You won me when you shared your faith. Never be ashamed. I have watched several of your videos. Now you have my support. Keep on fishing, and keep changing lives Tyler.
@@barrymanutts8223 the fact that he stands unashamed for his faith shows his integrity in that faith. What does that have to do with fishing? That really depends on how you want to look at things. I see him using fishing as a platform to share his faith. It is a part of who he is.
Hey Tyler, thanks for the great Shaky Head video! I was lovin the shaky head over the summer! Your a great inspiration to me for faith and for fishing. Keep it up brother!!!
Tyler another great video brother, i agree with you. Id choose the texas rig all day. Thanks for everything i hope you and the family are doing fantastic, we love you and May God Bless y'all 🙏 ✝🎣 🐟❤
I just caught my first fish on the jig today too. I fell on my ass while setting the hook as i was on a slope. There was a lady walking behind me, she laughed so hard it was funny but i landed a 2.5lber. My friend who was fishing next to me went to sportsman warehouse and dropped $400 on a punching/heavy jig/flipping setup.
Depends on conditions. If your fishing water that has a lot of grass(hydrylla, milfoil, mats) or your fishing around heavy cover wood ,nothing less then 50 lb.If it's just open water fishing you could probably get away with as little as 20 lb but I think I'd still go heavier cause you really need to drive the hooks on your hookset with a frog .Chatter baits and jigs,I would recommend fluorocarbon line unless the water visibility is less then a foot or again if your fishing grass.
Becoming a huge fan of yours. Love that you are a Christian and will be buying gear fand attire from your website. Used your advice today fishing in Arkansas. Caught 6 Bass using your shaky head setup and Ned rig. nothing huge, 3-4 lbs but still fun. God Bless
AMEN!!! Besides the great shakey head content, thanks for sharing the Gospel!!! I love what you're doing Tyler. Keep doing what you're doing. Blessings man!!!
2:35 “This one that looks like a UFO, and this one that looks like the alien that’s driving the UFO.” That had me ROLLIN’, Brother!! Outstanding video with TONS of Shakes Head info! 👍👍
Yep!! Busted out laughing to be exact. Actually and you probably know this already, but that Shakey Head Jig you called a UFO is really called the “Stand Up Alien Head Jig” and they are made by Gamakatsu. But when you described the other one as the “Alien that’s driving the UFO.” That was the hilarious!!
What "big" size worm do you use most often? Between the regular senko straight tail worm and the curly tail worm, is one better than the other? Would you use it in shallow and deeper water? For the sake of cost and space, I don't need to be buying multiple length worms.
Tryed a shaky head on my trip this weekend and caught one fish on it but it's to light to throw on my baitcaster and I don't have a good spinning rod yet but definitely need to get one to throw the shakyhead more often. Love your videos Tyler.
Try a bfs reel/ They can cast 1/16 oz lures. Try BFS in general. Nobody in the u.s Really knows about it tbh. Theres like 3 total anglers in the u.s that actually do bfs fishing. Give it a few years and all the youtubers will be using it.
4 worms I’ve found and love that will stand up and stay up is the zman SMH shaky head worm, 6th sense divine shaky worm, the 12” manns jelly worm, and the Netbaits t-Mac worm.
Hey man! Love the channel! Love your brand and love it’s message. I’m a local youth pastor and talk to my boys all the time about being outside in God’s creation. When are you restocking that black leather patch hat on your site? Would love to support.
I have only fished it in one specific area here in Florida, it's an old rock quarry that i discovered a few years ago, it it full of giants that love the shakey head with an 8 inch watermelon red mag worm. Other than that 99% of the time i fish Texas rig everywhere else.
You can also insert a small piece of a toothpick in the end of a regular plastic worm and it will help stand up your shaky head worm. Bigger the worm bigger the toothpick.
I got some problems with God. But come here for excellent fishing knowledge. "Give a person a fish they eat that day, Teach a person to fish, they eat for a lifetime " 🍻
And I’m glad you’re here my man! You may have problems with God, but I can promise you that he doesn’t have any problems with you. He loves you and wants you to know him
I't's like i tell all my friends you wanna save a few bucks or increase your hookup chance ratio. Prime example today at the tackle store. My friend was looking at 1oz punching tungsten that was $10. Then i showed him 4 of them for $1.99. I asked him do you want to save a few bucks or catch more fish.
@@TylersReelFishing Let me rephrase that then. In my local market, I can get good quality hooks and weights for Texas rigs MUCH cheaper than what I can get good quality shaky head jigheads. However, I do not buy top-tier equipment either. My experience tells me that the fish can't tell, but my bank account sure can!
@@freshandsaltyjohnny I'm just not seeing the price-performance correlation. A $10 tungsten weight does not perform 20 times better or catch 20 times as many fish as the $0.50 weight. In fact, I think you would be hard pressed to see a statistical variance in the two in exhaustive testing. There are many cheap vs. expensive lure/tackle challenges on RU-vid, and if you watch enough of them, you will see that lure/tackle cost has almost no bearing on fish catching. The top factors are always the fisherman, the location, and the technique.
@@TylersReelFishing definitely location specific to find areas you can use bottom techniques other than the Texas rig or drop shot without loading the jig up with junk.
Caught a nice 2lber on a shakey head this weekend. It was my first bass with a plastic worm. Threw one of those strike king finesse worms, Caffeine and red. Worked like a charm. Promptly lost it to cover the next throw, but hey! I had a fish to show for it!
@TylersReelFishing I don't know I would use a shaky head just because you have better feel on a drop shot( bass could probably see somthing in the column better)
Hey man, it's me again. Hope you're doing good! So I just got my boat finished and I've been fishing on lake Norman a ton. I've been catching a lot spotted bass. But I spoke to a professional who's been fishing over there and he's this older man and he was telling me that he called a lot of his fish on a shaky head. This video helped me out a ton. I really appreciate you!
I bet the free rig would be really cool with that Z2 plastic and it catches hawgs. Kinda a fun finesse variation on the t rig theme that is great when you're dealing with pressured fish who have seen a lot of shaky heads and t rigs.
@@TylersReelFishing dude I'm just a lil pond hopper in Alabama so you are a go to for tips about certain lures I haven't ever used and how to work them
Love how you shared your faith man. There’s always an opportunity. I’ve been following you for awhile and you’ve really helped me, thank you. Keep at it brother
