I like how Ryu sometimes goes "wow!!" When something unexpected happened but I've already died of anxiety like a hundred times just watching him do ridiculous precision BS and what not.

I love that, sometimes, what makes a “great stage” is that it is : 1)Easy 2)Short 3)Has 3 free and easy 1-Ups at the end. While struggling with only 2 lives left, and you hit one of these - You know what? Yeah man, that *was* a pretty great stage. Love you, Ryu. Hope the next 3 years are kind to you.
Every time I watch you, I get more and more hooked on your content. Keep it up man, you are so entertaining to watch. It's easy to binge watch your content.
am i the only one that realised that the 'trust level' wouldn't actually kill you if you just ran forward from the start because it was timed to not kill you as long as you didnt stop
I feel like the ghost level at 11:00 deserved a heart. Harmless little puzzle with a lite theme. Was a nice simple level that didn't abuse the dark theme.
I really liked the Rougeport level. Some areas were definitely recognizable, like the boat at the beginning at Gus was the hammer brother in the small opening.

Alex Finney Those hour vids are usually low quality streams tho. The ratio is about 10 minutes for an add for what ryu did, he should’ve put 6 in there for the extra money but he isn’t money hungry.
@@zlabobabil really i have never seen an hour stream the shortest stream i've seen is 4 hours and the lowest amount of ads 15 it was as good quality as this vid with no ads that wasn't a stream and are much more common than low quality streams Edit: i am on mobile so i had a few spelling errors but at least not definition errors

dude that rogueport level was awesome! Rogueport was the main hub city of Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door (its the best game on the Gamecube!) the pipe you went in at the end would take you to the Rogueport Sewers, and a few floors deep, you see a giant ornate door with a big pedestal in front of it. that door is the Thousand Year Door. he didnt have room to make the sewers in this stage, but the goal is basically where the TYD is. that level was the best.

It's been that way since his second video playing this difficulty. He got it trying to make an endless run last as long as possible. He started it on an older video. I bet it finally ended in a stream.
Whenever I see a snowy level where you can slide I think of the phone game where you run away from a penguin as a polar bear sliding down slopes. That game was my childhood
I think as of right now Rogueport might be one of my favourite Mario maker levels. I've been searching through all of the SMM2 videos just to watch it again. xD Also -- 19:35 -- Ryu has officially become a cat!
If anyone is curious, the probability that Ryu continues a run forever (when he starts with just one life) is given by: 1 - max( (probability that Ryu loses a life)/(probability that Ryu gains a life), 1) If, on average, Ryu has an equal chance of gaining or losing a life, any run will inevitably end, regardless of the number of starting lives. If Ryu has a better chance of gaining a life than losing a life on average, then there is some possibility that a run will continue forever, even if Ryu only starts with one life.

checkpoints in smm2 should get updated: if you die with like 1 red coin or more you will stay with it when you die and got an checkpoint with the collected coin but if you got all coins have the key and die all coins get resseted

If he would have continued playing forever, Ryu might either end up with 0 lifes at some point or a very large number of lifes, such that his chances of loosing are actually 0. One can calculate that, given the situation at the end of the video, his chances of loosing in the limit of infinit playtime are only around 2 %. So I think the arbitrary cutoff at stage 16 was a reasonably good winning condition. :) Calculation: Ryu had 9 lifes after 16 stages. On average we may assume (simplified!) the lifes are performing a random walk on the interval (0,infinity). If his probability to win a life after beating a stage is p, then from the average of the binomial distribution we can deduce: 16*p = 9. Therefore p is around 3/5. Given his current lives and p it is possible to derive the chances of loosing if Ryu keeps playing eventually forever using the formula for Gamblers Ruin (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_ruin). P(loosing the challenge, starting with n lives) = ((1-p)/p)^n = (2/3)^n. Starting with n=9 lifes, his chances to loose are actually only around 2 %. However at the start of the run, lets say at the second stage, the chances of loosing in the limit of infinit play time are a lot higher. We have seen this.

I'll bet that that Trust Test level would have worked fine if Ryu had just ran through it. He probably broke the synchronization by fiddling with it. Oh well.
