Now the man I am with now... from the moment our eyes locked there was something so deep and I just knew in my soul that he and I would be in each other's lives, I didn't know who he even was then my at that time current bf a few days later ended up introducing he and I.... Yes they were friends! lol when I saw him it was as he walked past me in a gas station randomly... 4 years later and he has finally realized what I am to him and what we could be and we are now working on building a life and family together :)
I am someone who can be friends with someone that I like. I’m the kind of person who has to observe someone before I like them. Many people can check off the superficial boxes, but not too many check off the boxes that really matter. I want the man to be worth my time before I start pouring my feelings into him. All of the guys that I have liked we were friends first. It was a good thing because I was able to see them as a friend and see some of the traits I like and didn’t like. I do my best to not let them know that I like them like that so they don’t try to make a move based on that. I want to make sure before I allow them in.
I do not believe guys and gals can be friends if one or both are attracted and want each other. But healthy marriages (I’ve heard) started with the couples being friends first.
These healthily married folk that were friends first need to give us the guideline of how that happened lol being friends sounds ideal, but I’m with my sis Nae, I most definitely get to romanticizing😅. Because I value God’s timing,I am more then willing to practice the discipline to ensure I’m following His Will regarding who to be in relationship (whether friendship or more) with.
If you were never friends to begin with you will not be only friends... there is this girl she was in a relationship for like 3 years almost than back and that fell in love with me for like one year straight, we did so many things... some things she did first time with me and not with her bf... and I motivated and inspired her a lot to be a better version of herself just like she helped me also etc etc, but love happened... and now when she finally realized she don't want to do that anymore and want to build up that bad relationship, she now wants us to be friends, yea right, never. NEVER, we were friends for like 2 months maybe rest all is love...
