@@chairman3427 I don't know but it's just I feel like on-sight it's like a theme song to Kanye has a whole because it starts off with exhilarating distortion and with a bump of his childhood during the middle of the song. Perfection Imo
u know whats crazy? i think i already said this in a stream but daft punk prod. like half of this album, also while they were working on random access memories at the same time. they really pushed the boundaries along with ye for this album
I think your mate is not used to the minimalist style of Kanye and to me, Kanye's minimalist style is truly Phenomenal. ESPECIALLY in the first half of NEW SLAVES, simple beat, simple synth, IN YOUR FACE BARS.
i LIKE yeezus…. but there’s a few songs on there that i just find kinda boring and/or pretty dull, watered down attempts at copying what was hip in the underground at the time ie death grips. not that death grips solo’d that sound or that ye can’t be inspired but i think this project overall just gets overhyped. bound 2, blood on the leaves, hold my liquor, send it up and new slaves all bump, but other than that i think the rest is good at best. i am a god is one of my least fav kanye songs too
I feel like kanye heard death grips, thought it was trash and said "imma use this sound for the bad parts to make a point, and then have my beautiful parts". Thats why i dont like the album, it feels like the industrial parts are mediocre and could have been way better, with good parts inbetween reminding me that he could have made it way better but he didnt to make a point, and even where it feels luke hes trying its still just a poor imitiation of the industrial sound, and im all for trying it out but im not gonna lie to myself and call it good. Overall album is like a 5 out of 10, its got good parts and bad parts so it evens out for an overall dissapointing yet still valuable album.
@@EyesDontCry just trying to start an argument lol you make a good point, I like that its a mix of harsh and beautiful sounds I think it works well together
