Hello and welcome to our latest VLOG from Black and White in Alaska! We are Alex and Craig. Alex was born and raised in Germany, while Craig is originally from Alabama. We have been living in Fairbanks for almost 15 years. Our home is situated in a beautiful wooded area, where we are not connected to any city water. However, we enjoy a relatively modern lifestyle with our teenage children, dogs, and cat. Join us as we share our daily experiences in one of the most stunning places on earth.
At the end of January, we experienced freezing temperatures. Join us as we navigate through the harsh winter in the interior of Alaska.
With Love and Peace from Alaska,
Alex and Craig

Another great video. Yes, I totally agree on the lower 48 is much more stressful than Alaska. Ive lived there and miss it all the time. Hope you all stay there for a long time, like to see more videos.

Hi Alex. I read about AK having frigid temperatures for a few weeks. Ouch! Do you have a battery operated jumper cable pack? -47😮 I guess what you did is a winter tradition? When we lived in NY, there was a polar plunge into a lake 50 miles north of us. I hear that very cold weather isn’t good for COPD which I have. Would standing in that cold help my back? Freeze up my cages and rods? Well, it was great seeing you both again. Till next time.

-40° below! I remember those days. Plugging in the car and putting heat in the gas tank. I don’t miss that. Do you have fuel or propane heat at the house? You should consider getting a portable jumper box and leave it in the house. That temperature sign was not there when I lived there. But it looks fun, for maybe about a minute or two. Craig should have gone with you. 😊 I hope you are doing well. 😊❤

We have fuel heat. That’s a good idea! Thanks for sharing! Take care.
