At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. In the next 30 years 2 people will be living in cities and 8 will be living in villages And the reason is remote work, online schools/colleges, better living conditions, cheap cost of living, starlink, upi/net banking

I think we are not focusing on the main reason of migration in uttrakhand which are lack of schools, colleges and educational institutions, pathetic healthcare and unemployment. We can see no improvement in healthcare even for a minor problem people in villages have to travel more than 100 or 200 km..there are very less good schools and colleges. Only people who are old or retired from a job or are in government sectors are mostly seen in villages.

Very well said Sir. What I feel is there is lack of awareness among the villages of Uttarakhand and also initiative to start something of there own are two big problems

Pranav champion ( mla from khanpur) abused uttarakhand verbally. Maa bahan ki gali apne hi state ko dete hai. Still his wife got ticket. That's a point about plain politics.

These hills are off course beautiful but dangerous as well, you will start realizing it when you are in medical emergency and you are 5 to 6 mile away from vehicle road, this is the only reason for my 800 population village migration from Pauri

Connectivity is one of the issue as discussed in the talk, same is to be corrected by connecting every village to the local market by roads atleast.

This is to be handled by local people with creative ambition to locally produce, Earn and grow with provided political concern and effective administrative support. This way the created economic growth will not only strengthen the roots of villagers but also pull back the migrated families struggling in urban areas.

I think development of service sector like Information technology and financial services can improve future of uttarakhand. If government provide high incentives and economical office spaces then uttarakhand has ample of skilled workforce to serve such units which ultimately improve the per capita income of the state example like it happened in pune and bangalore.

The trend is not only in India but all over the world. People are migrating to urban centres due to facilities.
