As a Swede, I want to emphasize that most Swedes are genuinely kind, warm and good-hearted people. While they may come across as cold, they are simply a bit shy and reserved.🙂
Well, a lot of turist also do a lot of shitty things and don't try to understand swedish culture and can end up being a bit entitled. A lot of foreign don't understand the freedom of roam rule in sweden and think its a right/privilege but its actually a obligation/duty. And if you don't do your obligations according to the rules you have lost your rights and you can be fined or have to leave because you are not doing your dutys. When this reality hits a lot of foreigners that exploits freedom to raom without understaning it - they (the wrongdoers/foreigners) ends up with an false victimhood perspective. And in these cases... well the anger from the Swedes are understandable...
He knows that but he wouldn´t all the naive Swedes coming here and increasing his interaction if he would´ve gone with the truth. As a Swede I´m saddened that most of us fall for media trickery time and time again.
Suspected as much. I see no reason for anyone to burn someone's van down out in the middle of nowhere. But I understand them feeling cautious when they didn't know what happened.
@@TravelTalesVlogsIf you google "Larm om husbil som brinner vid sjön Svarten" you will find a tweet from the newspaper Hallands Nyheter about it (in Swedish) and an image of the burning camper van. Seems to have happened April 29th 2024.
@@Mortac Foreign media likes to write about the recent gang related issues in Sweden (which is a serious issue, and needs to be resolved), this paints the picture of Sweden as a whole essentially being in flames, which isn't true. To put it into perspective, I don't judge California for the shootings and crimes happening in Detroit.
I am a 76 y.o. swede and as I remember I have NEVER seen a snake. Maybe becuase they are not dangerous in Sweden so I have never lookd for them ? If You come from a place where there are dangerous snakes then You may look for them like no swede does ? ..."he who seeks shall find " (Bible quote)
@@staffanlundberg JA kanske det var därför jag såg en förra året. Inte för att jag är rädd för dom men för att jag gärna ville se en minst en gång i mitt liv. Gud hjälpte mig nog uppfylla den lilla drömmen. BLESS ❤
Only three types of snakes in Sweden. You have the Snok (Grass Snake) which is very common (featured in your videos) and is not venomous and it prefers to hang out close to water sources, usually dark with with white spots behind the head, secondly you have Hasselsnok (Smooth Snake) also not venomous and less common than regular Snok, Hasselsnok is greyish brown with dark spots . Lastly you have the Huggorm (European adder) which is venomous but only dangerous to humans if you happen to be allergic to their venom. They have a striking zig-zag pattern going all along it's back.
@@TravelTalesVlogs If you are close enough to see the eyes, the snake's eyes are round and the viper's ( Adders) eyes are diamond-shaped like cat eyes.
If you pass Falkenberg again, don't miss the Fish and Chips bus located at the end of Skrea strand (Skrea beach). They will be there until 19th of August.
Another great vlog; love to see lakes reflecting the surroundings, they look magical. Glad you had great customer service when you had work done on Tandy. Can understand your headache every time something is wrong and needs fixing so that was such a relieve. Take care guys ❤
The man that owned it had turned on the heater and went to take his dog for a walk. He came back to a raging fire. It was too late to save when the fire crew showed up.
Haha you are a funny couple, do not freak out for a little burned down caravan, fire accidents happens everywhere, maybe problem with the gas or electrical fire. Also wanna add that I love your videos 🙂
Thank you !! 😊 It's a bit weird just a bad vibe really, unfortunately accidents like this do happen you're right :// in fact we try to bring Holly with us everywhere 99% of the time because of this.
@@TravelTalesVlogs I feel with you, also travelling in an unknown land can maybe be difficult and scary in moments like that, I rarely see such things since a travel mostly to bigger cities and hotels but your way to travel is very inspiring.
there are definitely snakes in some parts of Sweden, in Hälsingland where I grew up, I encountered plenty of European viper (Huggorm) - I have stepped on one and driven over one with my bike on accident, and seen them in the forest and around lakes etc. It is not like they are very dangerous, but if it is a warm day, they will come out on the roads and trail, and you should be a bit careful.
I found half of a news story about the bunt down van, I couldn't read the whole thing as am not a subscriber but no-one was hurt, and it said that the owner turned on the heat in the van, (didn't say what kind), and went for a dog walk.
Hey C2H! I'm back from my travels around Dorset with my buddy - so I've been catching up on SM etc. Another great VLOG showing us around Snakeland .... sorry, Sweden & I've had a chance to see other people's comments, so I know the reason for the van fire, but I can see why it 'spooked' you a bit - it would have spooked me too. (For a horrible moment, because of the VLOG title, I thought it was Tandy) :( .... Phew! Thanks for taking us around the fantastic landscapes & showing what amazing Customer Service you received. *Love the drone shots as always! Drive safe, stay safe & look out for snakes & I look forward to the next one. N1S Kev x
if you ever travel by vättern or jönköping, i recommend going to huskvarna vätternstrand or piren in the town of jönköping. theres also a very nice view up in the atollen garage, of the big lake a green surrounding hills, really cool
Well, many Swedes are of the stubborn and quiet kind but still want to help out if they could.I guess the Viking blood are still rushing through our body. Take care.❤️👍
17:43... What happened yesterday and why didn't you feel welcome in the area? Did i miss something? And you are right, Vinslövs Fritidscenter is awesome, my parents have bought all their caravans they had trough all the years from them.
Hey that place was amazing, honestly the service from both of them was exceptional! We had a bit of an issue, but didn't put it in the video. But don't worry all is good we are fine and ready to continue exploring Sweden
Sudgestion: Travel up north and then go to Norway and the City Bodö and take the ferry to Lofoten. If not this year, then maybe in the future :-). Bodö-Lofoten-Narvik-Kiruna, maybe go to Haparanda and then into Finland. Or Kiruna-Luleå and just E-4 down south again.
@@TravelTalesVlogsall nature reserves and some other areas are banned to fly drones as well, and now russian spies are flying drones in sweden making authorities to enforce it more
If you are in the area (west coast) going north you are more than welcome to stop by the lake I live by, Gravlången. Here you can park for the night with amazing surroundings and I can take you out to pick chanterelles if you want to! //Anna 😊
I don’t get it, first you get the best service and then you don’t feel welcomed in that part of Sweden? Did I miss something here. It can’t be a car fire, dose happens everywhere so what made you feel scared?
@@TravelTalesVlogs well I don’t know what to say. Some people just had enough of getting things stolen and try to protect them self. You just happen to fit the profile for what the government told people to watch out for. Foreign license caravans and trucks, flying a drone and to that being on the wrong place at the wrong time. This is not a common behavior as far as I know but some people just take things too far. And recently there have been a lot of new rules and laws about flying drones and also filming with them. you need a special license and in some places permission (military and NATO requirements). People don’t care about this to 99% but burglars has been using drones to spot out machinery and equipment on farms and even boat engines at lakes so people are on the edge in the summertime. Just know it was bad luck and not like Swedes are hostile.
And it also depends how you interact with people. If you got a cockey attitude well then you really got to know it... (Sket i det blå skåpet) Some people (turists) think they own the country and everybody is their servants and that will get a real payback...
I have a French reg van, Do you have problems with damp on your windscreen which makes the Insurance and CT paper damp/wet? I no longer have them in the windscreen now because all insurance is now online in France and as of the 1st April 2024 you do not have to put them in your windscreen plus the CT was never a legal requirement just advisable so there is now no need to have anything on the windscreen in France.
Enjoyed the vlog after the headline; I thought something happened to,you two. Bummer for the person whose van burned down, must be horrible for something like thst to happen and your reaction is quite understandable. On another tack, loved the aerial stuff. Sweden is very photogenic from the air.
Yeah I think we were unlucky or lucky however you look at it, in these two weeks we saw so many snakes but not again after that. Maybe the area or maybe just the heat ! The service at those two places were amazing ❤️

Actually, the best Pizzas are found in Gotland (Island). You have to go there sometime. It is an old medieval place. Besides the northern areas in Sweden, this is the one to go to (I used to live there).
@@holoholopainen1627 I live in the countryside so at least i pick all berries myself, i hunt, i pick chanterelles, i walk with my dog. I cut timber in my own forests

Yeah generally speaking they should normally be around 25 mins but some where we are not travelling a lot will be less. Same goes for Norway videos !! ❤
I've been all over the length and breadth of both Sweden and Norway and I'm sorry to say that from watching your videos, it seems that a motorhome is the worst possible way to see Sweden. I always suspected it from seeing the poor sods sitting outside their vehicles in a car park in the worst part of my small town, but I'm now getting some confirmation. Parked up under wind turbines? And a lay-by?
Yeah the motorhome has its positives and negatives for sure but we love it ❤️ When we used to rent a car during our travels we used to see much more but prefer the van so much to have everything with us and wake up in beautiful places (sometimes 😀)
My first thought was that it must have been an accident. My second thought was that maybe someone had overstayed and/or had been so rude and irritating to the land owner that he went down and "helped" the guy get off his property. My third thought was that it was probably just an accident. 😊
Possibly or they cleared the engine. Not sure but some people have commented about the story... not sure if it specified motorhome or caravan but either way scary for the owner to see !

We are very effective in Sweden and we dont like things that doesnt work properly🕺🏼thats why they fix it so fast… Go to the store Biltema and buy a hose you need for the waterfilling problem, dirtchep store.
