As a bi man let me say this: 1) being bi doesn’t mean you can’t be in a monogamous relationship. Andrew Gillian cheated on his wife and that’s trash period. 2) no it’s not homophobic if a woman doesn’t want to date a bi man. That’s her choice and sure it might hurt my feelings and kinda suck, who am I to force her to date me and ignore something that makes her feel some type of way.

I've heard women state that they can't be with a bisexual man because, if he cheats, she "can't compete". The way I see it, if he even cheats with another woman, whatever " competition " there was, the gf/wife LOST. She just wasn't "enough" for him.

A lot of bisexual people do choose to pick a side. Being a bisexual female and dating lesbians I often find myself getting tossed to the side and labeled bicurious by woman because they don't take me serious. Also men often think I'm going to leave them for a woman. It's strange how anti bi the lgbtq+ community is. if I want woman to take me serious which is what I personally prefer more I have to mention the fact that I haven't touched a man in 4 years.

@Mø Nälayé I just hate hearing all this 'transphobic / homophobic' stuff recently. People are being labelled when they aren't speaking or acting with malice, ill will, or an ounce of hate or fear. For example, I'm straight, I have 0 issues with 2 men in a relationship or someone transgendering to become who they feel they are. It's sad that there are people that think it's wrong, and it's an example of why religion is flawed and sometimes foolish. Ben Shapiro on JRE is a good example if you've seen his stance on gay people. He is an "XYZ"-phobic. But as you said, I would be considered ignorant and thus an "XYZ"-phobic if I said the thought of, or the mental imagery of a man buttf**king another man made me say 'ew' to myself. I'm cool with it, but that doesn't matter. But just saying you wouldn't sleep with another man is enough to be labelled as homophobic. Or if I said a trans-woman, if hit on by a guy, should be upfront about the fact they used to physically be a man, instead of sleeping with him and never telling him. But that makes me transphobic because even though they identify as trans I'm not allowed to think of them as anything but a woman. It's these overzealous use of labels that contribute to Joe's anti-SJW followers. Bi-phobic... lol. It's so absurd. Being labelled homophobic for being straight is absurd. "you keep using that word.. As a bi man that is monogamous you have an attraction towards a person whether man or woman and you take that relationship as far as you can take it if it becomes fruitful then that's the case if not then you move on and find somebody else that you are attracted to. I found a lot of women usually talk to me about it but it's more so out of an experience of not dealing with it before and it's something new to them but it never turned off any women

It’s weird, I’m a bisexual dude and I’ve been out for like 4 years. I primarily date women and when we go out on our first date I tell them straight off the bat that I am bisexual and things usually go over smoothly. But maybe it’s because I live on the east coast and in certain circles it’s more accepted but yeah. I have received good and bad reception from the female gender as a whole but I haven’t been shunned from dating women.

A guy that would say they are bisexual just so they don’t have to say that they are gay but I’m not one of them. All my life I have never been able to separate women and men physically, I’ve always been attracted to both and they see that the more they get to know me. Both gays and girls are hesitant at first because they don’t really know how to treat me. Because I’m not flamboyant or girly I’m just a nerdy hipster dude who happens to be bi.

I think that all bi men should live in their truth. Yes a-lot of women are not accepting and perhaps the dating pool becomes alot smaller. It depends. If she liked you and dates you and hell you even get married, but then REFUSES to stay with you because SPECIFICALLY youre bisexual, that is absolutely bigotry. If a white man refuses to date black women specifically because of their race, that would be seen as racism. Just admit it. You're right about one thing though. If a person is nasty enough to reject someone over one little thing despite things originally going smooth, that person isn't for you. Yes, choosing not to date someone because they are black would be considered racist, but I think that it’s mostly prejudice or premature judgement. How can we determine the “value” of another person without giving them a chance to show it to us? They keep talking about being bi and being unfaithful interchangeably. Anyone can be faithful anyone can be unfaithful, but if you break an agreement like that its unacceptable. Being bi is a whole other thing. If you love somebody for who they are and they lobe you for who you are and they faithful to you, that shouldnt matter. As a bisexual, I can say first hand that women tend to be very judgmental and seemingly insecure about bi men when it comes to dating. On dating apps, my match rate with women dropped to near nothing once I listed that I'm bi and I had women on the apps straight up tell me they think I'm gay. I've even had women who were bisexual tell me they weren't comfortable going out with me because I'm bi and had hooked up with more trans women than cis gender women. It's just like yeah, and conversations like this are why. smh.

I'm bi. I've been with my girl for 3 years and will probably marry her. I think if someone is secretly bi then they are more likely to cheat because secrets and infidelity go hand in hand, but if your are open and honest about it there's no difference. I see hot guys and girls all the time and watch bi and gay porn, but id never cheat. I hid my sexuality from my girl to begin with because I was ashamed of it and I assumed she wouldn't want me if she found out. Luckily it doesn't fase her. Bi guys are a lot more common then people think and a lot of the reason they don't come out is that they think their girl won't want them. My advise is that your bi man don't be ashamed and be upfront, it's so much better. Although that is harder said then done.

Being bisexual isn’t necessarily that you equally like men and women. It’s a much broader thing than that - many people who identify as bisexual have a strong preference, and many people include trans and non-binary people. Liking more than one gender doesn’t mean you can’t be faithful, to Andrew’s point. And to Charlamagne’s point, many bisexual people in couples try things like involving more people in their sex life. Each person is different ☺️

I think it’s simple. Cheating is cheating. You can be monogamous regardless of your sexual orientation. Honesty is key, if your woman is ok with you hooking up with guys, that’s your relationship, that’s what works for you two. I think the bi-man-phobia is kinda based on how much competition women feel they are in with other women to start with. As much as people hate it, cheating is so common, every woman has a story. So when your competition is now opened up to multiple fields (men and women), it becomes even more difficult. I think it’s definitely something you need to consider before hand, so you’re prepared no matter how it goes.

:o for me personally, I don’t know if I can accurately describe my knee jerk emotional reaction but I’m a very visual person and if I had a mental picture of my man with another man, especially if he was bottom, It would just automatically kill my sexual attraction. I just wanna say.... the point that Andrew made saying it would take a man with a severely damaged ego to let and or watch his girl get banged by another man... Same goes for girls. It takes a woman with a very damaged ego and or past to watch or let her boyfriend sleep with another girl as well. Wish more people could see that... that's all.
