This is missing at least one scene: after Ronald and Cindy have a falling out at a party, and Cindy exposes the ruse that they weren't really dating but were only pretending (paid for with Ronald's $1000 compensation to Cindy that he was initially going to use to buy that telescope with) to get Ronald accepted by the "in" crowd, Ronald is ostracized and is made even lower than he was before the ruse, as now not only is he back to being a nerd, but even the other nerds ignore him for leaving them high and dry. Chuckie sees Cindy at the mall trying on makeup, and walks up to her and scolds her for what she did to his older brother. Cindy tells Chuckie to leave her alone or she will start putting makeup on his face - he at first refuses, but when she starts to do it, he concedes and leaves......
@@dperl5640 haha that’s pretty funny. I quoted that line as a kid (born in 82) but I actually thought it was from that movie ‘Red Sonja’ with Arnold S. I thought the little Asian warrior kid had said it lol. So I misremembered it somehow and was searching for it like a year ago but couldn’t find it. Then randomly watching ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ one day a few months ago and saw it. Mystery solved lol
Didn't realize how much of a disrespectful little shit he was until I grew up. That was the one and only time Chuck's parents told him to shut up thru our the movie. He sure had that coming and then some.
@1:07 that look he gives his brother mirrors classic Oz from Buffy. But, yeah, other than that ONE moment, I never realized until now that the actor was Seth Green (& since it was a girlfriends favorite movie at the time, i've seen that movie a dozen times before I watched Buffy)
