Chief at least has a decent form of protection against Floods provided he isn't swarmed by them (in the novel though, he actually nearly gets infected until Cortana overloads his suit and fries all the Flood attached to him). The Marines don't outside of a combat vest and some armor padding.

@@XtreemAlanThat wouldn’t even make sense because in halo wars 1, H3, h2 non augmented humans can access forerunner technology and were referred to as reclaimers … I know 343 lore did that but even then it doesn’t make sense

Just like how in Halo 3 the terminals said the Librarian buried the portal to the Ark before the Rings could fire, watched Mendocate Bias blot out stars in real time from Earth, destroyed all the Keyships, despite the Dreadnought being a key pet in Halo 3 oh and the terminals that told this story were also specifically written by Frank O’Connor, who also once wrote that the Precursors also fought the Flood, just as the Forerunners did, despite it being common knowledge that the Flood were made from Precursors, which Frank also wrote The man retcons his own retcons

Unfortunately 343 industries is hyper focused on Spartans, we barely saw any marines in all 3 of their games and not a single ODST in any of them.

Had this idea for the next halo game. One campaign for chief, and one for Arbiter. Different gameplay mechanics. Structure the story around humanity forming a new alliance with the Sangheli. The beginnings of a space federation or new "Covenant".

Yup, when it comes to Marines the threat levels are reversed. Infection forms are more dangerous than combat forms.

@@BadLuckWolves Also use your pistols for the combat forms if you don't have shotguns. The pistol is much better than the assault rifle but as the infection forms 1 hit kill you you'll need an assault rifle for library. Still for secondary weapon use pistol if you can't find shotgun.

@@Marinealver Being fair to the combat forms, if this was book Halo getting clawed is an instant infection the same as being bit by a zombie in other media. Hell, having them drip flesh on you is enough

Old habits from being Spartans and mag dumping into them, I think later we tap-fired a bit for range against the Flood

in my head cannon, ma5b had recoil compensator like an94 so it's easy to shoot 7.62 rounds for normal infantry

@@SonOfTheChinChin There is no mention of any recoil mitigation system for the MA5B assault rifle on the wiki which surprised me , not even a compensator , so I actually enjoy this idea , as even the one that Sgt. Forge uses against the Arbiter of his time , he displays 0 recoil. Which in truth , could possibly be due to inattention to detail via the motion-capture actor.

​@@SonOfTheChinChin yeah I like that I like to believe recoil only exists in Halo for obvious gameplay reasons But no way hundreds of years in the future are we using ARs as inaccurate as the assault rifle - I'm sure even in lore those eyepieces the marines have will give a real time "reticle" so they see where they are aiming. I also assume night vision, and motion tracking but I digress But I reckon these marines could hold accurate sustained fire against most targets

I miss it and I'm gutted they haven't had it feature since, not even as a legendary weapon

Can we get more PVE/Campaign content?

Well we got Firefight finally. Though it just seems a little off. Maybe it is because it is on multi-player maps that weren't designed for it.

@@Marinealver Yeah.... I messed with the game mode and tried to make an Infinite Firefight like how I did on Halo Anniversary CE and Installation 004. It never worked, hell fuggin theater never worked anyways, thnx 343i. In game reporting the sweats and the idiotic kids, the decline of video games. Damn near everything for that game sucks. Maps with pit falls abundant, cheaters and you don't even need hax because the game was made by them. The game cheats for you which is why every child playing thinks they are God because they have zero frame of reference.

Marines have more health than masterchief haha. They can tank at least 2 beam rife shots

The flood was basically following you in, it was smart enough to ambush you once you were deep enough inside of the facility instead of attacking right as you got out of the pelican. Same with Keyes group, even though the covies locked the door down there's no way they actually contained the flood in there just some of them.

@@BadLuckWolves It's remarkably janky isn't it? It looks okay in third person but the lag in first and the throw delay is weird. The step forward part is goofy too; I managed to throw myself off a cliff trying to chuck one. Still, playing single player grenades are your best friend due to how brittle you are and how slow the AI is.

@@BadLuckWolves ah yeah i mean at first i didnt think it was gona b that hard but i soon figured that out and mind yu i was by myself so i had to dodge infection forms galore and properly combat dance to avoid plasma shots as much as humanly possible ;v;

The AR flashlights were the best

They literally would've made the horror element better and the scare factor when you realize your being jumped by cloaked elites in an un well lit space oooh you feel the pucker factor immediately

We have no shields, we deal as much damage as the Marines and have their exact health

There is a difference. We have the technical stats of a Marine and drops, although helpful, can easily be destroyed. We die just as easily as they can and do have their health

@@BadLuckWolves What is "technical stats of a marine" when it's not an RPG & the only thing that should change is the health system? Like Marines shouldn't have a shield that recharges & should have less health. They also shouldn't do any less damage as they are using the same weapon systems chief uses. They also shouldn't jump as high, but that would break the game as you couldn't get to certain places to progress. I saw that you all died easier due to the flood. But I couldn't see the health indicator as you had your logo blocking it. So essentially, what exactly does this mod do? Just give you less health & apparently less damage somehow?
