Did you have any problems with the i7 2600 and motherboard only supporting pci express 2.0, when the rx 580 needs 3.0? Im just a bit worried cause ive bought a gigabyte aorus rx 580 to put into my i7 2600 system and i dont want it to break itself because the version of pci express is different. Btw i subbed thanks if you reply.
hi, thanks for subscribing! I didn't have any compatible issues with it. It shouldn't be a problem only that the speeds are a little bit slower but you would not notice it.
@@hardwaretested2795 Ok, i was just a bit worried because some other people were saying it wouldnt work anyways thanks for the video and thanks for replying!
I still game with this cpu. Paired it with 1660S. Not a single hiccup on BFV ultra 1440p. Not sure about other games but this cpu is an incredible processor. I mean, it’s a 2011/2012 cpu and somehow it’s still manages to pull through. Obviously, if there is a need to replace the cpu such as if it gave up and broke or no longer functioning .. then it’s justified to buy a new processor and motherboard. But I’ve saved a lot of money not being able to buy the latest and greatest unless there is a dire need to buy new.
Very nice! My i7-2600 non K is overclocked to 4.4GHz and I dont't want to upgrade it, because it's still a really good CPU for me. Edit: I have an i7-8086K @5GHz now with 32GB RAM and an RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB, I would still recommend the i7-2600 if you don't have that much money for a PC. I had it paired with an RX 580 8GB, it was a good PC. You can pick up an RX 570 or an 580 for decent price. I gave the i7 2600 to my sister btw lol
Looking forward to move from my Core 2 Quad Q9550, 8GB DDR2 and HD 7870 to i7 2600/i5 3470, 8GB DDR3 and RX 470/570/580. It looks like it could be really big upgrade to me, what do you think?
You should definitely do that. It's going to be at least 5 times better experience for you. I would recommend you trying to find i7 4770 for few more bucks. It's much better than 2600 and it will last you for years.
@@shabizla i7 4770 is still quite expensive here in my country, and good 1150 motherboards are often hard to find at good prices(theres also alot of people selling 1150 OEM which are really bad).
@@bigjuicyvert8751 Actually, I got myself i5 3470, Asus P8Z77-V LX MoBo and 2x4GB Hynix RAM to 1600Mhz. So far so good! Btw I still have HD 7870 with me, tho its not bottlenecked anymore because of my old Q9550, hence perfomance in games are more than satisfiyng for now. All I can tell is that its huge upgrade for me! I dont regret buying those components! Plus, I additionally I got myself 240GB SSD, hence Windows 10 boots super fast and performs fast too. Couldn't be more happier :D
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I dont have the i7 2600 anymore but if you are going to build a pc I would consider buying a ryzen 3 1200 on am4 socket if your on a tight budget and upgrade from there.
@@hardwaretested2795 ahh ok, i just buyed this set and dont have enough money to buy new processor and motherboard. So i can do something with this i7 big usage?
Just looking at getting my first gaming pc but very much on a budget the one I am looking at has this cpu and GeForce GTA 1660 6gb graphics card price wise it £779 is that good value or could I get better for my money
1660 6gb is slightly better only 10 fps difference. But 580 and 1660 is the only cards that you can still buy. Any better than that most likely out of stock. Recently got my 580 with my i7 2600 and im very happy with what i got. In this god forsaken pandemic and inflations. Cheers
@@nghugues6388 it does cpu bottleneck. cpu is old to handle the gpu's. but it does gives a good performance. i'd suggest getting the gpu then upgrade your cpu later. for 1080p you should have no problem at all.
