Hi Fred ,I'm a career wrench 44 yrs and the bushings you ended up with after cutting them down look just like the radius arm bushings on a 73-79 F150 front end. Same male/female fit through a holed bracket.Best part is they certainly are available in urethane. Google up a pic of them. The viewers should know that the rubber cap you replaced on the track rod bolt on the axle is very important for safety sake. It prevents that stud from puncturing the gas tank and exploding in rear end collision. I got the same brand Boutright torque wrench as you.😄. Good workmanship. Love your video and your Lincoln.

Thanks Rich! I remember the old 92 Exploder being a scaled down version with the twin I-beam suspension, and you are right. Never too old to learn 😁! Didn't know that about the rubber cap...

Fun to watch... Yes, you can even machine down poly bushings or have bronze ones made if you're really stuck. That body bushing did need to be rubber, especially with the air suspension. That naked top does look good... Your too, but no Lincoln logos on there 👍 PS If you do go engine hunting, do talk to Kaase first. But if you can find a 460 out of the 1968½ Mark III, it is the only one blueprinted and balanced from the Ford factory. Be sure it puts out more than the rated HP and has tons of low end. You can always put on Kaase SR1* heads and upper stuff at a later time but keep the bottom end. Do not use a 72 (bad heads) The only thing to watch on the early 460's is an add on steel plate behind the water pump... Don't lose or remove it...You'll get oil/antifreeze mixed. Cheers 🍻 Ps * maybe they are SR71... ? Named after the plane, he does that.
