You nearly freezing to death is giving me flashbacks to my hatred aspect of the game. So often I'm running through some trees cold, just to touch the beech for a second and hear that noise indicating I'm burning hot. Jump in the water, cool off, exit the water - instant over heat. Take 4 steps towards that mountain next to the beach.. freezing
I always found it funny that the "trike" was so good at collecting berries large quantities of berries. The beaked mouth like those on ceratopsids is designed specifically to carefully pick through foliage and gather very specific foods, as opposed to the wider, flatter mouth of hadrosaurs like the "parasaur" which is designed for more of the "eat everything in front of my face" approach. Always found it interresting they did that backwards, but I guess it's for game balance rather than realism.
If it works the same as in the first game, tranq arrows apply torp based on how much damage is done with an additional DoT over the next ~10-15 seconds. The best way to use them on most potential tames is to go for a headshot for the bonus damage and wait ~8 seconds before firing another shot. *EDIT It's actually only 4 seconds for the DoT so you don't need to wait as long between shots. Technically you don't have to wait at all since the DoTs stack but it's more efficient to wait a few seconds between shots since you may not need to fire another arrow to knock the target out.
@@DirectorOfTime Huh, I looked it up on the wiki and it seems you're right. I coulda sworn it was 10 seconds but maybe I was thinking of tactics for taming some of the easier to accidentally kill targets. At least the rest of it is right.
idunno if anyone commented this but the Red heart icon is for a charge attack on trikes or enforcers, it shows how fully charged their charge attack is, the more full the heart is more damage they will do when hitting things with said charge.
The fiber grind is real. Glad to see you in ARK again, i just wish all the dumb stuff and controversy would go away, its tarnishing my favorite franchise. I support players and content creators.
Z, there's another streamer that I watch who's also playing ASA. He ran into issues on a Beach where he was burning up during the day (55 deg C) and freezing at night (below zero). So he expects that there will be patches that tweak weather, as it seems to be too much into the extremes... He tried going into the water and the temp did drop, but only to 47 deg C, which was not enough. He first encountered the issue when he went into the Jungle, off the beach, and started to hit those extreme temps.

the heart icon on rhinos and trikes it shows how fully charged their charge attack is; the more charged, the more full the more damage they will do when hitting things with said charge. On a giga, it acts as a rage meter, so when it fills up the giga will rage, kick off it's rider and kill anything within sight until it calms down again.
Yeah Since I'm currently waiting a few weeks for the crazyness to pass a little bit I would love to see a settings video since I'm waiting to get my server until then 2.
Just started watching, but it was painful to see him try to get stones with the pickaxe...that gets u flint, but for stone, if I remember correctly, you need the normal axe, if it's the same as ark survival evolved. Otherwise, I can't wait to see the game play, especially since with my setup I have no hope of running the game 😢
Most definitely should have tame that baby mosh chops It would have been a lot better than the trike because the mosh chops would have been able to allow you to collect fiber bulk fiber with berries, at least that's what it does in regular ark evolved
I've always been honest and accepted when I'm wrong so when I first heard about Ark getting "remastered" I was a bit sceptical about it but watching you and a few other ytbuers play SA I can see the difference. Ark is definitely top 5 of my all time favorite games, I love building soo much I made a Green Lantern base on a ps server lol watching all this gets me both excited and sad cause when it comes out on console I'm probably gonna buy it but I know including DLC it's gonna cost 😩
Never played the original arc. Is this just a remastered version of the first game but with a new map? If so this loosk like fun. Ill have to look up how it runs on PS5 since it sounds like you need a really good PC to run it
from what i understand it's old ARK REMAKE... so map should be the same just remade and improved... It's made on Unreal Engine 5... it's built from the ground up It's kinda made for PS5 because it has Lumen from UE5 which means Raytraced or Pathtraced idk Global Illumination... that's why it looks this amazing lol
I'd put that into bad (or lack of) communication from Wildcard, they actually released the dedicated server files on steam two days ago, anyone can host now. Not a big fan of the commercial licence exclusive to one provider, but at least you can have a personal/community server if you know how to manage a server.
I would but im not buying a new laptop just to have a ssd for a game that had improvmentsbthat i can get for free without a ssd by playing any other survival gqme like oh dynamic ock breaking umm conan has had that doe years better ai i can mod that into skyrim a game made on a decade old game engine The ssd requirments are purely down to over lushing graphics a downeards spiral in gaming that will keep pushing technology causing a rapid increase in how often you have replace parts for computers as it speeds up how fast tech becomes out dated
44$ for the same game with a visual reskin... Almost every other game upgraded to UE5 for free. Screw Snail games. this is what happens when you allow greedy Chinese companies to buy game rights. I refuse to buy this on principal and I got 2-3k hours in ASE. Ark 2 looks trash aswell. Sadly some good devs dedicated thousands of hours to making ASE, ASA, and Ark 2 a great game. All ruined by a greedy. cheating. and hypocritical Chinese company.

Btw that cove as always been there i had my sea creatures in there while i built on beaver island at the mouth of the river with the arch which i turned into my roost with my air peg pteras on one side and my arg-ex haulers on the other. That was until wyvern were introduced than they took over the roles of my argy and pteras. Given that the place you are is or was sarco ally i'm surprised its empty of life. Maybe the game needs a restart or wipe all and see what spawns.
Bro you seriously need to talk much slower. Unless your profession is as a speed talker you don’t need to speak that fast. It is really annoying and I couldn’t watch more than ten minutes. I’m sure your throngs of followers would disagree but you may want to consider it going forward.

I don't think if you have heard about this game but I think it needs some love and I think you would enjoy it it's called Saelig If I remember it was 1 person who made it from the beginning.
