I love to do the same thing, Nikol! I use those days when I have nowhere to go to experiment with my hair and makeup. SO much fun and you’re right...it absolutely lifts your spirit!!!
Nikol, I’m 60 years old and you made me feel a little better about myself that it brought tears to my eyes. Made me feel good. Thanks for the video. Following you. 🤗❤️
Nikol, I love, love, love your posts. A few years ago I took the plunge and grew out my dyed hair and I love it, why didn't I do it long ago? My beauty question for you is how do you address the problem of very thin lips? Mine were always thinnish but now that I am in my 60's they have gone missing. Any suggestions?
I have white hair and was told l look 99 years old and look washed out. I color my hair. I just turned 70 on November 15th, 2023. I hate it. Nikol how long does it take for you to get ready to go somewhere.
I recall seeing beautiful photos of you seated at a small table in NYC, (carrying an orange Hermes bag). I think your eyebrows were very elegant and well-blanced for your face. Now, they seem too heavy and dominate your face. What do you think?😻
Dear Nikol, your hair is absolutely beautiful. What a fun video...I'm going to do my makeup and at least take a selfie! Thanks for the inspiration in these difficult times.
Your closing comments about glamming it up to make you feel better IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING!!!!!! And for that EXACT REASON!!! Hair, makeup (Your MakeUp!), painted nails, cheerful (some swanky) clothes, All of that! Lately, I've been wearing flowy maxi dresses. My husband asked me, "Where are YOU going???" And I told him, "...to the kitchen." FOR REAL! It has truly helped my sanity to go all out AND it's really fun! On top of that, I'm letting my silver grow out, and I'm having a blast! SO THANK YOU, NIKOL. You were the inspiration, and I hope the rest of your followers will try this because it's awesome medicine for the Soul! GROUP HUG! :-)
Yay!!! I’ve put my make up on every day since shelter in place started. And false eyelashes every day, too. I don’t do anything over the top crazy but I just want to feel good when I look in the mirror and present my best self when I’m out and about. So many days in the past few months I saw nobody or almost nobody but I still felt like myself. I’m almost 62 by the way
THIS VIDEO IS FANTASTIC!!!💯❤ Such professional instruction, and so thorough which tells me you hustle girl💯 Thank you for being such an inspiration for us mature viewers who love skincare and makeup. It seems to me that in my opinion, you can never learn enough when it comes to the artistry of the beauty and lifestyle world. Bravo! 👍❤✌
In a world of constant criticism, rules and constant judgement, you step up with a you can do anything, be anything and that is the message we all need right now. So thank you for this channel and thank you for being that inner voice which tells us to let go of what others project on to us and just be free and do what ever we want. P.s I’m adoring this makeup look and feeling less scared to just go for it and rock a smoky eye! Thankyou Nikol for just being you, I love this channel. 🥰💖
I loved hearing you say you didn't have to "mat it all down." I was just feeling terrible about my fly-away greys this morning and feeling blah. Embracing them is so much easier.
Absolutely beautiful! You are such an inspiration! Got my products last week and truly love! Now if I can master application like you have I’ll be set. Blessings Nikol
Hi Nikol great video. You look beautiful 💖 This was such a wonderful message so many people are misinformed that if a woman has gray hair she's given up and doesn't care about her appearance. This can't be further from the truth. Many women my self included find they have a whole new color palette to wear whether in clothes or makeup. Enjoy your Sunday 😍🤗
Yes you can look glam with grey hair, taken you have a blow out every time you wash it, you have volume, you always wear make up and specially lipstick, as well as some kind of lash. Otherwise, you will not look glam. You will look your natural, undefined, blend, washed out and unglamorous self. It’s important to realize that make up and clothes will make grey hair you better than if you just walk around without the “production” that it takes to keep you attractive.
First of all, thank you for your tutorials - they are really good! I just found you a couple of weeks ago and have been binging ever since. I don’t know what it was about this video, however, that has reduced me to tears! I was one of the gals who started a skin care regimen in my teens as my acne was rampant! I am now 58 years old and - until a painful autoimmune disorder struck in 2020 - I did not have even one fine line. I now have two deep frown lines (or as I call them: pain lines) etched into my lower face. Any chance you could do a video for people like me? I’m sure there must be others out there whose face changed over the pandemic, even if they don’t live in a fly-in/fly-out Arctic town. 😉 Thank you for generously sharing your time and expertise with all of us. Just because I AM a Grandma, I don’t want to immediately LOOK like a Grandma, and girl videos have really helped! (that eyeliner straight up flick at the outside of the eye tip was life changing!)
I absolutely love your hair. I’m 35 and have silver tinsel. Letting the grey come in naturally. It’s so freeing not to dye. My hair is naturally curly so the grey frizzies don’t bother me!
You do it up right woman! I grew up Greek too. But was forbidden to play with makeup. Of course I did rebel. I became my own chemist. Lol! I took powder and a smidgen of food color to water. Then would very carefully add bits to the powder. 😂 This procces would take days by the time the powder would dry, and then I would play. So when you giggle about dressing up with you beautiful bone structure, a silver hair just to watch reality TV. Woman I get it. When I became a licensed RN I went immediately to the OR. It was pointless to dress my face just to have it run down, or smudge all around due to the garb required, and the 😓. With this COVID crisis I don't bother again. It would just rub off or smear. But you bet I do my eyes. That is my best asset, and I show my big brown eyes off! Thanks my dear. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. You are beautiful. Gals like me who really were not taught how (as if it was scandalous) could use your tips. At sixty and at the tail end of my silver hair journey. Now I really see my best features as they are. 😘❤ 🇬🇷
Omg Nikol I do the same thing as far as glaming up even if I"m not going out because it just makes me feel good and not so frumpy. I've had friends tell me they wouldn't even bother if they weren't leaving the house but I just have to feel good about me, I don't care what anyone else thinks!! You look amazing, thanks so much for sharing your tips and thoughts!!
You look beautiful with the frizzy hair! I love the natural look. You are gorgeous, inside and out. Thank you for helping us embrace ourselves just the way we are!
I'm new to learning how apply eye shadow and your tutorials are so wonderfully on point, thank you for talking through the steps easily. And thank you for confidence in grey 🙂 I'm in my 30s and mine has few greys and i love them... my sister who had disabilities passed away in our 20s.. and i find that my grey hairs are a blessing that I'm alive. Aging is a gift🙂 Aging beautifully even more so 🙂
Perfect timing. I chopped my hair off to speed up my transition to gray and when I look in the mirror I feel so old and unrecognizable. I need to glam up tomorrow so I feel better about myself.
I started growing out in March and I am so glad that I did..I can't wait to embrace it fully. I love your candidness!! Thank you for all the great videos. Can't wait to order your primer. :)
I started letting the gray grow in March as well! Nikol’s primer is THE BEST!! I am 58 and thought I’d tried every primer on the market. I am SO grateful to Nikol for solving this problem for us!!
Just no. The hair is entirely toooooo big for her face and frame. Way too much volume on the sides. Brows too dark for the hair, and once again too big for the proportion of her face/frame. The hair color? I get it. Hair color is a PAIN. But damn, she could look 20 years younger in an hour if she slapped ANY other color on that wig. Sorry, not hating, but let’s be objective rather than harbor this fantasy that all things are equal. The pics don’t lie
I’m 35 and you are my makeup guru. I can’t stand the pile and pile of makeup on. I love Nikol so much for just making simply makeup application look absolutely stunning 😍.
Oh Nicole! I do miss “playing “ make up. I had a friend after high school, she and I would do ea others make up and have such FUN!!! Different colors, different styles, sometimes styles we would never wear in public, but sometimes the looks that were supposed to be over the top, turned out to be just flat beautiful!! I’m trying this look! Even though I’m usually a natural look kind of girl. Have fun! Weeeeeeee!😅
Nikol, you are beautiful inside and out. How you are able to do what you do with such fun and informative videos, Not to mention funny!! I am still laughing over a comment you made in one of your videos about Studio 54 makeup. That was me back then, LOL..now that I am 78 I have really toned it down but still love makeup. BUT, now that I am at that I age I really appreciate your tutorials on age appropriate makeup. Love you and God bless.
You can be glam with gray hair because you have enough hair for 3 heads... you have more hair than 90% of us over 40 do. My hair has thinned with age and hypothyroidism, and if I let it go gray on top of that it would look awful. I’m happy with my highlights and long Beachy waves, but if I had your hair I’d definitely go gray in a minute. It’s extremely flattering on you.
Hi Nikol, my name is Janice from Australia, I watch you as much as I can and want to know if I can buy your products in Australia if not how do I get them. I am 78yrs young and love beauty and style, thank you Nikol from Janice.🦘🤗
I kind of get the gray hair but how does super heavy make up make anyone look better? Make up is supposed to enhance; the make up makes you look older and not classy. You look so much better without tons of make up…only my opinion .
🌷This was great and fun. I also play with makeup. I have experimented with over the top eyes just for the fun of it. I do, though, wear eyeliner and shadow, do my eyebrows, and play with my hair every day. I have long silver and dark hair, it’s fine and glossy, but not thick. I’m a youngish 70, keep slim and keep moving. I think wearing makeup is a way of helping me to feel like myself, and makes me feel good when I see myself. I have laugh lines and a few dark spots. Your energy and enthusiasm is inspirational. And your encouragement to experiment is good advice. Thank you.❤️🌟❤️
Nikol, your joy is so beautiful. Your makeup is truly beautiful but the inside of you is the real topper...Nikol being free. Also, you are a fantastic teacher. I watch a video every day to be inspired. Next is to purchase some of your products. Thank you for the giving of yourself. 🌹
I have been getting gray hair from the age of 19. I have a lot of gray now, but I feel that it would age me so much to have tons of gray. I am not mentally ready to go natural yet, it would be a hot mess. It would age me 20years😂 It is personal preference though, and everyone should do whatever makes them happy and comfortable with themselves. Thank you for your video. Very nice makeup.
Hi Nikol, this video is one of your greatest , but all your videos are great. I really like this look. I am 72 and for the past 20 years , I wear makeup very day even when I m sick because when you are all made up you feel better and beautiful. Thank you, you are beautiful lady.
The result is really beautiful and you are always so gorgeous :) But this is a bit too long for me. While you were doing just the eyes I did all my ironing, and it was a lot :D However, it is great inspiration and your technique is perfect so thank you! And of course one can be glam with grey hair, and classy.
Gosh, how I wish Nichol would do my makeup...My hair has your same color texture and volume..I finally cut it short after growing it out for several month. I love my gray short hair. Total freedom..
You look gorgeous! I agree about going all out with the makeup. Since this whole madness started I rarely put on full makeup, but when I do, I go all out, and it is fun. Even if I’m just going to sit out in my backyard with a glass of wine. Makes me feel alive.
I loved this video Nikol. You always make things fun. I'm going to start wearing makeup on my days off to make me feel better and younger, because seriously when I looked in the mirror today whoa! I looked like scary old. Hahaha. Thank you so much.
My dyed hair was frizzy too! That was beautiful! It was fun! I will put my make up tomorrow! Sometimes I don’t want to cuz I am too lazy to take it off😬 But you are right, it feels good to put it on! Thanks!
Can't wait to watch but can you explain how to apply your mascara without it clumping? I purchased because of the applicator and my short straight lashes...first time out...clumped.
Thanks Nikol, I had a great time watching that! I have been embracing my Grey's coming through for a couple of years now. To be honest I find it liberating!
