Hey Cog Squad! It's Jason here at Cog Hill Farm, and today is a big day-it's groundbreaking day! We're kicking off our fence project and setting up the posts right at the front of the property, near Brooke's mom's house. Our goal? To get the beautiful wrought iron double gate hung and start building out the entrance to our garden.
From running string lines and setting posts, to talking about how we'll manage access for the propane tank, there's a lot to do! We’ve got a New Dawn Rose ready to grow along the fence, and we’ll add a few small trees and perennials to make the space low maintenance and beautiful.
Stick around as we tackle the technical part of getting the gate just right-it's a job that’s easier said than done! Plus, I’ll show you an awesome tool that makes leveling posts a breeze, and we’ll chat about fence-building tips I’ve picked up along the way.
We also dive into some fun updates on our garden, our sun hemp cover crops, and even a little sneak peek at how the Fall and Winter Garden is shaping up. And of course, we can't forget our animals-Peaches sent over some feathered supervisors to keep an eye on the progress!
