I'm level 341 and got to wave 21. The last fallen of that wave was 21 health and I only had 16 to spare at that point. It was close, but I don't think I could have done anything differently to change the outcome.
Golden scout is a great tower in general. he has an average range and a firing speed comparable to the average firing speed of all towers combined. his only weakness is that he doesnt have enough range to work with the potentially average dps he offers. Golden soldier is the core of the starter towers. with good range and good dps, he is able to take down large groups of enemies with ease. his weakness is that he shoots in short bursts instead of sustained firing, which really limits his potential. burst firing is also not good for fast enemies as the soldier requires a little bit of down time to fire another burst. soldier is great at taking down large groups of weak enemies, but really struggles with tanky or really fast enemies. Golden crook boss is a relatively expensive tower, and is the basis of spawning towers. he has insane dps for such an early on achieved tower, but he suffers low dps in his early levels. he performs best with his crook spawn, as they cover his weakness of large groups of enemies as they can focus on one target and melt it quickly. his main weakness is his high cost for a supposedly early on defence tower. hes also not that great for hiddens early on. Golden Cowboy. i have no permission to judge such a high tier tower, but ill give a brief explanation. he is able to get alot of cash early on and if used properly, he can basically make you a multimillionaire and can have overpowered dps in great numbers. overall an awesome towers. Golden pyro is now jesus for early wave. you cant convince me otherwise. he is now able to get infinite crowd control as his flames penetrate infinitely. his damage, after burn and hidden detection cover his only weakness fo fast and hidden enemies. he really struggles on tanky enemies on his own, unfortunately, but in a team, he can lower defence. and we all know lowered defence is AWESOME 😎👍 Golden minigunner. budget accelerator 👍 edit: 10 times my sub count. Heh.
For the burst of the soldier, its not a glitch. Its burst is becoming 2 or 3 because of the hp of the abnormals when the hp is higher than soldier's burst it will maximize its burst until its lower than its burst.
Ye the damege from the golden soilder its 2 or 3 besouse the abnormals has 6 health the heavy is 16 health and level 3 is is 4 damage per shot so the burst is 4 burst
Soldier was 2 burst because fast and normal is too weak. Shortening the sound of burst. That's why there was more burst in heavies because they have more health.
Plus, the upgrades bugged. The burst count on level 0-2 is still 3, level 4 has 7, and level 4 has 10. Originally level 1 supposed to have 4 burst, level 2 5 burst, level 3 7, and level 4 12
19:10 actually I think it does make sense because the Frost skins look more like towers dressed specifically to be able to fight in the cold which makes sense when you are fighting an army made of ice so using a Pyromancer to burn down the ice enemies is a smart tactic.
@Emperor bacon Sure it does alot of dps when clustered up but during early game where you dont have money, spreading them is better. As you let round 1 pyro do damage the. Pyro 2 do the second on,you get the point.Low level pyro isnt that good at shredding but for survival spreading them is defenetly better while clustering them up is for speedrunning. Here elite is trying to survive not speedrun.
Can't see anyone else saying this, but after killing an enemy, all soldiers stop their shooting animation, no matter how many shots out of the burst were used, but the damage is still done to whatever the next target would be.
Soldier’s animation is partly broken. For example, if you have a Lvl 3 Soldier (Golden) and when a normal gets into the Soldier’s range, The burst won’t stop but the shooting animation stops because the Lvl 3 Soldier (Golden) one shots the normal. That’s why Soldier at all levels sometimes has a weird, random amount of burst. (Depending on the Soldier’s level and the health of the enemy.)
Here's a tip in using pyro: set them to farthest target mode. Since they deal continuous burn dmg once they hit an enemy, just one hit will do enough to clear earlier waves like normals and heavys. Also put three in each corners (one in the very corner, and one more in each side) for better range.
the reason the soldiers burst is broken is because if it kills the targeted enemy with less shots than it can do than it stops to target the next enemy and resets the burst, I'm pretty sure the reason it happens with gold soldier and not regular is because of the damage increase so it kills the target faster.
I am level 439. Here is my 20 attempts on the abandoned city map, I started with tanking health till wave 8 started what got me over 3k cash. After that i started to lv up my golden minigunner to lv 3 for more dps. At wave 20 I didn't really had to place another golden mini but i always got scared so i placed another golden mini just incase. Then I continued to lv up the 2nd golden minigunner to lv 3. From there it was basically place more mini and put them to lv 3. Bad RNG can really kill you when you skip waves too early (I was struggling with fallen and glitches). After strugging many attempts with glitches I got to wave 31, at wave 30 - 31 the tank just pushes thrrough and the most damage i could do was for him to get down to 2k HP. But there was no way i could defeat him, i was lacking the need of money. It didnt even matter where i placed them. I couldnt kill him due the fact I only had like 6 lv 3 golden minigunners at that time. I tried spamming lv 2 minigunners but that run was just worse so yeah... If anyone wants to see how I managed to get to wave 31 I can upload the recording I did while playing
tbh, the golden soldier before the golden perks update was actually better than this current version. this is because of the fast fire rate, and it wouldn’t be scamming you as well. it handled enemies really well, with a good amount of damage.
i tried gold mini was able to get gold mini with around 18 hp left cuz my base was 238 hp (lvl 347 btw) ended up losing to wave 21 because the rng of mystery summoned 5 abnormal bosses then didn't have enough dps to kill fallens rip tbh it was worth a try
As for the soldier, its burst or hits per round depends on the zombie it targets. For eg. Normal Zombie (4 HP) Lvl 3 Soldier (4 Damage per hit, 8 hits per burst) = It would only take the soldier to shoot 1 bullet in its 8 round per burst since the normal zombie's HP is exactly 1/8 of the soldier's round per burst. It's a really great detail but it's actually not an advantageous detail since the soldier doesn't maximize it's rounds per burst. In my opinion, I'd rather use the soldier in smart locking the "strongest" target per wave because it maximize it's round per burst. And mix it with some scouts that will focus the "first" target per wave.
Soldier needs to be buffed because it has a 1 damage bonus because every other skins is like a multiplier which is really dumb Another edit: like so we ratio bot
Yeah. The golden soldier is my favorite tower (besides executioner) Like why not have it have a 1 damage bonus and the burst buff? Did they make pyro to op for legit no reason so why not?
@@tootie3514 They had a reason. Pyro was trash for very much time, it deserved it a buff, also gold soldier is buggy so he has 10 burst at max lvl, 3 instead of 5, so yea
@@NameMeAL Pyro was trash but they overbuffed it. it is to OP and people are praisng it like its a god which it isn't. All gold towers should be equal no good no bad just Below needs to make it fair so people arent like AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA YOU HAVE GOLDEN COOK BOSS? LOL ITS TRASH. So yeah that's why
Writing this as I watch... The Golden Scout is pretty amazing when you get it to at least Lv3. At Lv0 to 2 it's not all that fantastic, though it's a cheap way to get Hidden Detection at LV2 for a total cost of $825. What's important is the total DPS and Cost per point of damage per second. So here are the numbers: Golden Scout Lv3 DPS=13.19, Cost per DPS=$167.266 Lv4 DPS=36.76, Cost per DPS=$170.1 So upgrading to Lv4 isn't the most cost effective, but pretty darned close. The Golden Soldier is a lot less impressive cost wise than the GScout. It has a range that's only one (1) better than the GScout and at Lv3 and Lv4 is does less damage than the GScout while costing more. The numbers looks like this: Golden Soldier Lv3 DPS=13.14, Cost per DPS=$266.36 Lv4 DPS=30,7, Cost per DPS=$276.87 Again there's not a humungous difference, but Lv3 is certainly more cost efficient. Golden Crook Boss is harder to quantify. If you add all the damage together as if the Bodyguards are always able to do damage it looks like this: Golden Crook Boss Lv2 DPS=7.17 + 3.29, Cost per DPS=$191.2 Lv3 DPS=19.23 + 7.74, Cost per DPS=$74.16 Lv4 DPS=72.46 +25.32, Cost per DPS=$132.95 The first DPS number is the Crook Boss damage. The second number is the bodyguards damage. I added them together for the cost calculation. As you can see Lv3 is the sweet spot as far as cost per damage is concerned. But there are a few caveats. First of all the bodyguards are not always going to be doing damage. Second of all the body guards are not able to see Hidden even if the Crook Boss is able to, so they will walk right into them and be ran over. However at Lv4 the Crook Boss himself is a pretty darned strong tower with a DPS of 72.46. Finally you can only place four (4) of these on the map. That limits the total damage output they can achieve quite severely. Darn it I can't keep up with the video. STOP SKIPPING! Just kidding, but as I never really liked the Pyro I haven't investigate the Golden Pyro all that much. Now something I think I remember is that if possible you want to place it in front of the first 90° bend in the path and set it to Target Last. That way it will fire it's flame all over the critters coming towards it which deals maximum damage as it deals AOE damage. Having the Pyro in the middle of a loop can seem tempting, but then it will only deal damage to one target at a time, which is good when you have a single boss walking through but bad when it's a horde. [Edit: Added GCowboy and GMinigunner below] Golden Cowboy... I don't have it and don't know if I'll be able to get a team together to take on Badlands II. So I have nothing to say here... Golden Minigunner is a nice power boost. It's not a complex tower other than it having a spin up time. But you either learn to live with it or don't. It's that easy. As for the number they look like this: Golden Minigunner Lv2 DPS=27.78 , Cost per DPS=$206.98 Lv3 DPS=68.97 , Cost per DPS=$192.11 Lv4 DPS=103.45 , Cost per DPS=$224.75 You always want to upgrade to at least Lv2 to get Hidden detection so there's not really any good reason to look at lower levels. Lv3 is the most cost effective if all you look at is DPS but you do get a nice range increase at Lv4 in addition to almost doubling the damage dealt. When space is at a premium or you've maxed out your placement limit then go for Lv4, but else you get more bang for the buck at Lv3. Now there's also the question about the Firerate Bug. Frankly I have no idea if that's still a thing or not. If you know the current status for that bug please post a comment.
@@ForbiddenAnswer The game has had at least two, possibly three rebalancing updates since I wrote this. But I can't remember hearing anything about the Goldens being boosted or nerfed, so I think the numbers are still valid.
the reason why the golden soldier was firing two shots per zombie, was that it was doing 3 damage and the abnormal zombies had 4 hp, so it only needed to fire two shots to kill the zombie.
Elite, on the soldier it’s just a low number of burst because it can kill normals with 3 or 2 shots so after it kills a zombie it doesn’t continue the burst that’s why it only has a burst of 2 or 3 sometimes not is full burst.
Falling king:LVL 0 SCOUTS LOL Fallen kings hp:160,000 Elite:/spawn 160,000 scouts *INSTENSE MUSIC* btw the intense I’m talking about to called new magic wand
For the golden soldier , it depends on when the enemy dies, for example, normals have 4 hp, depending on how much damage each shot does, it could be a burst of one
Something about golden soldier: Golden soldier (and regular soldier) keep firing at the enemy until it dies. If it dies while it's burst is still on, it continues the burst to the next enemy.
I think the reason the golden soldiers burst was doing that because that’s how many shots it took to kill the enemy and sometimes it took less than 4 or what it was supposed to have
the best way to do this is by getting farm because expensive towers like golden mini require 3 k or less elite died because he could get that in time, but for the people who use farms they can get the golden mini before wave 10
The reason of why the Golden Soldier just sound 3 times then 2 times is that the Abnormals have 6 health and at that level that the Golden Soldier gets 5 burst it also makes it deal 3 damage and same for the 4 burst, it did 2 health so it did 3 burst.
reason the mysteries were so clustered up during scout testing: happens to me all the time, only happens in soloss unless everyonhes internet is bad. its because of intenret issues.
6:11 The reason why the soldier only does 3 bursts, each hit was 2 damage, an abnormal has 6 health and 3 x 2 = 6, the soldier kills the abnormal before the fourth burst, so a soldier is unable to do the fourth burst on an abnormal.
6:30 the reason the soldier had 2 burst is not because of a glitch but because of damage, an abnormal has 8 hp and a soldier does 4 damage per burst so yeah theres not enough hp for the bursts to happen
6:42 the burst is 2 because of the hp of the zombie, since the soldier does 3 hp a shot and for example you're killing a speedy, it will do 2 burst(s) because a speedy has 4 hp. I am no tds nerd so im not sure
Not to be rude but the soldier part was a smooth brain moment cause soldier shoots enough burst's to oof that one enemy it was targeting just goes to show that soldier is meant for single target damage not crowd control
6:30 it has a burst of 2 because abnormal has 6 hp and soldier is doing 3 each shot, and in 2 shots a abnormal dies and it doesnt go over to the next enemy because tds coding, so soldier isnt scamming you, its just how tds damaging works with bursts
