Super Mario Bros. 2 is by far the best Mario game! I've heard you say that comment before in your live stream and was blown away. Most people say it's their least favorite!
2:00 Bro, that cover art looks so weird. Whoever made that is actually just bad at drawing. Look at his front leg, it come's out from between his legs basically. Like he actually has no right leg and what we're seeing is his wiener.
You know what would be a badass inclusion for SMM3? A Zelda II: Adventure of Link suit. Unlike LoZ, Zelda II's is actually a side-scroller / platformer. I mean, imagine playing as a tall, grown up Link, with some relevant skills like a Downward Thrust attack, an ability to smash blocks with Link's Sword, and a Candle for dark rooms. Heck, maybe even give the player access to some of that game's spells, such High Jump (to double Link's normal jump height) Armor (temporary invincibility), and Fairie (would allow Link to move some number of spaces through the air and through tiny spaces), with each spell having a cooldown period between uses. Zelda II being in SMM3 could potentially add a great deal strategic depth to both gameplay and the level design. And the game could also keep Zelda 1 suit intact, obviously. I dunno, while watching you play through the Zelda level, that all just sort of popped into my head...probably because I've been replaying Zelda II this week and feeling like the game is actually better than I remembered it. To those who are actually reading this comment, do you think Zelda II's Link would work in a SMM game?
He could have, but he still needed to enter the pipe... which would have required the stump. So the giant dry bones was really the only way to get up there along with the stump. Still there was no shortage of his dumb actions in that 1st level. It was obvious the top was meant for a dry bones earlier in that part while he needed to take the bottom, yet he struggled to figure that out. He threw the stump under the pipe recklessly. And instead of wondering why there's a bomb up top near the end and what he could use it for, he instantly goes for the least obvious thing. Honestly though, it feels like Ryu's play has gotten significantly dumber ever since MM1 shut down. Basically like part of his brain also shut down along with it or something.
19:27 What's the point of anything? A few minutes ago, what's the point of life? Philosophy stream indeed. At least we know : for us life is just watching Ryu videos. But for Ryu himself? You've got four hours.
You gotta add more "dead air" at the end of your videos to let me click something before RU-vid pulls a RU-vid and starts YouTubing everywhere lol. Please?
When I was younger I was often annoyed with youtubers putting outros at the end of their videos. Nowadays I use the "watch later" playlist a lot more and damn am I glad when a video has an outro so I have time to pause and click like or read the comments. So yeah, absolutely agree.
No, Super Mario 2 is absolute trash. It's genuinely rated as one of the worst Mario games ever made. Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 are the ones that the majority think are the best. I also think those 2 are the best.
I have to laugh cause that reminded me of theres something about Super Metroid where at the end when Samus gets the rainbiw beam of de*th and the clip "I'M GONNA LiVE FIREVER" plays.
I would prefer a mix of playing 1-2 levels uncleared levels at the beginning and afterward a 30 level super expert run (which are shorter on SMM2). I sometimes miss the excitement without any super expert run. :)
"Lava Lift" is actually the official name for the skull coaster. I didn't think anyone ever called it that, but that's why the level is called Fast Lava Lift
