Look at the original language not just the english version. Also look at the historical context. It was woman who were not saved and worked in temples to false gods but their husbands were saved. It created a lot of friction in the church so ot was best that THESE woman not all woman should remain silent in the church.

If that was what God taught he would never have made Deborah a judge giving her authority over the men of Israel and lead them to battle. If we're to go with Paul's personal opinion than we are saying God made a mistake in picking Deborah. Paul has indicated numerous times especially in Corinthians that he sometimes gives his personal opinion according to his wisdom not that God told him that.

There are many women pastors that lead churches I’m sure they read and studied the Bible Timothy corinthian‘s etc which clearly state a woman is not supposed to lead in a church but women still say God touch their heart and told them to do this ... it’s confusing to me ??? @ silkjade1 teaching people what God tell them to say has nothing to do with leadership over a man. We do what God say to do not man. God speaks to both men and women. Paul never ran from a woman. This isn't the truth it actually contradicts the bible! Read 1 timothy 12-14 it is simple. Paul broke this down in a way you cannot refute it. If anyone tries to refute what it says they want to interpret scripture the way they want it to be! Scripture is designed for us to conform to it not the other way around!

Okay so I'm confused at some of the responses here in the comment section. What I took from the video was showing that women can preach (proclaim) the good news like a man. I'm going to assume he doesn't mean that woman can head a church which seems some are mixing up. There is a difference between generalized preaching and corporate worship. I believe he was talking about the former and not the latter. I agree with him (if this is what he meant).

You are right proclaiming the Good News of our Lord Jesus is the responsibility of every redeemed born again follower of Christ. I'm sure we don't need a major platform for that. However, in the Body of Christ there is order. I'm not understanding why has this become an issue other than, many just want to covet and be the one receiving praise that should go to Christ alone. I think women should minister to women and young ladies....but pastoring a congregation of men ..idk... because women are emotional creatures...I have to ask God to shed light on this for me
Humans are emotional beings... men and women... men just suppress their feelings to seem masculine. Showing emotion is not weakness and does not mean they cannot minister to a specific gender. Wake up, if you have the opportunity to spread Gods word, do it!

Jesus told Paul to teach to the Gentiles not Israel and there was a reason that Paul told an idol worshiping country what he would rather for them to do and not do. Only the Holy Spirit himself can teach a person to understand and not people getting confused about the scripture because some preacher who was filled with the Holy Spirit and stop listening to the spirit teach because his leader said follow my training and then give them false doctrine. The sad thing is that these same preachers preaching in a circle of men carry this same doctrine and then show the scriptures they got confused with. They don’t understand the scripture and you can see their lies with your own eyes if you don’t let the Holy Spirut teach. They will sit and argue with you the same way the deceived women will. Jesus spoke to the people in parables although they were still believers and gave eyes and ears, but can’t see or hear spiritually.

If you go to verse 6 it explains more. Women are not supposed to be preaching. Read and teach properly. 2 Timothy 2:12. The word comes with having a relationship with Jesus. Living His word.

Jesus commissioned the woman at the well to preach the gospel to her village. He honoured her ministry by visiting her village. Men were saved because of her preaching. Instead of telling her she did bad, He stayed for days! Jesus commissioned Mary at the tomb to go and tell the brothers He is risen. Yes, she told them about the risen Christ! The Bible talks positively about a woman called Wisdom, raising her voice in the marketplace. Paul saying women should learn and be given the opportunity and peace to do so was hugely revolutionary in an age where they were considered to be incapable of learning anything. Teaching women was obscenity according to Jewish Rabbis of the day. It was shameful for Jesus to as much as interact with them as we often see in the gospels. That's why even Martha expected Jesus to tell Mary off when she was sitting with Him and the men, because she wanted her back into the kitchen. Jesus disagreed and made it clear Mary should stay - and learn! Even in the old testament, Deborah lead the armies of Israel and advised men...there us simply too much evidence in favour of females who speak and lead, even though in marriage it has always been clear she is to submit to her husband. But as much as not all men are supposed to nurture all women except for their own wives, it makes no sense for all women to submit to all men everywhere. No Biblical ground for that. God bless!

Sharing the gospel isnt the same as being an elder in the church though, is it? All Christians are expected to fulfill the great commission, male and female, but to be in authority over men as a church elder/pastor, that doesnt seem acceptable to me when I read the scriptures.
Back in 2008 I did a mission trip in Brazil. Everyday they divided us up into 3 groups: the women talked with the women, the men talked with the men, and both men and women did VBS activities with the children. I didn't know anyone on this trip because they had all bonded for 3 months while raising funds. I had bonded with a whole other group of people but I didn't raise enough money to go, so I missed my first trip and joined another group. So during the 8 days everyone has their assignments and I was like an outsider looking in. But on the last night we were there many people that had gotten deathly sick from the water, so the leader asked if I could step in and just share my testimony at a little church, when we get there it was packed with about 200 people. Nobody from this group knew Anything about my testimony.. so they though that just because it looked like my life had always been perfect, and served up on a silver platter, they were completely Shocked to hear that I used to be a: homeless, suicidal, drug-addicted, baby killing, gay, prostitute, that was kidnapped for sex trafficking, because I ran away from home after my mom threatened to murder me after she had already murdered my twin baby sisters... I use to struggle with 4 multiple personality disorders, but after being in the Lukewarm church for many years, I finally Listened to the New Testament Bible in just 1 Day, and THE TRUTH completely Set Me Free from every stronghold, emotional, psychological wounds, as well as ALL willful sin from that day forward. Jesus said all we have to do is take EVERY thought and make it Obedient to Christ and then we won't GIVE Satan a foothold. Praise God! So then on our last day there, they said the women at the next village really need to hear my testimony. ~That same year I got involved in prison ministry and so I was going to 5 different prisons every month through various Ministries to encourage the female inmates 2-3 times a week. On the day I volunteered with another prison ministry the leaders asked me if I could come back later that day and share my testimony with their next class. So I went back to the jail and I was taken to a floor that I had never been on before. We set up the gymnasium with over 100 chairs, and then suddenly the room was filled with "Men", so I started to Panic!!! The leader kept telling me that it'll be okay. I gave my testimony and I noticed that many of the men were crying. I thought that the Lord was Convicting them, but no, He was actually healing them through Hope of forgiveness and freedom. After I gave my testimony one-by-one a man would come up and share that he too had been gangrape, or had been beaten by their father, or he almost overdosed, or he had attempted several times to kill themself, etc etc. I suddenly realized that Hurt People = Hurt People, also applies to men!?! That experience instantly removed my fear of men. I thought I would eventually get married, but now that I'm almost 56 I'm still Gladly single and living 100% for the Lord. ~My car windows displaying my testimony...because I can drive by 500 people a day that I'll never get to speak to. Over half of my t-shirts say something to the effect of: "After I Listen to The NT Bible in Just 1 Day, Jesus Set Me Free From XYZ... Push Play Today and Let The Truth Save Your Soul From Ending Up in Hell". People approach me all the time. So I've Never preached a sermon, I have Never Street preached, I have Never even lead a women's only Bible study. I just have hundreds of one-on-one conversations with strangers. The churches are filling up faster than ever with Jezebel preachers..and men are flocking to them like a sheep to the slaughter. ~I strongly believe that it was a Command when Jesus said: Go and sin NO more. For years I have been reading my Bible from cover to cover every single month. I found 182 other New Testament verses that all give the Same warning; exposing who the foolish virgins really are. The main verse that instantly killed my Victim mentality was from 1st John 3:9-10: No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them, they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we KNOW who the children of God are and who the children of the Devil are!! Jesus said MANY (hypocrites that continue to live through the flesh) will say Lord, Lord... the Bible doesn't mince words, so people should stop trying to Manipulate what they think it says. I printed over 5K copies of those verses, so that people can do their own Bible study to realize that their Pastor is more than likely a Wolf in sheep's clothing.

this is why I said you are all here giving answers for all these questions that people are asking you I think they should do a little searching a reading the word of God themselves it's not hard to study your Bible. You underestimate the power of the devil and what he is capable of. He can give you dreams too. He also can speak in your thoughts. Ask your self why would God give an order in the bible which he gave us to live by then tell you to do the opposite of what he instructed in the bible. The devil is a deceiver. The Bible contains God’s guidelines for gender roles within His ordered world. Those roles are different, not greater or lesser. Red and green are different colors. One is not greater than the other, but they are used for different purposes. Together, they complement each other, filling our world with brilliant color. If everything was red or everything was green, we would not appreciate the beauty of either. So it is with gender complementarianism. When men and women work together within their God-designated assignments, God’s kingdom flourishes. Women are called to many areas of service, and they receive gifts from the Holy Spirit just as men do. They should fulfill those callings and use those gifts just as men should. Women with a gift for teaching should use that gift, but within scriptural guidelines. Those guidelines can be found in 1 Timothy 2:12. Know that the emphasis is clear: God designates qualified men to be the leadership in the church with women and most men serving in supporting roles. This does not necessarily mean that men cannot or should not learn from women; it means that women should not have spiritual authority over men. The position of pastor or elder is a role reserved for men-who must also meet certain qualifications (Read Titus 1:5-9). A woman who is gifted in teaching or evangelizing has many avenues for using her gift in the church, as long as she is not usurping the God-given spiritual authority of men. In most complementarian churches, women teach other women and children while mixed adult classes are led by men. A woman may be an excellent communicator and a terrific preacher, but her skill does not negate the Bible’s pattern. She should not be preaching to men, as if she were their spiritual leader, regardless of her giftedness. The biblical prohibition against a woman usurping spiritual authority in the church means, at the very least, that women should not be the definers of doctrine within the church. The authoritative interpreters of Scripture the setters of the spiritual course are to be men. Acts 18:24-26 relates the story of Apollos being taught by a husband-and-wife team named Priscilla and Aquila. Apollos received that teaching, learned the fullness of the gospel message, and became a more dynamic evangelist. Was Priscilla a prototype of modern “woman preachers”? No, the passage is clear that the instruction Apollos received was informal, private, and conducted by both Priscilla and her husband: “They invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately” (verse 26). Priscilla helped share the gospel with Apollos; she was never seen as his spiritual authority in a church setting. Paul later calls Priscilla and her husband “co-workers” with him (Romans 16:3). Some women who are gifted communicators feel called to preach, and in many cases they could do a better job than men in the pulpit. But it is important that they approach the issue biblically and voluntarily limit themselves to those avenues God has designated. Taking on a pastoral role, deciding a church’s spiritual direction, and other ways of exercising authority over men in the church go beyond God’s plan.

Prophetess Anna and many more. MANY men in the bible had daughters who were a Prophetess. Reread the scriptures ❤ & Jesus hand picked 12 Apostle's but He had MANY disciples.

This is not a scripture that validates women preaching, its taking out of context. There is No New Testament scriptures that support women preaching or teaching in pulpit or having Authority in the church ⛪️ over the congregation..!! Men have called women preaching Not the Bible.!! I’m not against women in serving in any capacity in the church, just make sure you’re contextually sound.!!! Don’t make the Bible fit your desires.!!
@ tituswhite7156 You are taking this scripture out context yourself. First it’s not a commandment from God. Paul was talking to the women of Corinth. God truly have spoken to women and gave them the gift of the calling he chose for them. Those women were taking over authority not these women on these comments. Spreading the gospel for eternal life has nothing to do with a position of a man. It has something to do with God and his calling to whosoever he will. In Corinthians Paul was talking about speaking in an unknown tongue and he also told the men to keep silence if there was no interpreter. Nothing to do with teaching the word. Jesus told Paul to preach to the Gentiles of idol worshippers not Israel. He had to teach them that way because he had to teach them righteousness so he had to set it in order in their church not Jesus church. Jesus didn’t have a church building and Paul also said the women taught and helped him. Not the women in Corinth. And he said many of the women (not women from Corinth) not help, but labored with him in the GISPEL with some of the men. First you must learn why he set that church in Corinth in order. He was speaking what he did to them.

It is our duty as the stronger vessel to not allow any serpents into our garden. It is our duty to destroy it before it gets to her. By getting to her, satan gets to you. Well the woman at the well preached to the people who came to Jesus. Mary told the good news to the disciples as Jesus told her to. He’s pointing out acts 2 because it’s fulfillment of Joel 2:28. Contrary to popular belief preaching the gospel is prophecy. There is no gender in the Spirit. This is no debate. Pastoring? We could talk about that. We’re taking letters to a specific culture and putting it against the Word. That doesn’t make sense. If they can’t preach take out Joel and the fact that Jesus had women disciples whether you choose to see it or not.
