu cheese cake recipes before and vegan ones so you can use vegan butter and vegan cream cheese or tofu and agar agar.
I made this yesterday and it is so delicious! I followed the instructions exactly weighing the ingredients as I go. I used artificial sugar which I wasn’t sure how it might form, but you wouldn’t know it by look or taste. It is such a special delight. Not too sweet. I used Maria cookies for the biscuit cookies. It’s almost Keto which I was going for. I made it in the evening so the 4 hour refrigeration was overnight. I used a parchment lined brownie pan. I buttered the pan so easy in and out. Pulling the parchment paper off was no problem. Honestly it is very easy to make. This is a dessert I’ll be keeping! Thank you!
