Don't think of it as more searches means more important, some things just get searched for more. Celebrities have new news and gossip daily, sports teams have matches often, TV shows have new episodes come out. Religion, science, countries and the like don't need to be kept up on. Once you have the information, you should be set.

i believe the reason cancer is lower searched is because most people look up a specific type of cancer. like breast cancer is a more common one and has a month dedicated to it. so its probably more searched than just "cancer"
