I'm replacing my driver side mirror on my 1979 Lincoln Continental. The fully loaded version of the '79 Lincoln Continental came with a temperature gauge built into the driver side mirror, which would give you the outside temperature. I'm upgrading my Lincoln from a stock mirror to a "WOW" mirror. It just looks cool!

Check out this ebay store for hard to find Lincoln parts, and it's where I scored the temperature gauge mirror I installed here.

That’s an amazing upgrade!! I love this car and I think this Lincoln alone would have made Donnie Brasco think twice about the Coupe de Ville!

Great to see you again. The beard is a very good look for you! Not only was I able to drool all over "Claudine," but also...I appreciate seeing a CASSETTE DECK, a CD player and a receiver in your shop stereo outfit. I just let go my last receiver to a family member who wanted it and REALLY uses the heck out of it. I STILL play my raggedy, old tapes through my mid-'90s Nakamichi cassette deck. It's hooked into this computer's mic inputs. And yes...I just put a new(?) DVD drive into this computer so I can play my raggedy, old CDs. DVD-ROM drives don't last, but at least they're cheap. I imagine you can probably defray some of the costs for that new mirror by selling your old one. Those things are very thin on the ground. Hope you enjoy the view through your new mirror! Listen to some tunes through Claudine's stereo for me, too. Aloha!

Can't believe you dropped the N-word on me! Nakamichi was my holy grail when I was stationed in Japan! Unfortunately the Yen rate was almost 100 to the dollar, so no bargains on a Marine's salary 😕. Oh the selection though! Speaking of tapes, I've had to repair a few to enjoy them. I appreciate you hanging with me!

@@SkaggsGarage It's a pleasure to hang with you! I'm a retired Air Force guy, and I recall how dearly a Nak used to cost. Mine is a DR-3 from 1996...that still works. But all of us wanted the Nakamichi Dragon, didn't we?🤣 Even my 2-head cassette ran and sounded better than my 3-headed Pioneer and Teac decks. They broke after a while, but this old thing still works. I've replaced all the belts 3 times in the last...OMG...has it been 28 years already? Before retiring some of my most precious mix tapes, it was fun to at least make playlists for my computer. Two of my tapes had to be transplanted into empty cassette shells... At least once a month...I exercise all my ancient electronics. Please enjoy exercising your Lincoln on those huge highways out there on the mainland. Aloha!

@jimcabezola3051 oh yes, The Dragon! Thanks for your service btw! If I had of went Air Force or Navy, I probably would have stayed in... The DR was (is) a great deck! Too bad RU-vid has such strict copyright policies, because I'm jamming the whole time I'm in the garage! 🍻

@@SkaggsGarage Yes sir! I didn't have all the right stuff for the Marines. They're tough hombres. I stayed in the Chair Force😆🤣! Overseas, some of us would even bring our "spare" stereos and jam out in the break room. We couldn't have them in the maintenance bay because the U.S. Bureau of Mines deemed the switches in the stereos to be of the type that could throw sparks. Since I was a munitions dude...yeah...that would've been a problem😆🤣! Enjoy your garage jams! Aloha, Marine and mahalo for YOUR service!

love it! I want that mirror for my 76 now! Wonder if it will fit. The interior on yours twin of mine. Every time I get in it, I think of my wife’s grandparents… and thank them. And I’m glad they chose me as the curator. Thanks for the tips on the door panel!
