My family of 8 siblings loved the game and played it all the time for years between 2000 and 2010, I am the 8th and was born in 2006, and I was the first one to discover it in like 2018, years after they all stopped playing it lol (but I only did so after beating adventure mode too haha)
no jumping, no itens, no wumpas, no shortcuts, no breaking, no off-road, no advanced characters, no intermediate characters, super hard code on. This needs to be the next challenge
Basically how me and my mom played the game when I was a kid because I didn't know English to understand the tutorials and didn't realize you could slide boost.
That's literally how I beat the game as a kid not knowing you could jump in the game. Took me a few months to get to Oxide, and another one to defeat him.
Unironically, this is how I used to play CTR back in the day because I didn't know what the texts or dialogues said. I had the NTSC ver. and English is not my mother tongue. LOLOLOL
24:24 Of course they would design all the big jumps to be possible without hopping, if you can't get the timing right. Hopping off jumps is only good for extending your "hang time turbos".😉
Awesome job man!!! I didn't know about that oxside station skip!!!😮❤ I do the one where you jump over the ledge I didn't know that you could go off the ramp ride the ledge then make a right!!!😮❤
Yeah, it's totally possible to beat the basic game without jumping, that's what the 101% is for, to teach you about all the other stuff that is vital to get better
Expert Speedrunner challenges himself to play exactly as I played as kid when i didn't know the boost mechanic and completed CTR Adventure always like this. And I can see it's the same for many. Does this make the Kids the Ultimate Speedrunners?
I once did this in NF for a few races after seeing people say that the game was too difficult, so i wanted to test how truly cheap the CPUs actually are, turns out it's not that much of a problem in most cases, since there's no items as broken as Red Shells in the game, it's way easier to break out of the crowd in this one (Normal difficulty at least). Muscle memory is kinda hard to keep down in a game like this tho, which must've been torture for ya
@@HypnosharkSR All ramp jumps are possible without pressing the jump button, by the way. All except the short cuts. The designers made it so you could finish the races without jumping.
