Pls make a video explaining how to disengage your neck muscles while doing core exercises. Everything I have seen just hasn’t worked and every time I do crunches and other exercises it really kills my beck no matter how much i try to disengage those muscles
I was expecting this to be one of the “if you can’t do a pull up you are a loser” shorts, but I am very pleasantly surprised. You have such a great attitude, and have inspired me to try to do pull ups.
9 months ago this video inspired me seriously start learning how to do pull-ups. 9 months on, I can do 7 cleans ones! Long way to go but feels amazing to reach here. Thank you man! ❤
hello I noticed this comment is a bit old. also your comment has inspired me too, to take some action and keep training. How are you going on your journey now?.
@@MrEXtAc3 Please don't let that discourage you, keep at it and you will do it. I believe in you, I've also started my journey towards doing a pull up, you're not alone.
@@_IcyCube_ hi thank you, i kept practicing and can do 3-4now but it hurts like hell due to a shoulder injury i have, im trying to figure out how to fix it.
That's the point :) Why feel ashamed. Let him do one finger weighted pullups. Other people's abilities should have azeeeero influence on your self-worth
As someone who has all of her strength in her legs and absolute noodle arms that will definitely be the cause of my demise one day…. THANK YOU FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND LOVE❤
My dude, you are the face of wholesome masculinity and I absolutely love it. You also make me feel like I can bounce back from injury and get strong again, which really helps on the more painful & dubious days. I'm super grateful to have found your videos, I hope you keep making them and being all of our friend. Thanks for being awesome!
Amen. Ive only been watching him for a month and hes already undone so much of the damage done by the crappy P.E. Teachers i grew up with. he makes me actually WANT to exercise unlike school which made me feel weak even though theybwere just bad teachers
I love your videos! They always give off such great vibes and show that exercise is possible from whatever level you may be starting at! They’re inspiring! 🙂
I'm physically disabled, my neurological problems mean I likely will never be able to do something like pull ups or even walk normally in day to day life but watching you is so nice and peaceful and reminds me to keep doing what I can.
I have had a problem with my right hand since birth that can be improved but there are no free doctors to give me therapy. I think it will remain like this due to the incompetence of the medical system.
Sometimes conditioning what we can helps us work around our weaknesses. Maybe you can't do a pull up, but a pull in, sliding something heavy on the table. Maintain independence and reduce pain by strengthening what you can
Love these videos. I used push up variations to dramatically increase my push up count. I'm hoping to do the same with pull ups, I just never knew how to progress. Thanks for your awesome videos, Hampton!
@@muzikveoyun37 well i'm fucking trying but variations don't engage my muscles and i can't do proper form pushups other than 1-3. i do lateral dumbbell raises for them as well
I've been a fitness trainer for 25 years and you are the one online person I love listening to the most. Firstly, your voice is very soothing; secondly, your words are supportive and encouraging; thirdly, your logic is quasi full proof. Kudos.
After many assisted pull ups, I finally did it :D (May, 2023) Now I can do 6 or 7(and before judging, I'm 95kg and my arms are looking at me begging for mercy :))
I like how you encourage “using assistance from your legs”. I know I feel it’s “cheaty” to use limbs that aren’t part of the exercise, but really you need that extra help while the rest of your body gets strong enough to do the rep on its own. Such a good message
I actually never did any pull up progressions funnily enough it was just one day A few years ago I couldn’t do it, I decided I wanted to, some years pass after training some other stuff (including core) since I couldn’t do pull ups at the time and Then one day I just went for it… and I got it🤣
This dude is literally so good. One of the few fitness influencers that I like becasue he is showing progress and positive mind supporting. Because some other fitness influencers say stuff like "If you can't do a pull up, you are a weak little bitch" Thankyou man ❤
like the wall push push an the other help with lower back good exercises a lot you been helping a positive thinking person eat healthy exercise a lot 63 terry a positive wonderful day
Out of all the people i.see on RU-vid helping you learn pull-ups, pushups or anything like that you are the nicest one you spread so much positivity like 'Its okay if you can't, don't be embarrassed' and you always smile at the camera it just shows so much kindness
Thanks a lot! This is especially useful because, in some countries, everybody is just expected to be able to do pull-ups as a kid in kindergarten. This way, my muscles were damaged due to the teacher's excessive demands, and I could never do pull-ups again. Maybe I should retry. Or maybe not, because nobody demands this from me anymore.
I'm going to refrain from stating my opinion on why it's easy to perceive him that way, but mainly he's just using a technique to his vocal delivery/influx similarly to how a customer service agent or healthcare worker does. There is also a chill yet slightly upbeat tempo playing in the background which also aids in that effect.
You probably won’t see this but I remember seeing (at least the original) back in 2020-21 as my first video from you and I could barely hang from the bar for long. But after watching a couple of your vids and a while going to the gym in my school with my friends not only can I do pull-ups with ease now but I’ve managed to even do muscle ups now (3 in a row on a good day being my limit). I just wanted to say thank you because after this and many other exercises I’ve lost a lot of weight and built ok muscles mainly upper chest and seeing veins pop out of my arms for the first time ever. Now I have never felt as confident in my life as I have now so thank you again as I keep going I’ll remember seeing u in my feed and giving me the start I needed hopefully it’ll pop up again in the future so I can see the progress I’ve made
I can’t do pull-ups or push-ups or really anything intensive involving my arms because I’ve got a ligament that snaps and it’s really painful 😅 I’m so sad
BROOO i just did my first pullups I did 3 today for the first time And yea i did rows the best exercise if u cant do a pullup even after u can u shouldn't stop doing it
lmao i dont have any tools nor any pull up nothing i can hold on the only thing i can hold on is my door frame and i cant even pull 1 cm up lol im so fucking dead
I don’t understand these types of videos! I’m not hating, I really think you’re a great person, but wouldn’t just going to the gym and working out with weights and progressively overloading be much better, faster and easier?
