Skooch the fact i dont ring the bell is because i dont want to be spammped with notifications i already have 30 opened youtube tabs of new videos i havent watched i always open up subscribes and scroll to my last seen video to open the new ones from there.
Adc, healing, and mobility combat. These were the ingredients of perfect champ, but professor riot accidently added an extra ingredient to the concoction. 200 years! Thus Nilah was born
ADC went from high skilled role that needs a lot of awareness , good kiting , good positioning , spacing etc to a role that can be considered more brain dead than master yi at some times . Good job Riot ! Balancing the game and releasing new champs around low elo trashcans cuz they complain about something that is clearly a lack of knowledge/skill issue than a "champs is too broken/weak" issue .
@@overpoweredjelly3513 That depends on the champ tbh. Plenty of adcs still require kiting, positioning, high micro performance in order to succeed. But the newer adcs? Nah. Maybe it takes until lvl 6 to unlock all the abilities, but those skills aren't necessary on these self healing, high mobility ones.
I remember I got on the week Nilah came out and hadn’t played league in a month and I asked what does this character do? My friend goes “remember how everyone said Samira is just Dante?” Yeah? “She’s Vergil”
Skooch you forgot about her secret passive, even though she effectively has more range than some ranged champions she's still considered melee abd doesn't suffer from the ranged nerf on some items
Hey fun fact about Nilah’s healing passive. It procs from the ocean dragon’s heal. So if you have ocean dragon and you just stand near people, you’ll both gain even more bonus healing
imagine using what's clearly not intended as evidence that she's overpowered. the passive text clearly says "whenever a nearby allied champion uses an ability." ocean drag is very clearly not an ability.
@@conscripthornet4430 nice argument. get back to me when you find any authority on league who earnestly takes obviously unintended behavior into consideration when evaluating champion balance. edit: and before you say the commenter wasn't using it to say that nilah is broken, you might be right, but i think it's more than reasonable to think that other readers will take it otherwise. sure, they might geniunely think it's a fun fact, but it's also likely that it's phrased that way to spark outrage. either way, it's easy to see this being one of the things people will echo ad infinitum to complain about nilah.
The fact that a 23 minute video made me understand Nilah's abilities better than...reading and playing with Nilah's abilities says a lot about either me or Riot's champ design rn
I feel like the start of '200 years' was around Camille's release. Maybe Kled but that's a tougher sell. Kled's remount mechanic was borderline game-breaking but they also broke his kneecaps with his W triggering automatically and his dash not going over terrain so you had plenty of counter-play. Then Camille came along and had healing, 1000+ true damage on a single digit second cooldown, insane mobility, Jarvin ult but better, etc. She was probably the first true instance of a '200 years' champion that was so comically overloaded that anyone with a brain could point it out.
For Kled's passive to be any kind of useful, you still have to be good at whittling enemies down before you get dismounted, or learning to pick a shot to go in after they've used up their abilities so you don't get nuked. It takes a lot of skill and know-how to use Kled's passive effectively, rather than a more mobile Karthas passive.
I think the main issue is that 200 years can produce characters that just have simple enough kits and have some complexity on the back end. Gwen, Viego and Nilah are all 200 years as hell but are far more readable and fair in what they do than stuff like the Azir shuffle or Lee getting his infinite mobility ward hops. Mostly though fuck Seraphine for being both boring and a literal return of old 'my whole team stat checks you' Sona.
@@katacutie What about Nilah is complicated? You dash to enemies, hit them with Q and basic attack to win because all of your stats are by default higher
To me Nilah has the same problem as Akshan, you can take out 90% of their kit and their playing style and kit is basically the same. Here is my new Nilah: Passive: Whenever Nilah casts an ability her next two auto attack gain bonus range and heals her Q: Skillshot W: For the next few seconds Nilah and allies in the shroud take reduced damage from auto attacks E: Is fine R: Nilah pulls in all enemies around her, dealing damage and healing her for each champion hit
it's the same with enchanters though. P - some form of utility or damage that requires other players to proc. Q - some form of cc. W - some form of buff. E - always a shield. R - utility aoe.
I said this when she dropped (might even be able to find my comment on SkinSpotlights' video): If you remove the last part of her kit from each ability she sounds like a champion released from an older time. That would removed the XP part of her passive, the growth attached to crit chance on her Q, the transferring to Allies on her W, the q cast on her E, and the healing on her ult.
True, but I wonder if people realize how busted older champs were. Zilean, Janna, and TF's passives applied to the entire team at all times. Taric's old kit was a point and click stun and Auras (the Armor Shred wasn't added until S4) meaning you could build a Runic Bulwark and give your team like 40 free Armor, 20 MR, and then Ult to give them a huge AD (or was it AP) boost. Not to mention old AP Yi (which was actually countered pretty easy with a Banshee's veil when it was built out of catalyst) What I kinda like about all these complex champs is that they have a lot of "dials" to tune them instead of them being insanely strong by being a stat stick or completely useless because there's no depth. But we can pull it back a bit. Maybe like the Samira/Aphelios days.
@@TheDancerMacabre jesus, at least you need practice with Aphelios to get his ability right, Nilah just go in and Wip your ass, heal and wip the rest of your team to submission.
Funnily enough, the XP part of her passive is reminiscent from the Mordekaiser rework in the Juggernaut patch, but it was just for himself (his W made so he gained solo XP in a duo lane). That was a goddamn NIGHTMARE, Mordekaiser became a monstrosity and had to be nerfed into oblivion in order to fix the meta (and botlane).
@@TheDancerMacabre you are playing a game where u press 4 buttons ( mainly) and click mouse around so I would prefer stat sticks over champions who make me think that even after trying so hard we lost because they had a better champ with better abilities
I can't believe Skooch talked about how similar Nilah and Samira are and failed to mention that they are also designed by the same designer. He legit got payed to make the same character 2 times. Edit: The designer is Blake 'Squad5' Smith for those curious
6:03 you’re confusing overloaded with overtuned. Overtuned is just a champion which has too high stats, but clear weaknesses, look at Sett on release, he wasn’t overloaded just overtuned. Overloaded means that they have too many tools in their kit.
@@decidueyezealot8611 Yes, he's saying Nilah is overloaded, we get that. He's right. But he's using the word overtuned, which is different and the original point.
Appreciate it Skooch. Everytime I consider playing League again, all I have to do is see how you feel about current release. You're a very positive guy, so to see how baffled you are at the state of the game is all I need to see how little things have changed.
literally me i was JUST thinking about maybe possibly trying league again after a several year gap, and then i watched this video and.. yea.. nope. bad idea, not doing that
Seriously, I've not played in years, saw this video on my feed, and thought, "How bad can it be?" I knew there would come a point where there are just too many champions and Riot no longer has any ideas for champion mechanics that no one else has, and I'd say they're long past that point.
@@headhunter21711 The sad thing is that there's a ton of low hanging fruit that they could use. A singular example is a circular skillshot that crits if you hit someone at the tip of it (like that Troll Headhunter from HotS)
I miss the days when we thought braums shield blocking projectiles was the most broken thing at the time. Hope riot sees this video and takes some tips from ya skooch
I was a fed yi vs a even more fed nilah, standing there autoing her but she was still healing for a solid 10 seconds before her teammate came and killed me. She wasn’t even attempting to kite we were just standing there autoing
I love how skoochs hair is just a time stamp for everything goin on behind the scenes. Thank you for putting in so much time and effort into making awesome content broski
I understand the idea behind the whole exp/healing/shield thing. Really. It's abundantly clear they wanted to make up for the fact that Nilah, being melee, should in theory get harassed off the wave very easily by carries with mid/high range. Except they also gave her two dashes. And Jax E. Why. Why does she get both at the same time? Get rid of the W and she is so much better to play against. Why did they give her mobility and dodge in the lane where most champs are using AA?
It's because she's matching AA champion, it wouldn't make sense to give her this spell against mages. Also, Nilah is so bad that it's not an issue at all.
The reason why they gave her so much passive is because 1. She's melee adc, so if she doesnt have all these stuff then it's better to pick traditional adc instead. Otherwise she gets shit on in lane without her range on Q and W protect. Even though her mobility skill can be used 2 times, its range is abysmal and it's a worse Samira dash. 2. She needs to be able to compete against Yasuo/Yone as a crit melee alternative. The brothers have innate x2 crit chance which let's them reach their powerspike after 2 items. Nilah still only has 40%crit after 2 items so obviously all these 200years passives needs to be there to make up for it. 3. All her numbers are heavily nerfed a couple of times. She needs to reach 2/3 items before her damage is significant again. I would say she's still strong now but not 200years broken like Zeri at the moment.
@@MrFoodMan66 Zeri 46%. Udyr 45%. Yasuo 48%. Win rate doesn't say shit about champions. Nilah is completely useless no matter what you say. She's a weaker Yasuo, weaker than her original character Samira. Everytime she's been tried in proplay, she ended up being completely useless aswell. So yeah, garbage.
Nilah basically got a bunch of abilities, that were removed from the game because they were too strong, she has Jaxs old dodge(her W), and Mordekaisers increased XP when duoing.
I didn't even know about all that healing and Ult damage until I watched this video. While listening to Skooch talk about her abilities I decided to think about how my main champion can beat her. After careful consideration. I came to the conclusion that it's either I take her down instantly while they can't see me or lose instantaneously. I play Darius btw. I'm glad I subscribed!
someone literally said “i wish i could play a melee in bot. but they’re missing- and then made a champ to completely circumvent every problem they could think of
Nilah with LDR, Shieldbow, Bloodthirster and 2 other crit items ends up having 53% armor pen and 40% lifesteal against champions. Remember how Riot nerfed anti heal into the ground before Belveth released? So now we got 2 champions back to back with built in healing and built in damage reduction.
Which is why both are a pain in fights. Giving them an unfair advantage by default is basically a cheap trick to get people to play your champion. Not because they want to, but because it is logical.
Ok, I think I found a reliable formula to calculate the number of years of experience a champion has: Number of years of a certain champion = N(champion) Seconds of the Can We Talk About This video for a certain champion - Seconds dedicated to ads and end segment = S(champion) Skooch Ratio = 200 years/S(Aphelios) = 0.4132 (= R) N(champion) = S(champion)*R For Nilah here, the formula writes as following: S(Nilah) = 1269 (if I counted correctly) R = 0.4132 N(Nilah) = 524.38 years of experience, or: 524 years, 4 months, 18 days (17 if the year is a leap one), 16 hours and 48 minutes of experience. That's a lot to pour into a champ that only has a 1.4% presence in proplay.
Her wr is not that good in pro play, they’ll prbbly buff her for upcoming worlds. There should be no way she gets nerfed while being so dogshit in proplay (coz who tf gives a shit abt mere mortals)
Feels like before when i watch Can we talk about this, I already knew what these champions can do and i’m just listening to Skooch make jokes and have fun. Nowadays, it feels like Skooch is doing a much better version of the champion spotlights because i learn more about these champions here.
You are right but just a bigger yumi prob. You are suposed to put heal cut on both champs sup heals less 1/2 adc heals less 1/2 = 1/4 healing yumi makes healing 1/2. try shield cut and cry when you are not a one shot 1.5 sec use all abilities mage or an assassin because of items. it is still lose lose
This gets me so excited! These CWTAT videos are what got me into playing league and got me interested in a lot of the characters when I used to just one trick ahri 😂 Twas my favourite videos to passively watch on a drive to school or work and pretty much never got bored of it simply because your commentary is hilarious and voice is as calming as playing Yuumi and only pressing E the whole game :3
Same. Got out of it because of how stressed it was making me feel despite 'just being a game', but after I quit it was that and me just disliking the direction they were going. Watching Skooch just confirms the 2nd part.
IMO, It seems like the designers were making an support but then last second, she got turned into an ADC. I mean, Healing and shielding buffs for herself and her ally, an xp buff (Which the only 2 characters who have xp buffs are both supports, being Zilean passive and Bard chimes) a movespeed dodge which can be gifted to allies, and an ultimate that has a shit ton of healing/shielding thats then again buffed. The only reason she shouldn't be play as a support is her Q, which scales with crit so hard, it makes Charles F. Richter look like a novice. if riot elongated her q, got rid of her crit passives and replaced them with support passives, she would be a fun high mobility support, kinda like Rakan.
Maybe I'm just hardstuck Silver, but I honestly can't remember the last time I played against a Nilah outside of ARAM, and none of the times I've faced off against her was she remotely as strong as this level of complaining seems to indicate. She was permabanned or picked for he release, for sure, but then it was right back to Ashe, MF, Sivir, and Draven.
she got a fuck ton of nerfs and then sivir came out and made everyone forget quickly but this video still works if you listen into it mostly on how ass the design is even after her numbers got cut enough to make her like normal
The funny thing about this is that Nilah has the same range as Urgot, but Urgot is considered a ranged champion so he gets less stats from the items he has to build
Don't forget, her Star Guardian in the lore is literally a DBZ goddess with her own planet island, being sent to train the noobs, and how perfect she is that Ashlesh could destroy her at any moment except she's always Mary Sue joyful. They're not even trying to hide agendas anymore, be it "we hear you but we don't think our champs are overloaded on the whole" to "200 years" to "girl boss power" to anything. Additional fun fact, she was released with the SG skin (for those in the future). So in canon she's a perfect OP smiling face and oh how tragic has to always feel joy and it's wearing her down from all the joy, to Beerus in a sailor scout outfit making Ekko play video games. That's who she is until her next skin comes out, which is almost as egregious as Seraphine releasing with an ultimate skin.
I quit league two seasons ago because of overloaded champions. These videos continue to remind me that I have made the right choice in life. Thank you Skooch.
Scooch, you make me feel justified to play Azir. I want to thank you good sir. All hail our bird overlord. Also I gotta say I love the content. You offer me such refreshing laughter after a hard day's work, love ye man.
i feel like a genuine problem league is starting to run into is that while the champions are getting stronger many other core things about the game is changing. some people may think that the champions are the only real things that matter but things like the distance between lanes and stuff does play a major part in the balance of the game. as the champions get stronger and can move better power creep becomes an issue, but i feel like the champion strength can start to overflow, and as soon as champions truly outdo the maps and levels the game is taking place on, and if the actual battleground cant appropriately match the champions then i think it becomes detrimental to the game and how it feels to actually play the core gameplay loop. whether or not you believe league reached this point a long time ago or if its still a mile from this stage is very much up to interpretation, but I think the gameplay has begun to suffer (it has certainly changed) because of this
Taking about movement, I had a game where my talon mid went into the river bush bot, I pinged missing, and before the question mark disappeared his blades came dashing out of the dragon pit hitting the support... it was at that moment, that I realized this game has been suffering from mobility creep for a long time now
Also items. They've streamlined the items to hell and now it's basically a bunch of knives and books that enable some standard combo for a champion and such. There's very little skill expression when it comes to how you build your character, since if you don't follow the strict meta builds you just have an objectively worse champ.
Its so wild that champions like Akshan, Vex, Zeri, Yone, Kayn, Nilah, Nunu, Galio, Rakan, and Bel'Veth share the same map as Annie, Singed, Blitzcrank, Sivir, Cho'Gath, Kog'Maw, Illaoi, Ivern, Anivia, Heimerdinger, Teemo, and Zilean.
@@RaxorX Bro most champs are considered ridiculous when coming out. I remember Riven: OMG THREE dAsHES and ATTACKS! Talon: OMG a TARGETED BLINK SILENCE !?!?!? Aatrox: OMG A Revive!?!?? Lillia: WTF her movement speed + entire enemy team sleep!?!?! Riot just does things to get reactions at his point tbh lol. its actually kind of BAD if a champion isn't considered ridiculous at launch. They normally arent played/are forgotten immediately. (rell, neeko, vex) > not 'bad' champs. But rarely seen or picked over other options cause they don't offer much 'new' or 'wow' factor. Whether this is a good design philosophy to design your game on is subjective so idunno. Leagues been one of the most popular games in the world for years now so I guess they're doing something right. I kinda want the game to die tbh just so something new can take the world... its been so long lol. Like 10+ years of League domination.
I have been playing since season 1 and there have been very few releases since then where the majority of opinions weren't "omg this new champion will be broken, what is Riot thinking, delete it before it even comes out". The only new thing is the "200 years" meme, and Riot growing a bit desperate to make their champions stand out, but the response hasn't changed much.
WOOOO SCOOOCH!!, well done my man, im glad you found your feet again, hope the new stuff takes off like a fuckin rocket to mars Many hearts dude, all the best to ya
Nilah being described as Lucian with 32 lines of bonus text is the most accurate description possible This video perfectly explains all the problems about new champion design so well I have nothing to contribute in comment
19:48 Ult, Marks enemies with Splash when damaging them with the circle. Splash: every second Attack, causes an explosion around the target, Dealing Magic Damage, Slowing targets and Increased healing for her. Any heal she gains from splash is distributed throughout her nearby allies.
That 400% bonus AD is kinda crazy. Thresh's passive on his E that makes the whole "AD Thresh" meme work allows up to 200% of his bonus AD when you wait 4s between AAs.
On one hand you're right, going against a healing team with nothing to counter the healing feels awful. On the other though running a healing team (or even a single healing champ) with grievous wounds being as powerful as they have been in the past also feels awful. Having one item just counter someone like Mundo is a bad design choice.
@@enneidrarose9645 Ya, but we've seen for over a decade how well Riot is with balancing. I completely get how much of an issue healing can be. Back when I played, if you didn't have grievous wounds Mundo and Sona would just win the game by the sheer power of their healing. If you did have it though (and it was only 1 or 2 items across the whole team) they would become significantly weaker by Mundo just not being able to do anything and Sona just becoming a ult bot. TBH I'm a little biased because those were my chosen top and support at the time, but I understand that there needs to be a way so that healing isn't overbearing. They already tried that by gutting support healing by making them mostly shields.
the thing is riot is so worried about champs getting played in off meta roles that they give nilah a ridiculous amount of perks to playing in bot lane (shared xp, shared shiedling, bonus benefits from building crit chance) that the “motivation” to playing nilah bot instead of something like mid or top ends up being way too broken
For every other game its usually "yoo this new champ is so cool", for league it should be "yoo this new champ is so cool" but it usually is "okay so how do we cope with this new champion basically outdoing every other champion by default"
6:08 I call those champs "cool shit" champs, because you see all of them have some sort of crazy ability that does 50 things because someone at riot thought "that's some cool shit", but the problem is, when they then get an idea for another cool shit ability they implement it too on top of that. Can't let the cool neat idea for an ability go to waste, right? Then you get champs with sustainability and survivability that do crazy damage have huge range and are also mobile and probably get shields too.
I dunno if you're reading this, but it's very happy that your video was finally recommended just a few hours of being released. Thank you Skooch for putting so much effort and time to put this awesome video together!
Loved the vid skooch!! YOU FORGOT SOMETHING THO! Since NIlah is coded as a melee champion, she also gets all the melee bonuses on different items and runes!! That means Death's dance is melee, grasp is melee, titanic is melee, it's all melee!! meanwhile if she takes lethal tempo, she may only get the melee bonus for range, but with her extended range it's almost as long (if not AS long) as a marksman's attack range! once again loved the vid, cant wait to see more!
its 475 and 525 with LT stacked. Samira, Sivir, Lucian, Draven and so on have 500 Range. The difference between 475 range and 500 range is entirely negligible if you ask me, especially when you get the better efficiency items. Like, on Aphelios, my beloved main, I totally wouldnt mind to give up 25 range for the better LT, better Conq, better Deaths Dance and what not
Conq is different from things like deaths dance tho, you’re still getting *basically* the same benefit, while with dd and grasp you’re getting a LOT bigger benefits
Hey Skooch, I feel like I haven't been seeing as many of your videos lately, even though I'm subscribed and have definitely rang the bell! I'm glad that the one I did finally see happened to be a banger as usual. I can't wait to see your larger projects hit the RU-vids! I bet they're gonna be great! Much love and blessings, my guy :)
Every time i feel like going back to playing league i just need to watch one of your videos to be convinced otherwise. How useful these vids are can not be understated.
I remember a friend of mine saying when Samira was released to our underfed Samira friend. "Dude you're a new champ. Just be broken." Before he started to get a Pentakill. It's things like these that makes me happy I quitted this game a week after she released.
Would be better if Zeri needs to reload just to make her more of a gunner and make her dash faster but no longer go through walls. And for Nilah Just make her a support and give her the Akali treatment.
I remembered when they reworked a buncha champs because they gave free stats. I remember that riot explicitly stated passives that give free stats are "bad".
I think this video hits the nails. I also recommend the take from Vars. Basically Riot wanted to make a mele ADC without the weaknesses of a mele character because they wanted to push it to the botlane, and how the solved the problem was by giving her free gateaways to compensate for her weakeness, thus a monster was born.
cause she can be countered pretty easy cait senna velkoz really anything that can poke insanely makes it unplayable for her and i guess people dont find her fun really she got like a 4% playrate pretty low
@@kaimetsu4546 So people complain that she gets too many tools to compensate for her weaknesses, but she still sees no play because of those weaknesses ? What a shitshow.
Skooch you are de boom but no seriously you are maybe the funniest and most light hearted league Chanel thanks for being loyal to league and giving us great content
I think Zoe was the turning point when new champ releases started becoming dreaded. The last new champ release that I liked was probably Xayah and Rakan
Skooch, you are my shining star in the middle of the darkness in this world, you are amazing keep the work up, don't give up and most importantly don't forget to chill with rammus and inspire more people. Have a great day :)
The similarities between her and Samira seem very intentional, and at a glance her base kit seems very fitting for a melee ADC; You are gonna take a lot of poke, so sharing heals and shields makes sense. You need some way to poke or grab minions from afar, so a ranged skillshot makes sense. A dash to close the gap and a defensive ability all help a melee ADC too. The two main problems with Nilah, for me, are: - Too many bells and whistles - Samira already fills this niche Nilah's problems stem from each ability granting way too much utility and stats for simply existing. Like a lot of champions, half her kit could be removed and it'd be fine. The fact she plays similar to Samira is also problematic, because now you sacrifice a ranged neutral game for a melee one in a ranged lane, making Nilah more polarizing. Samira can farm safely in a bad matchup; Nilah cannot. To combat this, Riot needed to make her crazy strong in order to not fall behind hard. Her abilities and such are fine, but as you said, she's only a good addition if you forget about Samira. Bel' Veth was pretty dissapointing, and Nilah feels like a modded champion. At least Udyr's rework proves that Riot still has some really smart people working behind the scenes.
Lets be honest here the only reason I look forward to a champ being released is so that I can watch the newest Can We Talk About This? video that I know will show up eventually. Keep up the awesome videos, Skooch!
Honestly I'm glad you talked about her, and everything you mention is how I feel about her, she could have been a perfectly fine champion, but they just add more and more things for no reason. As an adc player I ban other champions because how overturned they are, and pray she isn't picked. I hope on day riot stops trying to make every new character with a overturned kit, and just take a step back and release new champions with simple, not overturned kits and numbers, or rework older champions that are falling behind because of the decisions they took on the way the game is suppose to be.
@@lombre4453 bro, I'm a twitch main, and twitch only has his autos, he can't do shit against her, plus her win rate is super high rn, how are you thinking she's weak with her kit when she has so much unnecessary stuff on it.
@@killzonearmed Nilah can't win any lane. She has to duo with an enchanter to make use of her passive. And played with a mage/engage support, she only has the exp part enabled. Also, the answer might be that you are a Twitch main. For example, you wouldn't ask why Nasus is losing to Darius. It doesn't mean Darius is broken, you're picking up a bad matchup. Nilah is heavily countered by engage champion, and I don't even think Twitch have a hard time dealing with her in lane. Keep in mind ADC aren't the only possibility bot. You're expected to have a wider champion pool to match your opponent. If you always pick the same champion, there are a lot of matchups impossible to win due to your champion naturally losing.
It's getting to the point they're going to have to include additional bans, because you can pick one champion that is annoying in lane, and your opponent will just pick the better version of said champion. E.G: Ban Yasuo in Mid and Yone will be picked (if say said Yone player baned Zed). Or you ban Naut because the enemy ADC chose Samira, but then you have to contend with say a Thresh, Blitz or Pyke support pick. it's getting a little rediculous now. :-/
Technically, she is over loaded......like absurdly over loaded. However, every match i have played in or watched she ends up getting stomped. She is forced to build crit to fully take advantage of her kit as everything that scales off of crit starts at 0% and slowly goes up. She can get busted down REALLY fast. Don't get me wrong in the right hands she is a monster, but so are many other champs with less than half the things she does. So overturned, not really, overloaded OH FUCKING HELL YEAH. What you are talking about here with exasperation is overloaded with SOME high scaling, but her numbers and area cannot deal with many champs since her whole design is to fight ADC. Bruisers mess her day up because she is so damned squishie to be able to use her whole kit. She was designed with a high skill floor and ceiling in mind.... Don't get me wrong fuck her to high heaven with some of the dumb shit that is just shoved in her kit just because like the exp thing. Half of her kit could disappear and she would still have more crap she does than any other champ on the roster.
At the end of the day she's just like crit Jax if you're fed enough it's a transitional skill if you're used to building that path but suffers from melee syndrome where he range is too short and can be easily kited by marksman with better range than her like Cait, Draven or sivir
@@narutoedw1n Not disagreeing with that, but she is a hyper focused build path. If you deviate at all she lose some of her built in power. Meaning she almost is one dimensional build which goes against the grain of all item concept since the new item metric. She is a balance nightmare and overloaded. She is not, however, overtuned. The reason is she gets dunked on in low ego play BECAUSE of her high skill floor and ceiling. Her numbers over all a weak, and they have to be because she has so many things in her kit. She is a squishie Jax, and I said that in the beginning with my friends and other comments on other videos pre release. I saw the Samira stuff and more. She is problem champ with cool lore. Unlike seraphine who was hated for her introduction via social media and lackluster lore, but ok kit (that actually is closer to neeko and karma than sona contrary to what people insisted for so long). So don't get me wrong, I hate her but not because she is over powered (except on launch day holy shit that was a nightmare for a little bit) she is just stupidly overloaded. She has a little of everything and what Skooch is saying is correct, minus the wrong term her. Vars made a good distinction between what overloaded and overtuned are. Overtuned is about numbers being too high, but overtuned can be fixed because it is just number adjustments. Overloaded is how many features a champ has. Take for instance Bel' Veth, a champ I actually love to play but agree her ult is overloaded and still many of her numbers are overtuned. Overall Bel'Veth is an overtuned champ, but not overloaded. Each ability (besides her ult Jesus christ the text in it) is relatively simple in nature. So yeah, Nilah is gonna need to get many features removed than an slight increase in some of the numbers to compensate. What and where, fuck if I know I am just a dumb commenter on RU-vid that has played LoL since 2011 (or whenever wrong came out), not some dev who actually does any work on the game.
I remember a time when I genuinely didn't know who to ban, not because I didn't have any game knowledge but because there wasn't a particular character who I felt had an unfair advantage that didn't have an answer against it. The first champion release I saw was Jinx, the last one I saw before I quit was Yuumi. Every champion release I've seen since has just confirmed that I cannot play the League I loved back in the season 6, that League is dead. The new League just does not seem like fun. If you see the new champion in champion select and know you're going to have a bad time then why the hell are you even playing anymore?
