The one time I picked Udyr recently, I built most of the movement speed items. I constantly pushed top lane. As soon as someone answered, I left, sat in a bush, and as soon as they left, I went back to shoving top in. My team was pretty bad, and we should have lost way sooner, but my constant pressure in top lane made it so the enemies really couldn't ever push to win, until they hunted me down as a 5 man and spread out enough to cut off my escape. I turned a 25 minute game into a 45 minute game. Everyone was miserable. It was amazing!

And now he is meta in pro play...

Viego passive: can posses an enemy champ after they die, getting a certain amount of healing as well as being able to use their basic abilities and their own passive for a short time. Udyr passive: he goes faster when he switches stances.

As an udyr main I loved the vid. My 2 cents about the champ, aside from the indisputable fact that he is a relic is as follows: The reason udyr manages to be relevant can be observed if you try to evaluate jungle cocepts say from 0 to 100... Some of them look similar to this: 1) jungle clear - 95 2) dueling in jungle before 4 - 95 (extremely high base stats making him very hard to 1v1) 3) ganking - 65 4.1) split push clear - 70 4.2) split push turret dmg - 65 4.3) split push retreat avoid dying due to flank - 85 5) teamfighting 40 6) backdooring 40 This are my evaluation based on my limited experience. It seems to me that jack of all trades master of none is not so accurate as most ppl think. He is more like jack of all trades semi-master of some... Which puts him above average pick for your average game on your average elo.

im an udyr main and i pretty much agree with you, the only thing that keeps me playing udyr is u could make any items or pretty much anything work with udyr as long as u know what you are doing,

Thankfully, Udyr is now stupidly broken as of right now. Out ganks, out clears, out speeds, out sustains, and pretty much beats any other jungler in the game because of his W. I love him so much now; it’s super fun playing him.

Again, wild coming to this three months later, where every Udyr I've ever faced griefs by stunning you, running circles around you, then one-shotting you.

AS AN UDYR MAIN I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THIS VIDEO IS 100% correct

The matches where you play Udyr and everything goes right feel amazing. You're not gated by ultimate cooldowns... or really any cooldowns for that matter because all your stances are low CD. But those are few and far between.

I a recent game I had an Udyr in my Team who (except for starting items) did a challenge of only buying items when he dies. He ended up with 0 deaths in the game, having carried our team through extreme powerganks without a single bloody item. Needless to say, I have respect of Udyr now.

The moment she enters in Nasus' range if effect, she's slowed to death and gets one shot by the dog. Braindead champions are meant to give bad players a sensation of accomplishment when they manage to get kills. They have little counterplay but good players can make use of this counterplay, this coupled with the fact that braindead champions are boring, it's pretty normal they have low pickrate

I fucking love Udyr. Just going airplane mode and soaring inside a person's ass after activating chempunk, ghost, chilling smite and your E is fun as fuck. Being a general dick and getting out of that situation with 6 hp just tickle my pickle.

Bronze theory crafting: Attack Speed Darius. The build is well, full AS like BotRK, static shiv, etc.... The main point behind this build is that with high AS, you can stack his passive easily and therefore more dunks and therefore more happiness.

I love this guy. There is something so appealing going full tank and running around the map just to stun people and run away. It makes them so tilted when you just run away with 499 ms.

I love going Udyr top, building Trinity Force, BotRK and then full tank (and maybe BC). You deal a lot of damage, tank a lot of damage, and do nothing because you never get to the enemy anyway. Still have a lot of fun.

What people don't realize about the dash items, is that even though they give dashes to characters with them, those dashes are still more effective on characters without dashes. If you get a dash on a character with no dash, that's infinite times more dashes (or doubles if you have flash) If you add a dash to a character with 1 or 2 dashes and flash, that's only 1.5 or 1.25 times more dashes. Also, for immobile characters, one burst movement option is usually all they need to stun lock or one shot you.

As someone who used to main old Udyr, the reasons he was picked was because his clears were fast and healthy, he could solo objectives no issue, his abilities which may seem jank let him stat check and beat down practically everyone early to mid game, and bear stance with his passive let him have immense map pressure by virtue of sprinting around at a consistent 480 or so movement speed. He could sprint to sidelanes, push waves and threaten a split, and run back just in time for a catch or a team fight while the enemy team rotates to answer.

It's funny looking at outdated ablities and how overturned there ratios have to be to keep up with new champs. Like go look at Tristana Q, all of udyrs abilities, sivir Q, twitch E, nasus W, and many others.

ive had lots of fun with udyr q maxing with hail of blades and prowlers claw. it lets you e in, prowlers if you cant connect for the stun, then q for your other 2 hail of blades procs and more or less get 2 procs of the q bonus damage off immediately with the increased dmg given after using prowlers. build ruined king second then do whatever you want depending on the match ups. try it out, you'll thank me later

I feel like udyr fits well because there is so many different wild champions that have a million things, and he is the most BASIC ASS SHIT WITH THAT YEE-YEE-ASS-PETA-UNAPPROVED PELT ON HIS HEAD AND THE SECOND BIGGEST WALKING SIMULATOR AFTER SINGED, that his basic-ness makes him feel unique. And that is kinda amazing tbh.

udyr is a great champ to test your limits as a frontliner no safety net, no dash or some bs, no 200 years ability, just stances if you die it's either your fault or it was a worthy sacrofise

My buddy is a udyr main and I have seen him split push 2 towers and then run through the enemy base with a full 5 man behind him, kill the adc that got overzealous, run them into the jungle steal their farm, and leave it’s a sight to behold.

For someone who plays Udyr since season 9, the canon minion with fire breath is pretty accurate
