Do you remember the old Northwind Traders database that made Microsoft Access so popular? We have the data in SharePoint, and now we're ready to rewrite the whole application using Power Apps. Can we start from scratch and finish the whole app in two hours? Let's see!

About 24 hours ago, we opened up the old Northwind Traders database in MS access and we imported it all into SharePoint. See that here: • Importing Access Data ...

Excellent live stream for Power Apps. I have been trying to decide how to move my apps from Access to the cloud and this feed answered enough of my basic questions so that I am eager to learn more. Well done.

In programming, it"s not so much what you know within a language or platform. It's about knowing where your reference material is and how go access it. Reference books are really important because programmers tend to use 10% of the code 90% of the time. The other 90%, you look up when you need it. It's also good, even for seasoned developers to revisit the basics once in a while. I say all of this because Darren's live stream work has turned into what I am saving as a reference book that I can revisit whenever I need to. He has addressed several important things to know as an application develops. I think there will be more app development tenents discussed in his future live streams. I intend to capture every url nand create my reference library with them. Hmmmm....maybe a new book is coming.

Derren hi! May I ask, how did you succeeded in deleting all those duplicated lists in SharePoint (that we couldn't on the end of the last video)?! And I have to say that I'm enjoying your videos...keep up with a great job mate!

Hi Vladimir! I ended up exporting the Access tables to Excel data, then imported those into a blank Access DB, then imported those into SharePoint. Then I had to set up all the relationships manually. It wasn't fun. This part of the project has been disappointing because it makes it hard for you guys to follow. 😨 I’ve been trying to think of a way to make it quick easy for the import for you guys.

This is such a helpful video thanks. The only thing that didn't work for me is that after publishing, text on the two lower buttons doesn't become visible until you click on them. Would you know how to get them to show by default?

If you fill out the student intake form, I do have a Facebook group where I try to help people. Sharing videos and screen shots are easier there. Hope to see you there! learn.powerappstutorial.com/InsidersGroupSurvey

Microsoft has recently changed their menu structure in Power Apps Studio, unfortunately. The items are still there, but you have to hunt around a little to find them.
