Can too many solar panels cause damage? 

I've seen some videos saying that too many solar panels can cause damage.
As long as the solar panel system's maximum voltage is within the inverter specifications that they connect you will not be able to cause any damage.
Because solar panels only operate at their maximum capacity for short periods of time it is often desirable to have additional solar panels to get your desired generation target across most of the day.
