The turret and sentry was their own separate towers back then. That’s why he said engineer is the closest to sentry, especially considering that engineer sentries that get spawned ALSO has a wind up before maximum damage, just like our old sentry. Compared to the turret which doesn’t have windup and was generally different.
making balanced towers are harder than u guys might think. Like you made it stronger and people starts using it so u nerf it and they hate on u and if there is a bad tower u will waste time to fix it and have no time for ur update and people will hate u but ngl his updates take too long
yes turret you ARE a joke to elite, you cost alot have a bad place ment limit and even mini is better than you, they use you in like almost no stategys, as for mini is getting used in like every loadout
I think the sentry is got buff than a nerf tho. U can get 6 enggineer 1 enggineer can get 3-4 sentry. Also don't forget new sentry is having AOE. That made enggineer kinda op.
Those were the good days back when they still had 1 v.s 1 and the insane mode was amazing. I wish they kept it and just add fallen as a bigger mode or less difficult mode.
I started when TDS first came out of alpha around June 2019 and sentry didn't exist yet and we only had 9 towers lol. So the best unit was minigunner and commander before really. You can still win a fallen today in quad op with 4 guys running minigunners and CTA chaining.
@@creeperdash2967 I was referring to now where you can still beat fallen with 4 players on minigunner, also commander I believe came only a few days after release from memory so actually we did not have commander yet.
My First ever loadout that i’ve been able to do solo fallen with was G Mini, Farm, Dj, Commander, Ranger. I think it was Between 2020 Nov - 2022 Gold Perks update that it was possible
When you said “can the first loadout ever still beat fallen” I thought you would use scout and sniper as it’s the first loadout you get when you join the game
Engineer is closer than turret, the starting prices, the dps, the placement limits, engineer is the closer thing to sentry since engineer was made to replace sentry
Here's a better strat for anyone: use Commander Accelerator farm and Millitant place Millitant first upgrade it once and when unplaced it farm use comander place it down and save for acceleratot place next to commander and place more accelerators and commanders at different areas to protect this strat was made by me tell me if it works btw this strat could possibly work on fallen it works molten and gravediggrr
but how could engineer even build sentry if it cant attack ? also engineer will build sentries new to her , so it would make the sentries not utilize all of its range

- Turret is way worse than engineer - It's impossible to beat this *even with* engineer so using turret would only make things worse - Engineer spawns sentries which makes it closer to the sentry than the turret
@@FumoConsumer engineer is a humanoid tower, yes it does build sentries which is close but a turret is literally the same thing as a sentry. BUT everyone has their opinions
everybody forgot the fact that insane mode in 2019 when the area 51 event came out it took 1 hour to beat insane mode with 8 people it was so hard but so fun at the same time :D

I think switching to Golden Minigunner and changing Freezer and Rocketeer to Commander and DJ it would be a very easy challenge, but I get why you didn’t do that to keep true to the challenge.
