My dad last wish was to sing this song to mom while he was dying in bed in the hospital. I played it in the guitar while dad was singing it to mom, after the song he kissed mom them passed away

This song hits way differently after seeing the new movie. The way they used the melody of this song throughout the scenes of him with Priscilla was brilliant and made the ending scenes of their separation much more of a painful watch.

My mom loved him so much that i was born on his birthday, he unfortunately passed on my Nanas. Mom always was so proud that at a concert she was in the aisle seat and as he walked down to the stage, he touched her shoulder. That moment was one of her bragging rights. Then one day, i came in the house and my momma was sitting on the floor, a total, absolute sobbing mess. Elvis had passed. And ill be honest, ive probably seen mom cry 4x in my life, his death was one, and her and i making peace on her deathbed was another. Thankful to be here to take care of her, Miss you momma, hopefully you were able to see him in all ya'lls glory- Have fun and save some for me
