Sifting gravel since the fall leaves have covered and smothered the gravel bars.

Perdez point? your a lucky man! My house got robbed, and they took every piece i made, found, recieved, my rocks, my turkey roaster, my cat my underwear. I got evicted too because of me having to be away at the hospital for an injury. LOL I have to go creek walking to stalk up again. Thanks for the inspiration Dan, they say every creek has gold. This translates to alot of stuff one would consider treasure!!!

:-O WOW that's is a SMALL birdie! I've found small but that's crazy! I need to start looking closer at the field I go to that's produced most of my birds with that one! NICE!

Some Native Americans hunted small game with blow guns perhaps that's the purpose of the point.

Yes we are. Most of the points in our area are red jasper.

You need to make a sifter so you can sift through the gravel. There’s lots of videos on making artifact sifters!

Indeed! And if one walks with their eye closely to the ground, treasure can be found

I would'nt want to shoot an arrowhead narrower than the arrowshaft. maybe the tiny point was for precise drilling
@gotrocksinhead

It's possible but drills were usually not flat but more of a three-sided shape or just a much fatter point. I don't really know. Seems crazy to make them so small. Maybe they were having a small point making contest.

You think they were shooting fish with arrow heads? Making them as small as possible to preserve the material because they lose every shot?

I asked a local expert and he said they were used for hunting game, both big and small. They would mount it on a tapered hardwood foreshaft for an arrow. All it had to do is poke a vital spot. It seems that it is almost more difficult to make a point so tiny as opposed to one even slightly larger.

biblereading ah like one of those nasty creek Indian heads with the forespine in front of the wood serrations
