Can it steam milk? We put this little machines steam wand to the test to see how well a heat exchange machine can do steaming milk for that silk smooth latte art. How does it do? / mitchdoes
I had cube for a rough one month, same set up as yours, but I found lack of control of the independent brew temperature and the fluctuations pressure of the steam is annoying, think of gave up on this machine and move to dual boiler
@@mitchdoescoffee Yes,I am in Australia, for a example,if so set the temperature as 124, when stemming even for only 1-2 sec,the temperature will drop at least 5 degree instantly
That doesn't sound typical... mine will drop 1-2 deg for a moment, but recovers by the time i finish steaming milk. However, the boiler temp shown at the time of steaming wouldn't really have too much of an effect of anything. Even my 3 group Opera will show a drop in temperature when purging the steam wand, but recover at the same speed.
Update: I kinda find a middle ground for the issue I am facing,in the user menus it has a brew temperature graph shows steam and brew temperature relationships,I just use that as a suggestion to get my ideal brew temperature, then every time when I finish brew coffee,I will crank the steam temperature back to 1.5 bar to steam milk, little bit of inconvenient, but I am not in hurry to make coffee,I also get a second dual boiler coffee machine when I am in hurry
